    Round 17 B&F

    5 - Jamie Cripps (8)
    4 - Mitch Wallis (4)
    2.5- Craig Bird (3.5)
    2.5- Patrick Cripps (34.5)
    1 - Anthony Miles (21)

A performance that the team will take a lot from this week, good performances across the board, with 9 players scoring 80 or more.

finals matches don't count in the B & F - I have never played AFL but I thought it was fairly standard to count them (and arguably they should be weighted twice as much) ??

Im going to do a best finals player award for my guys. Especially considering I could do triple points and it wouldn't change the winner of the B and F!

    4 matches * 5 votes * triple points = 60 votes suggests otherwise ?

and have GAJ's lawyers been in touch to dispute the result yet ??

Haha, four matches! I appreciate the faith you have in my team going to the GF this year!

I personally like the clean split from regular season to finals, want to reward consistency from a player all season, just my personal choice though, unless there is a league ruling?

Gary was quite happy to move on from the club and understood that the b&f can only be awarded to a actively listed player. He was soothed by the whispers around that the medal may be named after our first ever player. Thinks about his legacy quite a bit.

Well the journey is over for the Glow Worms, after a surprisingly successful first season making finals despite the leagues second worst points for tally (the recruitment team will be quite disappointed picking in the middle of the first round at the PSD though). Great strides have been made across the list with most players improving throughout the season. The 5 remaining mandatory de-listings will be incredibly tough, after Ivan Maric was confirmed as a departure by 'mutual consent'.

Special note to Inaugural captain Patrick Cripps winning the B&F and the Player of the finals. And to Brodie Smith who led the club in TOG by 2 minutes over Cripps.

    Round 1 2017 Review

Mole Creek lit up the training track all summer, integrating it's new players and looking good for a strong start to their second season. Unfortunately a spate of illness and injury limited availability for round 1 and they limped to the clubs worst ever score in a round one loss. Despite Jack Graham breaking his leg this week, the club Hopes some players will return in round two although the team faces one of the competition heavy weights in what looks to be a tough week.

    Round 1 B&F Votes
    5 - Touk Miller (117)
    4 - Billy Stretch (96)
    3 - Christian Petracca (95)
    2 - Brodie Smith (85)
    0.5 - O.McDonald (80)
    0.5 - J. Cripps (80)

A much improved performance this week, although not enough against the table topping Mt.Thirsty. But positive signs from a very even team performance.

    4 - Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti (4)
    3 - Sam Gray (3)
    1.5 - Majak DAW (1.5)

A strong training session this week will see a few players put their hand up for selection after a 0-2 start for Mole Creek. Anthony Miles, Dean Kent, Brayden Fiorini, Aaron Francis, Corey Ellis and early draft pick Hugh McCluggage are all yet to play a game this season and are knocking on the door of selection.

    Injury list -
Patrick Cripps - Fractured jaw - Test
Dan Currie - Knee - Test
Kieran Lovell - Shoulder - Late Season
    Isaac Heeney - Glandular - 2-3 weeks
Jack Graham - Leg - Late Season

Mole Creek fell just short this week, With Daw a late out and a couple of missed bench scores Port Lincoln took the W by 69 points. Very positive signs though and look forward to a big week on the track this week.

In a week of strong scores across the comp, Mole Creek lost to Maralinga by 126, with the lack of a ruckman again causing problems for the glow worms. A very even spread of player scores this week with no one player really stepping up to push the team to victory.

    Round 4 B&F Votes

In the bottom of the ladder clash this week, Mole Creek had a disappointing loss. In the end the loss by 52 points made all the worse by bench choice Bailey Williams scoring 94 whilst Corey Ellis on field scored 23. Mole Creek's lack of a recognised ruckman also hurting with Charlie Curnow trying his best the last couple of rounds.

Looking forward there are high hopes for a debut for Harry Perryman, who has been shredding up the reserves and looks a chance.

    4 - Isaac Heeney
    3 - Patrick Cripps
    2 - Bailey Williams

    Round 10 Preview

A well earned rest for most of the squad has left them fresh for a tilt at win number one this week. Captain Cripps and Isaac Heeney return from state rep duties looking refreshed after both cruising around during the game. The only confirmed absences will be Jack Graham, Kieran Lovell, Curtly Hampton and James Aish goes out after fracturing a cheek bone playing frisbee with his dog.

Brodie Smith is also under a cloud this week and needs to train strongly to play. In positive news Perryman looks to have done enough to keep his spot whilst Matthew Scharenberg has been ripping up the twos and looks a real chance to come in.

Round 12 was an up and down one for the Glow Worms. Whilst there were some promising signs from some of the kids we lost our captain Patrick Cripps for the remainder of the season. Hopefully he can get his body right and prepare for a full preseason.

    5 - Charlie Curnow
    4 - Sam Petrevski-Seton
    3 - Isaac Heeney
