Franklin has brought himself right back onto the fantasy radar, Dangerfield looks potent, while rookies Goodes, Kane Mitchell and Vlastuin all make strong cases for selection.
Let's check out the games as they played out.
Western vs Hawthorn
Result: Western by 1.
The Bulldogs were 14 points down, half way through the final quarter, but as is the way with the NAB, two goals were enough to make up the different. A regular kind to DAHLHAUS and a super goal to Smith saw them sneak over the line by a single behind.
Griffen, on just 17 touches managed to top score for the dogs with 99DT Points, which was certainly helped with 2 goals, 7 marks and 6 tackles, while Boyd was just 1 point behind on 98DT, but suffered a little from leather poisoning with 31 touches. Ten more than anyone else on the field.
Goodes again impress, and is surely in every squad with his 12 touches and 70DT. Should only scale upwards in SC as well, considering the 91% Disposal efficiency on hand.
Bit of a problem for the rookie, Stringer, who was subbed on in the third quarter, kicked a goal with his first, and only touch, before being subbed back off with an ankle issue. Looks like he'll be out for a month and probably comes into equations as just a downgrade option now.
Franklin tried his darnest to pull the Hawks over the line with 17 touches, 4 goals, 99DT points and a form line that is screaming to fantasy coaches- Forget about the price, just pick me!!
Not too many other stories to come from Hawthorn, with Suckling suckling, Roughead having a roughone and Birchall being MIA...all.

Geelong vs Adelaide
Result: Geelong by 63.
Double the points, double the goals and double the Supergoals is how it went down at Simonds Stadium this weekend. It was a massive performance by the Cats who went into the first break 6 goals up, pushing it higher at the end of the third with a 4 goal streak.
Kelly and Taylor were both very good, picking up 124DT points each, but personally, I wouldn't be too swayed- Taylor in particular is appealing at this price, but historically, he does have a habit of putting out the odd big game.
Bartel was fantastic, with 28 touches and 2 goals for 114DT, and looms an interesting selection with his newly aquired DPP status.
Big news comes from the ruck division though. Blicavs put in a ripper of a game, holding his own against Jacobs and securing 8 disposals, 14 hitouts and 67DT points off just 68% time on ground.
The only bad thing to come from the game was the injury column, all too often do you see the name Chapman sitting there, and after 5 touches and a goal, found himself subbed off with what looks another soft tissue injury. He dominates, but certainly, his risk profile is just too high this year.
On the Crows side, Dangerfield was massive. With 31 disposals and 3 goals to his name, managed 124DT points in a team that was smashed.
Luke Brown put in a decent performance, with 14 touches and 67DT points. Certianly looming as good value if he can continue that form, while WRIGHT was decent with 19 touches and 61DT in 70% Game time.
Rookie, Kerridge did well, 11 touches and 52DT isn't too shabby for a rookie forward, while Crouch should find himself cruising under the radar a little, picking up 10 disposals and 34DT in under half a game. That said, he will surely be a sub risk in the season proper.
Heroes: Kelly, Taylor, Bartel
Villians: Chapman

Gold Coast vs North Melbourne
Result: North by 13.
It was nearly a massive upset, with North Melbourne leading the game by just under 10 goals, as the Gold Coast closed the gap by 7 goals over the final term. Just not enough time for them.
In a low scoring game, SWALLOW top scored with 20 touches and just 76DT points, while BENNELL managed 19 touches of his own for 64DT and Broughton a 57DT off 15 touches. The most important thing there though, is that the majority of those touches were uncontested ones, in the backline. The exact role we want to see Broughton playing if we're going to select him.
Ablett was well down on his usual performances, with 13 touches and just 43DT, but hey- it's the preseason. It happens. Meanwhile, O'Meara did alright with 12 touches and 42DT.
One player who's bound to slip under the radar is MATERA . He's been injured this preseason, and was worked back into this game with just half a game, though managed 10 touches, 3 behinds and 40DT. Imagine that score played out over a full game. With better accuracy. Could have cracked the ton in a horrid scoring game.
Over at the Roos, Gibson cleaned up with 23 touches and 75DT points.
What was fantastic to see, was the concurrent usage of Currie and Goldstein - surely a credit to the former who managed 20 hitouts for the game, to the latters 16, but again it is the preseason. One good sign for Currie was his performance up forward. I'd always imagined that it would be a Goldi OR Currie proposal for the Roos, but his 2 goal performance was certainly decent.

Essendon vs Richmond
Result: Richmond by 8.
It seemed all Richmond for most of the first half, though 3 quickfire goals saw the Bombers take the lead leading into the major change. The third quarter was a battle, with neither side giving up too much, with the final term seemed one of two halves. The first half, the momentum was with the Bombers, but the Tigers didn't lay down, and despite peppering the goals with close to a million behinds, Petterd did finally manage to slot the winning goal, close to the final minute. So remember that when you see his inflated SC scores come through.
Despite the fact that it will be inflated, it wasn't a bad game at all for Petterd with 13 touches and 53DT. It went to Rance though to top the board for the Tigers with 23 disposals and 103DT from the backline. Grigg and Tuck were both prominant with 83DT and 82DT respectively, while Stephenson did a damn fine jobe in Maric's absence, picking up 14 touches and 19 hitouts.
Vlastuin will certainly be on more watchlists after this weekend. 71% gametime and 57DT points in an extremely attacking role that saw 8 of his 15 disposals penetrating the forward 50.
For the Bombers, Stanton did what he does early season. 21 touches and 108DT to top score for the game. Remember though, if you like Stanton, get on board early cause he starts with a BANG. Heck, I'm thinking of getting onboard with the plan to bail ship around the byes. Obviously, still a work in process. Meanwhile, Baguley was all over the backline, with 23 touches and 107DT.
Goddard still looks great in the red and black and I reckon you'd be silly to leave him out, while HIBBERD did some good things, with 18 touches for 82DT at a 90.9% disposal efficiency.
Kommer went alright, but played in the forward pocket without a whole heap of scoreboard pressure applied, but it's Kavangh who will go under the radar, 6 touches at 100% disposal efficiency got the boy 38DT points in just 37% Game time. Will be a massive pick if he can avoid the sub vest- but I've a bad feeling that he'll be copping it.
Heroes: Rance, Stanton, Baguley
Villians: Newman

