To kick off Grand Final week, here is the final POOYA Voting for the year. DO NOT VOTE UNTIL ALL REVIEWS ARE COMPLETE Round 1 - Trent West (BRI) [GIS] 100 In a poor first year for Gisborne, West was the shining light before getting injured. 100 in Round 1 against Hawthorn surpassed everyone's expectations, and he was awarded the POOYA Award. He went on to average 74.8 for the rest of the year, and played 10 games. West's score could do nothing to help the Grenades, as they struggled to a 680 point loss to the Goannas. Round 2 - Chris Yarran (CAR) [SCS] 108 Coming from the emergency list in Round 1 onto the field for Southern Cross, Yarran had a starring role in a 97 point Gropers win. 108 against Richmond was enough for him to win POOYA, especially after a low 69 points in Round 1. He went on to average 84.7 for the year and scored another 5 tons. Round 3 - Jeremy Howe (MEL) [PEP] 108 Quite possibly the most useful score of the year, Howe scored 108 for Round 3. A 1 point win for Pearcedale was definitely influenced by Howe's score, as Pearcedale someHOWE (teehee) managed to get over the line. Howe had scored 39 in both games early in the year, so the ton was a welcome surprise for the Panthers. He went on to average 89 for the rest of the year. Round 4 - James Frawley (MEL) [GRB] 131 The Barracuda's defence bulked up after last week's cracks started to appear with Frawley leading the way switching it up forward with 2 goals and 24 possessions was a shining star in a win against the Goannas. Frawley had scored a total of 166 points in the 3 games prior and then busted out with 131 in this game and earned himself 2 BOG award points as well. Round 5 - Ricky Petterd (RIC) [COO] 134 A huge 134 from ex-Demon Petterd stepped up the POOYA level another notch. Not scores above 77 previously in the year, Petterd almost doubled his average to that stage. Despite this, it wasn't enough to get the Prospectors over the line, as they went down by 4 points. Petterd averaged 90 for the whole year. Round 6 - James Aish (BRI) [EDN] 144 First year player Aish was scored two tons all year. This was his first and biggest, and 144 from a first year player is a very good effort. He averaged 70 in the whole season but prior to his nomination hadn't scored above 77. His 144 helped Eden to an easy win over eventual table-toppers Pakenham Round 7 - Tom Langdon (COL) [BLB] 128 [span style='font-size: 13px; color: #000000;]Tom Langdon's round 7 performance surprised everyone, a first year player in a team that was never going to go anywhere this year pulled out a massive score to help get the Bunyips over the line against the Armadillos. It ended up being a one sided affair, but for a young kid he really did POOYA for the away team. After posting his first round 111 the Bunyips were pretty stoked and thought they had found the next Chris Judd. The rest of his season was pretty lacklustre and ended up averaging only 71 points for the year. The Bunyips could still see the spark in Dusty's eye and was quickly rewarded with a 120 point effort in round 11. It was the 19 points needed to get over the line against the Bulls who surely must have thought they were home and hosed. The oldest man going around still has some spark left in those lanky legs and hopefully can pull his finger out (pun intented) and hit the park in 2015![span style='font-size: 13px; color: #000000;] Round 12 - Lynden Dunn (MEL) [KOR] 145 Two huge weeks for Dunn and Korumburra as he scored 145, then 149. An underrated player at times, Dunn had a solid 2014 for the Blowfly's. His 145 more than helped them over the line against eventual Grand Finalists King Island, and was his second last ton for the year. Its also no wonder he scored so highly - Melbourne were playing against Collingwood and lost by 33 points on Queen's Birthday Round 14 - Jack Billings (STK) [GIS] 132 The first year player for the Grenades was one of the few high-points in a dismal season. A huge 132 point game in Round 14 was enough for a POOYA nomination, and enough to help Gisborne to one of their first wins ever. He only scored 1 other ton throughout the year, but even more surprisingly played 16 games and did not have a free against! Round 15 - Jarrod Witts (COL) [CIS] 135 <p style='color: #000000; margin-bottom: 10px; background: #ffffff;]Witts' 135 is the young ruckman's career high, and one of only 3 100+ scores he's ever posted. The 135 more than doubled his average at that time of the season, easily accounted for Mummy in the Giant Tapand contributed to the Smugglers knocking off the top-of-the-table Prospectors to move into the top 4. Round 16 - Lachie Hansen (NM) [SCS] 134 [span style='color: #000000; background: #eeeeee;]Hansen top scored for the Gropers in round 16 with a score of 134 and beating the Panthers by 157 points. It was one of 8 tons scored by Southern Cross in their win over the weekend. Hansen's performance was close to double his season average of 76 and was only his second 100+ score for the year. Round 17 - Sam Reid (SYD) [STF] 139 [span style='color: #000000; background: #eeeeee;]Sam Reid managed his second ton 2 weeks in a row with a 139 and helped the Bulls down the Prospectors in round 17. His 2 weeks of form provided the Bulls' coaching staff with false hope with Sam going on to score 60, 64, 24, 17 and 86 over the remaining rounds of the AFL H&A season to keep his average at 62 for the year Round 18 - Jake Carlisle (ESS) [PAK] 188 [span style='color: #000000; background: #eeeeee;]Carlisle's 188 point performance helped the Parasites to a 55 point win over the Baracudas in round 18. Jake clunked 12 marks, picked up 19 disposals and kicked 8.2 in his team's win, one of only 2 games where he kicked more than 8 goals in a game. But from there it was only frustration, with scores of 53, 36 and 35 to finish off the season. Round 19 - Mike Pyke (SYD) [PAK] 134 [span style='color: #000000; background: #eeeeee;]Being handed the number 1 ruck mantle should've helped Pyke's scores out this year after his performance in 2013. However, the big Canadian couldn't replicate the form of yesteryear with only 3 tons for the year, one of them a 134 point game in round 19 to guide the Parasites to another win, this time over the Buffalos. Rounds 8, 9, 10, 13, 20 - Unawarded Thanks to all who have helped out (especially fresh) <div>[span style='color: #888888; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: 20.0200004577637px; white-space: pre-wrap; background-color: #eeeeee;]
I thought that the coaches of the nominated players would have wanted to do the write ups for their own but if that's not a requirement then I'm more than happy to help out.

No biggy but just realised I made a dislexic mistake in Carlisle's blurb. It should say '...one of only 2 games where he kicked more than[span style='text-decoration: underline; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;]2goals in a game.'
ooooh i wont give spoilers for those who havent voted but looks like a runaway leader. Surprised me that the bloke i voted for hadnt got any love. 7 people yet to vote i think.

Rumour has it that ASADA are keen to test the contents of it. I wouldn't have thought POOYA would increase your value, maybe just the gap between your best & worst!

Rumour has it that ASADA are keen to test the contents of it. I wouldn't have thought POOYA would increase your value, maybe just the gap between your best & worst! Unfortunately no. After it was removed from the trade table it disappeared for a little while. Sniffer dogs were called in to search the room and only the crusts were ever found. As a reward for their efforts, the dogs got to eat the crusts.
