My first thought is for Geelong to win by 21 points with Kelly winning the Norm Smith - but this could change by Saturday!!!
If we are going to do this, might aswell do it properly 1st team to score - Geelong 1st Goal Scorer - Travis Cloke Qtr Time - Collingwood Half Time - Geelong 3 Qtr Time - Geelong Premiers - Geelong by 37 points Norm Smith - Jimmy Bartel
1st Team to score; Collingwood (behind) 1st Goalscorer; Scott Pendlebury Quarter Time - Collingwood (by 9) Half Time - Collingwood (by 11) 3Quarter Time - Geelong (by 6) Full Time - Geelong (by 3) Winner; Geelong Norm Smith; A different one but; Andrew Mackie Hope it's close, just want to enjoy one where it's really close and I don't have to worry about losing, never really seen one (for example I don't remember much of '05 and '06 cause I was only 6 and 7 at the time, in 2007 it wasn't close, in 2008 Hawthorn won by mid 20s which I didn't find exciting, in 2009 and 2010 it was my team so I was nervous witb the close ones, that's why I'm hoping it's a close one this year). Anyway, looking forward for a good Grand Final day.
Sainter your 12? Wow. Very articulate for your age. 2008 was a cracker - we all expected Geelong to eventually win it, but no they couldn't. Pies for mine by about 50. Dominate the day. 1st Team to score; Collingwood 1st Goalscorer; Daisy (long shot) Quarter Time - Collingwood (by 19) Half Time - Collingwood (by 31) 3Quarter Time - Collingwood (by 41) Full Time - Collingwood (by 50) Smithy - Pendles pips Swan who pips Duckwood
Sainter you're a star for your age hehe. Would love to see you win the car next year. Won't put a prediction down as I'm not that sure and even if I was, it could be changed by injury actualities. At the moment I reckon Reid and SJ will play, BJ is a maybe out and Jolly is out. Maxwell a cert. Wood to come in for Jolly, Goldsack probably the option taken in for Beams. Mick didn't miss him in the post match. Beams was shitful and needs to stew over a missed GF I reckon. Particularly when you have a guy like Goldsack who would give his left nut to play, can play defensive forward, wing or key back.
Didak should also be shown the door mate. OUT: Beams & :spudik: IN: Fasolo & Goldy Has given you nothing all year.
Whilst I would love Geelong to win by 90 points, I'd be more pleased to watch a close game. In that case, I hope that Geelong get up by 1 point. Cloke to kick the first goal. Ottens to win the Norm Smith. Beams is trade bait surely. Maybe Richmond or Melbourne would be interested? What if he was offering his left nut as part of the trade deal?
Beams won't be going anywhere. But needs to learn a very harsh lesson by being dumped this year. He dodged the bullet taken by Leon last year when it was a 50-50 decision. Since then a series of average finals, so unless he gets another free pass via injury, he would be extremely lucky to hold his spot. But as for him not being at Collingwood next year, no chance whatsoever. He will be there for the long haul as part of the next generation.
1st team to score = Collingwood 1st goal kicker = Christensen from Geelong 1st Quarter Winner = Geelong 16 points 2nd Quarter Winner - Collingwood by 7 points 3rd Quarter Winner = Geelong by 4 points End of the Match = Collingwood by 9 points There'll be a strong breeze which Collingwood will get in the last quarter to reel home the Victory. Winner = Collingwood Norm Smith = Christensen
If both teams keep their current form, I can't see Geelong losing. They've been emphatic. Having said that, luckily it's a final and it's all about whoever turns up on the day. The likes of Daisy, Swan, Pendles, Ball have to be on their a-game. If jpod and the tomahawk are quiet, it'll be all over. It may come down to whether podsiadly takes out his own or opposition players. My prediction is the Pies by 15.
Oops wrote Christensen for the Norm Smith, bit of a mistake, I should say that I think Christensen and Selwood wil be the best players for Geelong but personally I can see Dale Thomas winning the Norm Smith actually, his performances in last year's Grand Finals were fantastic.
Gabrielle and Sainter, if you need to edit a post in one of these forum threads, just hit the "EDIT" link. Saves having to make a double post. Cheers.
Id go further and say no real point in making new post in the threads either, cos we arent the spelling police on here and noone will pull you up on making a silly little mistake, most people would know what you meant anyway
