<p style='margin-top: 0.49cm; margin-bottom: 0.49cm;]Nat Fyfe hasrightfully put himself in contention for the 2015 Brownlow Medal after an incredible start to the new AFL season. However, Hawthorn veteran Sam Mitchell has made an increasingly strong case to suggest this year's Brownlow Medal might be more than just a one horse race. Despite being in his 14th season as a professional, Mitchell has burst out of the blocks this year, racking up a fabulous fantasy average of over100 points a gameand playing a key role in Hawthorn's encouraging start to the season. The 32-year-old will need to keep up his level of performance if he's going to be able to keep in touch with Fyfe, though, with the youngster continuing to significantly repay those Fantasy coaches who selected the midfielder at the start of the 2015 campaign.

<p style='margin-top: 0.49cm; margin-bottom: 0.49cm;]Fyfe has stolen the headlines this season and even surprised those who tipped the Fremantle Dockerto be the real star of the show this year. There are a number of reasons the Dockers are currently topping theAFL ladder, but their intimidating midfield is probably the main factor behind the club putting themselves in the driving seat after the opening ten games of the campaign. While there are some top players in the middle of the park for Fremantle, Fyfe's the one who has been the most eye-catching, racking up a phenomenal 110 Fantasy point averagein a start to the year that has given us an indication of how this season will go. Averaging over 32disposals a game and with 10 goals to his name, Fyfehas been almost unplayable at times this season, proving once and for all that he is one of the most exciting youngsters in the league.

<p style='margin-top: 0.49cm; margin-bottom: 0.49cm;]But despite a brilliant start to the season that has seen Fyferace to the top of the Brownlow betting odds, it wouldn't be wise to rule out the evergreen Mitchell. The Hawthorn stalwart currently boasts a disposal average of 28.9 per game, with a tackle average of 5.2 per game, and Mitchell is now in-line to record the third most productive season of his illustriouscareer. His 36 disposals against Gold Coast was the fifth successive game in which he has registered 30 or more disposals this season, the third time in his time at Hawthorn he has achieved that feat. Mitchell is no stranger to Brownlowcontention, having recorded more than 20 votes three times over the past eight years, reaching 30 in a 2011 campaign in which he amassed a sensational 112 Fantasy point average.
<p style='margin-top: 0.49cm; margin-bottom: 0.49cm;]Having missed out in the Brownlow running in2011 after finishing behind Collingwood's Dane Swan, Mitchell was again unfortunate in 2012 andfinished runner-up to Jobe Watson in the voting. While there is a strong chance the veteran might fall short again this year, the very fact the Hawks man is still able to match the likes of Fyfeafter 14 gruelling seasons in the AFL is testament to the sort of player Mitchell has been. Even if he does miss out, the Hawthorn man is still one of the most productive Fantasy picks this season and a player a lot of coaches will be pleased to have on their Fantasy rosters.
Mitchell ready to reclaim limelight from Fyfe
