It's like trading games, but set on nightmare difficulty! :D

So, I was asked by a mate after round 2 "So, I hear you're good at SuperCoach, reckon you could help me with my team?"

Sure I said- little did I know the dramatic amount of work that would be involved- here comes the squad.

Def: Gwilt, Fletcher, Warnock, Guerra, Tape, Shaw (GCS), Webberley (Guthrie, Schofield, Davis)

Mid: Ablett, Judd, Bartel, Ling, Hislop, Slattery (hine, Weller, A. Smith)

    Ruc: Sandilands, Hille (Bellchambers, Tippett)

Fwd: Franklin, Didak, JRoo, Hardingham, Monfries, Milne, Houlihan (D. Daniher, Black, M. Williams)

As you can see, it's gunna take a lot of work to get this squad into the finals- then win the sucker, particularly with the amount of Bombers this squad has got! :D

Now, the league is ok, there's a couple of teams with TS-like selections, but I reckon with a bit of luck, we'll be able to squeek in. Thank goodness for the next three byes though!! :D

Defenders are pretty ugly and are gunna need a lot of work, Mids are alright, but a distinct lack of cows and horrid mid-pricers need addressing. Rucks go alright, the Hille/Bellchambers coupling was inspired! While the forwards are workable- Houlihan has an 8 week injury, and Williams needs to go, but the rest could go alright.

So far, I've made 4 trades on the list-
    Out Black, In Tapscott
    Out Schofield, in Heppell
    Out Webberly, in Smith
    Out Hislop, in Harris

Looking to bring in Petrie next week to sure up the ruck F/R link, but then we'll take it week by week.

Stay tuned to see if we can't get this squad into the finals!

Do you really need the F/R link when you have Bellchambers on the bench for coverage?

When the Bombers have a bye- yes. :D Also, he should be decent value as an F7.

    How much in the kitty?

Might be fortuitous in that there are a no. of new rooks getting games this round + a further wait on Pedersen. Suggest you might keep a mid spot warm for Wallis as well.

He sure got lucky with that selection of Hardingham, he looks set to be a good pick this year, SC wise.

walesy - is the team 0-3 or have they managed to scape a win?

it would be good to post the sides league results and trades each week - and maybe for the benefit of newbies outline soem of the WHY specific trades are being done

IMO you are definitely making the right trades in getting soem solid cows into the team and booting out soem real strugglers, assuming reasonable luck in close league matches they can nab 8th spot in the league and then a prelim final or grand final finish is a real chance if there are enough trades in hand !

    That's funny!
Wouldn't know where to start apart from looking up wikipaedia to find out who half those players are.
Agree with Thunda that the F/R link is the least of the problems.
Get Swan and make him captain. It will double the current scoring output.

Nah, missed the finals by a win and a whole boat load of percentage.

Funnily, 2 of our wins were against the #1 and #2 teams which was quite the scalps- but sadly, it was simply too much of a lost cause! :D

    Should dominate the 2nds though.
