Fair to say a lot of teams will be fielding Ablett and Pendles at M1 & M2 as well as Beams at M4. Which leaves the M3 spot up for grabs. Given Gaz, Pendles and Beams all have the same bye and considering allocation of funds the M3 selections for me (and I'd bet a lot of others) come down to a choice between JPK, Fyfe, Boak, Liber, Rockliffe, Barlow, Jack and Watson. All great choices, but am interested in peoples preferred option.

Jobe is my bet for best scores..... but for some reason I'm still a little wary of the whole ASADA thing Think I'll be going libba

Great post 82, I too have been tossing up the M3 spot. For me it comes down to 3 guys Barlow - Pros: Mr Consistent, often scores you a 100. Won't normally get tagged with Fyfe and Mundy in the midfield with him. Cons: Doesn't have the highest ceiling
Rockliff Pros: In his prime, huge NAB scores and a proven performer. Cons: Plays for a team that may get smashed. With no Black he may get tagged more, even though taggers seems to go to Hanley or Rich more. Libba Pros: Clearance machine, massive jump in scoring last year, in a team getting better who shouldn't get too belted this year. Griffen should get tagged ahead of him. Cons: 21 years of age - can he keep his numbers up? Can anyone help me decide!? Currently Rockliff is in by a nose.

Great question. :) I have decided to go without Pendles up until the byes and hopefully have enough cash to bring him in at R9 (with the early bye round we really need at least a couple of rookies to jump out of the box with some very good scores.....). I have two of your candidates for M3 as my M2 and M3 to go along with Gaz and Beams: Libba and Fyfe. My view is that Libba is just a gun and improving fast. Fyfe is a bit more speculative, due to his durability issues but he has a big upside and is also a gun, but may end up going down the path of Jack or Barlow instead. God only knows what is going to happen at Essendon, I like Watson, but......... YMMV, M2 cents, Bill

Good question. Personally I don't think Fyfe quite averages enough. He's an absolute gun and good bet for the Brownlow but I'm not considering him. Boak I put in the same boat (minus Brownlow fancy). JPK was down last year so makes me nervous to pick him this year but he could be a top 6 mid. That leaves Libba, Jack, Watson and Rockliff. I had Watson but the ASADA stuff worries me and it suited my team to steal some cash off him using this reason to make the call. As such I have gone Libba. Expecting at least a 5 point bump on last year. If money and drug issues were no factor I'd choose, in order, Watson, Libba, Rockliff, Jack. Although to be honest, you could make good reasons for choosing any of them.
