Would normally be a no-brainer but given Hornsy's long and illustrious history it feels worth a straw poll at a minimum as we have nothing from him, other than a long AWOL status.

So simple Yes or No poll.

Can discuss options once we have a result here either way.
FL coaches only please, will run for 7 days, can change vote, can't view who voted which way.

The Savages need a coach who is committed to ORFFL. My preference is for an interested Hornsy. That might not be feasible, but we should show due respect to the scoundrel, and his history with the League. Possibly the only person apart from Hornsy who can tell us whether he is still interested is @ChiefRussell - who I understand is his brother. Chief, it would be very helpful, if you can, what Hornsy's current thoughts are; if you cannot (or don't want to) communicate with him a reply of "no idea" would be helpful

My understanding is that essentially the Hornswaggler and Walesy built this site together and that outer regional fantasy was probably Hornsy's idea. He once told me he no longer had any interest in Super Coach and stopped playing. This could perhaps have happened with ORFFL as well.

TiB vs Hornsy was good fun until somebody took it seriously.

Sadly it seems it is time.... but hopefully whatever has kept him away isn't permanent

Unfortunately I haven't been here long enough to give an honest appraisal, that said I'm right into it so feel someone should be guiding the ship, I would try to find someone who wants to be here. If you've tried everything reasonably contact him with no results then its probably time. Perhaps under the proviso if he returns with a good reason he can have a right of return, life can throw a few curveballs.

Are we going to open up the franchise for expressions of external interest?

Can we get a committee of 2 to decide on the nominations?

if @JoshyC is interested in joining the league to take over the savages I say welcome aboard. I haven't heard anyone else express an interest and handing him control of the squad gets another engaged team

I would second that emotion @EddieV. Thought @JoshyC was already a coach in ORFFL.

Well I guess that makes two. No objections? Good.

@Len may have to enter the team for this round until such time as @walesy adds you as the new owner.

    Oh, and welcome.

welcome @JoshyC you have the winningest ORFF franchise to date. I guess all the jars won will get transferred to your ownership syndicate. look forward to the franchise rising through the ranks again.

@JoshyC you should now have the keys to the ship that to this point has been rudderless all season...

It is a penal colony. He will need bloodhounds to find his players in that bush.
