When I was in Coolgardie coaching I came up with an idea for an award: The Lucky Find Award for the best player in a draft, I'm already doing one for the PSD and I'll do one for MSD if there are enough players drafted. It will be a 5-4-3-2-1 by total points award for total round and only if the players play(ed). In the event of a tie win > loss, def/fwd > ruck > mid > IC > E-list. Low av > High av

Nice stuff Holky. Are you deciding how much a player is weighted, or do you have some rough formula?

Base round scores then in the event of a tie win beats loss, if still tied: position, if still tied: average. I was thinking of adding weighting for low-end drafts but decided not to this year as it was somewhat of a top-up draft. Next year I might add weightings though but this year it's base score. Also, a player only scores if he plays. Trent West officially came 9th but snuck in a vote because players who scored higher weren't selected :)

Close but no, it's players from draft 2. I've got rounds 5-7 but I'll post them tomorrow :)

Out at Coolgardie we feel a little bit ripped off that star MSD recruit Cameron Pedersen scored 106 points (more than Podsiadly's 104 points), yet he didn't even get a nomination. While we appreciate the fine work of a rival coach, we think he's also had one too many scotch and cokes, which caused him to undertake this clear snubbing of one of our players (or else he's still bitter at losing the inaugural Scotch 'n' Coke 'n' Stein!)

I was just getting to Pedersen... he's ineligible for this competition because it is for the Pre-Season Draft.
