Previous years have been decided by 1 win, wondering how the byes play into this. Counting Chol's average as regular score so as not to have to factor in position changes. This means that if he becomes a regular ruck later, I won't be counting games spent as an OOP ruck at half.

the committee for The People's Beard would like it noted that scoring 162 & 113 should result in an average of 137.5, not 117.
Counting total average, which includes the phantom round. It's for tiebreakers. Interestingly, this has shaped a Lucky Find. Because I counted the total averages, Sheezel won with a slightly better average. However, if the bye rounds didn't count, Wood had a slightly better average.
You are Mr Big Tap Holky so it’s your call mate. I just figured we don’t count bye rounds so why would we count a non FU round? No stress though, it’s all a bit of fun
All good. Not counting retroactive (so Sheezel still wins Lucky Find) but I'll go with what the poll says.

Gawn and Nankervis have the R6 bye. This gives English 1 extra game. That said, it will likely come down to individual matchups. In R6, Nuytsland play Ararat, meaning Luke Jackson will probably be taking that matchup.

ruck /rʌk/ noun Rugby a loose scrum formed around a player with the ball on the ground. "players will be encouraged to go to the ground when tackled to form a ruck" Australian Rules Football a group of three players who follow the play without fixed positions. a tightly packed crowd of people. "Harry squeezed through the ruck to order another pint" @Batfink I think it's the second one

I feel like a 0 from the team having a bye should count as a null instead of a loss, because a loss goes on the player's record as a loss and puts them in a worse position regarding the standings (5-0 > 5-1). Actually, no. Other teams who have been bye affected have switched rucks. It's not much effort if someone is changing their team around a bye anyway.

I am confused... How can it be a loss? (not that it matters in the overall scheme of things) I didn't have any players to fill the gap so he was left there. That decision defies logic.
Hmm. That said, there is a paradox where a 0 is usually a sign of not playing and therefore doesn't count towards an average. And Witts last year got counted as a loss because of a late out due to injuries. I have counted the score of the position of ruck. But where that position is filled by a player that doesn't play... is that different to a null?
New ruling: A player who scores 0 from missing the game counts as a 0 and doesn't recieve a loss. The scoring ruck still gets a win.
