Based in the lovely Mole Creek, Tasmania. The mighty Glow worms look forward to a strong start to the inauguralORFFF season!

Feeling the need for a bad joke to fit in, we can say that whilst the players are glow worms, they aren't very bright! (yuck) </div>
If they'not so bright, then the match between the Glow Worms and The Chumps will be interesting .................

The Mole Creek GLOW WORMS were established in 2015 with the promise of bringing bold, fresh, community-focused football to the people of the Tasmanian North East, a community we share a deep connection with.

We exist because one bloke wanted an ORFFF club and posted on a blog.

This, combined with the development of our home ground THE WORM FARM and an average contribution to the local economy of some $38 per week over the last five months in coffee, means we’re not only part of the future of this great game but also an integral part of the Northern Tasmanian story.

We’ve worked hard to create a club based on community and a strong culture and we are now focused on building a high performing and successful club that is as bold, fearless and as committed on the field as it is off.

We are building a club that is sustainable and respected by all for its drive, professionalism, its culture and its commitment to both the game and the community that has supported the club.

    Preseason Training Report:

Well it's been a phenomenal start to the Mole Creek preseason, with the first full session at the Worm Farm being cut short by bush fires followed by torrential rains.

So far it has been a slow start for Christian Petracca who broke his toe spelunking, joining him in the medical rooms is Trent West who seems to still be suffering from his chronic lack of ability. Stefan Martin is scheduled to start preseason training later this week, now that the club has removed all the mirrors from the change room.

Flying so far is Gary Ablett who is putting the disappointment of missing out on the captaincy into his training. Training at full tilt with the young midfield brigade of Miles, Smith, Heeney and Glow Worms inaugural captain Patrick Cripps who has had a growth spurt during the preseason after a run in with some nuclear waste he mistook for the club mascot. He looks to use his newfound height and extra leg to continue to improve his clearance work.

We are sitting at a club record 47 memberships at this stage and are looking forward to more coming on board for an exciting first year!!

finals matches don't count in the B & F - I have never played AFL but I thought it was fairly standard to count them (and arguably they should be weighted twice as much) ??

    4 matches * 5 votes * triple points = 60 votes suggests otherwise ?

and have GAJ's lawyers been in touch to dispute the result yet ??

Well the journey is over for the Glow Worms, after a surprisingly successful first season making finals despite the leagues second worst points for tally (the recruitment team will be quite disappointed picking in the middle of the first round at the PSD though). Great strides have been made across the list with most players improving throughout the season. The 5 remaining mandatory de-listings will be incredibly tough, after Ivan Maric was confirmed as a departure by 'mutual consent'.

Special note to Inaugural captain Patrick Cripps winning the B&F and the Player of the finals. And to Brodie Smith who led the club in TOG by 2 minutes over Cripps.

    Gary Ablett Jnr. Medal

    Patrick Cripps

    Leading Goal Kicker

    Jamie Cripps (23)

    Young Player of the Year

You received pick 54 in the Miller deal and used it to draft Ridley.

Miller plus 85 for Ridley, Hooker and 33 doesn’t seem too bad. You on traded 33 so hard to track the exact outcome.

It was more the fact that I held Miller for sooooo long, and then chose Fiorini over him and he never tagged again after I let him go!
