I miss Knightys tipping thread.

Loved that sucker, and given I've actually started off the year with a decent performance in the tipping, I'm actually caring about it.

So, who to pick, St. Kilda or the Dockers?

I'm aware of the ridiculous streak that the Saints hold in the matchup, but I'm also equally aware of the ridiculous streak that Lyon has in the match up.

What are our thoughts on the game?

 

I think the Saints will this match very easily. I can see them locking Freo down and I predict Freo won't kick more than 10 goals for the match. Hopefully NRoo kicks a bag of goals for my SC team.

 

Tips are 19 so far this year on my spreadsheet of all games ever played tipping which is still being tweaked. Hitting at 68% overall, would prefer at least 75% to be happy with it.

I also put down chances of winning out of 100, note that no input occurs on coaching changes, team selections or anything other than past form.

St Kilda 70%, Carlton 78%, Collingwood 96%, Adelaide 61%, Hawthorn 51%, Brisbane 65%, Geelong 96%, Sydney 74%, Dogs 68%

Obviously GWS/GC are still working their way to a rating that more befits their station - they both started at 100 and now are slowly seeping down.

Pies are as vulnerable a selection as 96% ever is with their outs this week.

 

Round 1, St. Kilda lost to Port, while Freo beat the premiers.

What has happened since then- Freo lost to Sydney after fading late and beat the Lions in the lowest scoring game of all time. (Though accurate kicking would have made it a 70 point win).

Meanwhile, the Saints have thumped the crap out of the Dogs and Suns - neither seem much competition this year though.

I see everyone everywhere picking the Saints, but I still don't think they've been that impressive this year.

 

Maybe I already have Just trying to gauge why my radar is so far removed from the general publics on this game.

 

I reckon it's the fact the Saints players are pretty dirty on Ross and will like a win to stick it up him.

Not according to the article in the Hun today- they were all at his wedding in November and stuff!

And based on that spreadsheet, the most likely of upsets would come from the Suns, who didn't do too badly there for a while last week, don't have to travel far and the Lions were far from inspiring against Freo.
