Hey all, I've been looking for a while now but am struggling to find a good cheap player who will play, that has an M/F link, would be great to have this combo, only person I have considered is Ben Kennedy from Collingwood, thoughts on him? And whats everyone doing with the FWD/MID link, or not going to bother with it for the time being... Thanks in advance, Fitzy

Thanks in advance, Fitzy My current thought on this is I will probably open up the M/F link via an upgrade prior to the byes, simply the only way I can currently see with the apparent lack of opportunities the cheap M/F players look like getting early in season. Only exceptions could be Neade from Port & Kennedy from Pies, but I don't see them as being in best 22-26 at respective clubs atm

Have Neade in there, but really relying on swapping prems at the moment.

And TiB by swapping prems do you also mean having a Jordan Lewis type player in your midfield? Could of sworn reading in the RMT thread that you were against putting a gun fwd/back in your midfield. But I may have misunderstood :)

Fitzy, the via an upgrade meaning that when you trade out two rookie cash-cows you bring in one new premium and one new (F/M) rookie.

Plenty of people starting Varcoe. Is it worthwhile starting him in the mids and keeping him all season as a swing man who will ultimately be kept on the bench? Or is it too much of a waste of a mid spot?

There's plenty of decent mid rookies to choose from, but not many forwards, so if you want Varcoe, start him as a forward, and then you can move players around by either trading in a M/F rookie to the mids as a downgrade, or by simply swapping player positions as part of a trade.

Are the links worth activating this year? I understand they can be handy if they exist but I have not selected with specific consideration for any link other Fwd Ruck this year. To be honest I assumed we were all doing the same thing, no?

It's only a waste if your bench rookies are scoring more than him... If you've paid for him, you may as well use him.
