Spurs v Man Utd 1-1
BAE came off the bench to help set up Dempsey's late equaliser, after RVP's 18 league goal of the season put Utd in front. RVP has now scored in 9 of his last 10 games.
Young was out injured but it still didn't afford Valencia a start. Evans is still injured while Rooney came on for the last 30mins.
Vertonghen dropped to the bench (illness)while Bale has fired blanks in 4 of his last 5 games.
Chelsea v Arsenal 2-1
Arsenal could've snatched a draw after a woeful first half where Mata and Lampard scored. Azpilicueta and Ramires with the assists. Flavour of the week Walcott scored from Cazorla's assist.
Torres started ahead of Ba as he put in another poor display while Mertesacker kept his place ahead of Koscielney. Giroud was CF as Walcott played on the wing.
West Ham v QPR 1-1
It was two new signings Joe Cole and Loic Remy who got on the scoresheet another new signing Chamakh also impressed.
Tomkins played with Collins out injured, Nolan's barren run continues. Nelsen again lined up for The R's while Cisse has gone on a wallet-fattening mission in Qatar until the end of the season.
Man City v Fulham 2-0
Fulham's desperate run continues with two wins in 14 and 1 CS in 15. They offered nothing here. Kacaniklic spent the game on the bench.
Zabaleta was taken off with an ankle injury but it shouldn't be too serious. Aguero played the last 10mins after his hamstring injury with Tevez and Dzeko again starting. Silva was the hero with both goals.
Newcastle v Reading 1-2
Three wins in 18 now for Newcastle as they find themselves in a relegation dog fight. Pardew had his pants pulled down by Remy's late u-turn to join QPR. Cisse could've scored a hat-trick but it was Cabaye who scored before coming off with a groin complaint.
Le Fondre came off the bench to bag a brace as Reading notched a come-from-behind win for the second consecutive game. Harte continues to get a gig at LB.
Liverpool v Norwich 5-0
Henderson, Suarez, Sturridge, Gerrard and Bennett (OG) were the scorers as Liverpool once again tore Norwich apart.
Skrtel (rested), Sterling (rotated) and Allen (sh*t) were all on the bench.
Pilkington and Hoolahan were surprisingly benched for Norwich.
Liverpool's next two are away to Arsenal and Man City.
Wigan v Sunderland 2-3
Wigan plunged into the relegation zone after defeat and have now won one game in 10. Maloney was one of their better players while Man Utd loanee Henriquez came off the bench to score. Alcaraz is nearing a return.
Fletcher was excellent and scored twice while budget priced Gardner scored from the spot. Adam Johnson snared further attacking returns with another assist. The Black Cats have won 4 from 6 and are in the middle of a nice run of fixtures.
Southampton v Everton 0-0
After guiding them to two straight promotions, Nigel Atkins had Soton above the relegation zone with 2 defeats in 12. Culminating in a 2 goal comeback at Stamford Bridge last week there was only one possible outcome the Chairman could take. Sack him!
To be fair to the new manager Pochettino, Southampton put on a decent show. Lambert the star-performer.
Fellaini played a bit deeper but still picked up a couple of BP's. Mirallas played the last 20mins after injury.
Swansea v Stoke 3-1
Ben Davies' attacking instincts harvested a goal while De Guzman scored a brace. Owen's 90th min consolation was a welcome goal for those of us not holding any Swansea defenders. Michu was replaced for the last 15mins most likely looking ahead to yet another annoying cup game this midweek.
Stoke's poor form continues.
