Damn it this is in the donor section again.. Walsey can you change it at all??? Yep Saints & Bombers yet again..We play them round 3 aswell... Complete joke. The AFL changed it, all week it had been reported that Saints/Cats would play Gold/West Coast
I'm actually surprised we haven't played in tassie yet. At least Launceston/Geelong has a good ground, what's the one at Shepperton like?
Pies played hawks there a few years back got close to 10k and ground is pretty much suburban but decent surface
I played at the Shepp ground about 10 years ago. haha. was alright for us back then lol. In all seriousness - it is a good ground . they look after it really well. And holds a decent crowd - as Fez pointed out. Kangaroos should get their first win for the year on Saturday!
Hope non Pie fans are happy with the travel and Fox sports coverage. Should be interesting to see the Pies travel without being full strength. If it's hot, I actually back an Eagles upset.
yeah the only reason they changed it from saints/cats vs one of the coasts was to accomodate how much the teams had to travel in the proper season to make it fairer on the teams
What makes you say they won't be full strength, Lucas? Have the teams been announced already!? The Pies have fielded relatively strong teams over the past two matches, are they likely to spare the senior blokes the dreaded Perth trip? As much as I'd love to, I wouldn't back the Eagles at full strength even against a VFL side. They almost blew it against the reserves team we sent over to Perth a few weeks back, and while they won last night, they certainly didn't blow away a Gold Coast team that was missing most of it's senior players, as well as a handful of decent kids. I wonder what the odds are of them doing a '10 spoon, '11 nab premiers, '11 spoon trifecta?
Heh, pity I'm not here this weekend. I'd have gone to the match and given you guys a report (as best as I could do). Oh and so there's someone there to support the Doggies against those useless W-anchor men.
