Not long to go now in our fantasy leagues. Weve just had a midseason break due to the All Star game, which has seemed like a long time away from the daily fantasy cast and stat watching that goes on being involved in this game. Tomorrow, we will finally have some NBA games back on, and there are still 6 days to go in the current matchup (including tomorrow). After the current matchup, we will only have 2 more games of our regular season, and the fight for playoff spots is alive and well. The top 6 teams in each league will make the playoffs, with the winner of each conference/division getting a bye in the 1st round.

There are still no teams that are mathematically out of the finals equation; however it does not look promising for a few teams sitting on just 1 win each with all three teams in 6th place on 4 wins.

Now is probably a good time to revisit the promotion/relegation system we worked out prior to the season too...

Premier league – bottom 2 relegated
<div>Div 1 – top 2 promoted to Premier league, bottom 4 relegated to Div 2
<div>Div 2 – top 4 promoted to Div 1
- The 4 going up from Div 2 to Div 1 will be the two grand final teams, and (excluding the two GF teams) the two best ranked teams at end of our regular season.The 2 teams going up from Div 1 to Premier will be the GF winning team, and the team with the best Reg season record (excluding GF winner of course). The teams being relegated from Premier and Division 1 will be the bottom 2 and 4 teams respectively at the end of the regular season.

*Although there is a get-out clause if you do happen to find yourself in the relegation zone -  if a team wins the minor premiership (the league splits into two finals systems like SuperCoach) they are exempt from relegation, and the next highest ranked at end of regular season will be relegated.

Over the break, we will look at the the run home for each team. Im gonna writeup the Premier League and Steve has done the Division 1, although smokinjoemisiti cannot do the Division 2 writeup this week, so I thought Id see if anyone in that league wants to do the run home analysis - let us know in the comments if you want to::::::

The Jug-O-Naughts are currently leading their match against Get Knicked by (1012-743).  They are in locked in a battle with Albert Park Rangers (8-0) for top spot in the Too Conference.  The winner of that conference gets a bye in the first week of the final.  The game next round against the Albert Park Rangers will most likely decide who gets top spot.  They are guaranteed a spot in the finals.

I am currently leading Bucks Fizz by 983-905, however Bucks Fizz has a more favourable schedule for the remainder of the week so this match will go down to the wire.   I am locked in a 3 way battle with Canuck Steelers (4-4) and Get Knicked (4-4) for top spot in the Serious Conference.  The top team in this conference will also get a first round bye.  It could well come down to the last round of the season where I play Get Knicked to see who finishes top.  But I could also drop out of the finals if I lose 2 out of my last 3 games.

The Steelers look like they are going to win their current match against CK Nicks as they are leading 739-585.   That means based on current form it there will be a lot riding on the next round’s game against Get Knicked as the winner will survive for another week while the loser will potentially drop out of the final’s race.

Still yet to play: Canuck Steelers (4-4), LInsanity 17 (4-4)

Get Knicked are in trouble in this current match against the Jug-O-Naughts as they are down (1012-743).   That means Get Knicked will face a crucial last 2 weeks of the season where possibly one win will be enough to get into the finals but more than likely they will need 2 wins.

CK Nicks (Costak) 3-5

Still yet to play:  Linsanity 17 (4-4),  Doobia Dominators (1-7)

The CK Nicks need a miracle in this current matchup as it looks like they will need to win this round to have a chance of making the finals.   They are currently losing to the Canuck Steelers (739-585).   To complicate matters even further, they will most likely need to win the last 2 rounds and hope results go their way to make the finals.

Everton 149érs (Rev) 1-7

Still yet to play:  NahlavLittleDee (2-6), Team Stowie (3-5)

The Everton 149érs are currently behind in their match against Doobia Dominators (755-687).  They will be hoping to sneak over the line in this match and then finish off the season strong in their last 2 games.

Not much has gone right for Doobs this season with injuries but he is leading his match this round against the Everton 149érs (755-687).   The winner of this match will probably avoid bottom spot in the Serious Conference so there is a lot to play for.
