His estimated price rise is 80,000. Do I burn a trade and get him in, or leave Dickson/D.Smith on the field/bench. Should I get him in, and if so who for?
Get him in if you can, but not at any cost, I certainly wouldn't be trading out Dickson though, Dickson's gonna belt out tonnes IMO.
Kerridge to milera for me. Not sure i would go dickson to milera however, his js is fairly good and will be a slow burner.
The point, Fitzy, is that some rookies burning slower than others spreads your trades and affords you greater flexibility. If they all fell fat in the same round, you can only trade two at a time (3 during byes). Also, the choices of downgrades may have far less JS than your incumbents, thus spreading the fattening still gives you some active benches for added security. By way of example, I have Ledger and it is very tempting to turn him into Greene, however, because I can see I have sufficient cash flow and don't mind the odd slow burner (Ledger), I have decided it is best to save a trade.
Slow burners not as good as a quick moo'er sure but i think the question is it worth burning a trade to get the extra cash a couple of rounds quicker, for mine it depends on how many quick moo'ing rookies you have. if u'v got a good mix of cows that are quick and slow i'd propably hold on trading into Milera (presuming both rookies will reach a similar ceiling at some point in the season), as you can simply trade out other quicker cows come round 6-8, and the slow burners can be RD 8-9 trades, and saves the trade
Saad getting suspended probably helps Milera's job security. Schneider is still a threat though. But who will get dropped first, Ledger or Milera? Surely they can't co-exist once Schneider and Gram come back.
Id rather someone who gets there quick, the quicker the upgrades the better, at least if you have someone who is burning quicker because they are scoring more points, there scoring more points for you! Making you more money, the 2 main goals in supercoach. The quicker the upgrades the better. If you have them all hit peak at the same time, who cares, there all ready. as @22nd_best_-on_Field said, Slow burners are not as good as a quick moo-er. We all have our own tactics/opinions, I guess we will see which way we should have gone in the end
I wouldnt baulk at even downgrading a disappointing premium to Milera, have you got any who're looking at a 40k or more price drop this week?
AA, Dickson won't continue to only get quarter games, aside from him being the best forward rookie in preseason, based on TOG, his 36 or so points last round was scored in less than a quarter of footy, expect him to get a regular gig from now & expect 80+ averages from him, & yes, with a few tonnes thrown in.

He could also be a purely impact player from now on who comes on at the start of the last quarter to provide some fresh legs.
AA, I'd be gutted if that turns out to be so, I rate Dickson better than Milera long term & reckon he's proven himself enough to avoid the vest.
