Along with BigFooty & TrueSainters we hope we can help Mahmoud reach his goal and give him support in this great initiative. So please help out with whatever you can. <blockquote>Dear TooSerious folk,
In MAY of 2012 I will attempt to run from my house in Melbourne 3178 to the Sydney Opera house In Sydney and hope to raise $20 000 for the Australasian Gasto-Intestinal trials group and It will be In memory of my late father who passed away after battling stomach cancer on top of a 5 year battle with Leukemia.
A few months back I raised $3500 for the Leukemia foundation after running from my house to the MCG which took about 5 or so hours and 40 kilometers.
40ks Isnt much so Im going to up the Anty. I was initally motivated by Shane Crawfords incredible run from Adelaide to Melbourne. My run will take roughly 14 days consisting of 18 hours running, 4 hours sleeping and 2 hours to eat/recoopertate a day for two weeks straight.
Theirs no doubt in my mind I can do this but I need YOUR HELP! Im sure out of the thousands of people that go on BIGFOOTY/TRUESAINTERS & TOOSERIOUS someone must have a connection somewhere. Hopefully someone knows someone somewhere that can help in getting this story big and maximizing donations to the organization.
I hope I have all your support. Im not doing this for me, Im doing this for every cancer sufferer out their and every person whos been affected by cancer. Im only 18 and have to deal with having no father for the rest of my life, Its extremely difficult but Cancer is a reality and its something that is prevalent in this day and age BUT its something I WANT TO HELP GET RID OF!
I cant do it without you guys!
Thank you guys! RIP DAD
Mahmoud Chatila (VivaLaRaza)
