With the season starting in less than 10 days, regular commenter, Jason has taken the time to put together a list of everyone who as received a discount this year. Might be worth it to double check the list to see if you cant spot a little value that might have been overlooked now that the NAB is just about said and done.

<p style="text-align:justify">There are 56 players listed for SuperCoach in 2012 that have been given discounts on their starting price, up from 51 players 2011. Again, the discounts on offer range from 50% down to 10% and the players come from all positions on the ground. Also like last year, only players with less than 8 games from the previous year have been eligible for a starting price discount.

<p style="text-align:justify">Discounts do not necessarily go hand-in-hand with a player having been injured in 2011. There are some players who were clearly injured during some of 2011 but unfortunately didn’t miss enough games to attract a discount. And there are some players who just managed to debut quite late in season 2011 who have (somewhat arbitrarily) been given discounts on their starting price.

<p style="text-align:justify">The 10 players who have received the biggest percentage discounts in 2012 (either 50% or 40%) have actually been given a discount on their 2010 average, rather than on their 2011 average.

<p style="text-align:justify">Whilst some of the savings are modest, these guys are definitely worth a closer look. They only have to make it onto the park and perform at the same level as 2011 (or 2010 in some cases) and you will already be making money.

For many of the discounted players in the list above, their previous average may have been ‘artificially’ reduced by a low score during a game in which they went down with an injury.