GWS vs Brisbane
Result: Brisbane by 3.
In a seesawing battle, it was Cornelius who managed to snag the winner in the dying minues of the match. So remember that when you see his SC scores.
Still, even without that loading, it was a massive game for Cornelius, who put on 13 touches, 5 goals, 4 behinds and 94DT in a truely dominant forward performance.
Zorko looked very good out there, with 17 disposals and 90DT, while mid-priced forward option, KARNEZIS has once against impressed throught the middle, and the leading possession getter with 26 touches, at 80.8% disposal efficiency, 80DT points and a massive chance to line up in my team when the season starts.
Rockliff played just half a game and made 53DT, so if you fretted when you saw his score- fear not, he's as big a lock as ever.
Docherty was better, with 15 touches and 43DT, but I'd be starting to worry if he's on your field. That said, his 93% disposal efficiency should help him out in SC.
Paparone managed just 4 touches for the game, while Moloney will worry a few, with 10 touches and 27DT- though it was only from half a game.
Over on the Giants side, Treloar did very nicely with 21 tocuhes and 90DT, but it's the Sandilands pick in Whitfield which people will take notice of. 17 touches and 89DT in a very solid performance, though his 52.9% DE will certainly count against him in SC.
Ward looked good for his first game back with 20 tocuhes and 85DT while Greene backed up last weeks efforts with 19 touches and 83DT in just 63% game time.

Carlton vs Fremantle
Result: Carlton by 70.
The word Absolute Slaughter get thrown around a lot these days, but never were they more fitting than here. Carlton where a well oiled machine in the first half, pretty much scoring at will and heading into half time 11 goals up.
Robinson led the way for the Blues, with 26 disposals and 99DT, while Gibbs will have a lot of people locking him in on his performance. He got the ball everywhere, with 22 touches and 87DT. You'll be a brave coach to leave him out.
Murphy was strong with 21 touches and 81DT while Kruezer did most of the ruckwork, with 12 touches and 22 hitouts.
That said, Warnock only played 36% of the game, so that figure could be inflated.
Duffield was pretty big for the Dockers, picking up 21 touches and 113DT, while Mundy looked pretty good, collecting 18 disposals and 85DT.
Danyle Pearce found himself forward a bit, but could only convert 2 behinds to score 66DT off 17 touches, while FYFE was down on his usual form with just 10 touches for a 41DT.
Heroes: Duffield, Robinson

Port Adelaide vs Melbourne
Result: Melbourne by 2.
While it looked like Melbourne were going to run away with it in the final term, Port did a great job, pulling it back to just 2 points at the death.
Now, there are a good 8 players at Port who are high on my watchlist this year, and I'd be damned if all of them (with the exception of Pittard who didn't play) impressed.
Kane Mitchell was again great. Ran all day long, picked up 26 touches and 100DT. Hartlett did exactly what I'd want, with 23 touches and 98DT, while Colquhoun picked up 19 touches and 78DT.
Rookie, Wines impressed, with 21 touches and 76 DT, while forward rookie option, Neade did well with 8 touches and 53DT- with a couple shots on goal that missed.
Port's back six is a big question with year, with both Stevenson and Heath competing for spots back there, and they both did decent. The former with 20 touches and 64DT, while the latter managed 63DT off 15 disposals and 6 marks.
Sellar had a massive game for Melbourne kicking 5.1 with 15 disposals and 101DT. Defensive rookie, Terlich looked better this game with 16 touches and 5 tackles for a 58DT, while Kent got 10 touches and kick 2.1 for a 56DT.
No Viney and no Toumpas was pretty sad, but there's still 2 more weeks of NABby goodness.

St. Kilda vs Sydney
Result: St. Kilda by 23.
Well, it was another pre-season loss to the reigning premiers, which, if you've followed their usual pre-seasons, isn't too much of a suprise. Not to take anything away from the Saints though, who's final quarter was very strong.
Montagna found himself with the pill 28 times for a very tidy 120, which could prove value after a down year last year. SIPOSS, the Saint who is being most hyped right now went alright, but not great, picking up 12 touches and 45DT points. They were pretty decent touches though, going for a 91.7% efficiency.
Bolton led the way for the Swans, with 27 disposals and 111DT points. He topped the DT score, but it was Hannebery who led the disposals with 30 of them for a 104DT.
PARKER got himself a full game, with 20 disposals and 69DT, so keep him on your watchlists as a mid priced option.
Rookie, Rampe got a bunch of it, with 18 touches and 61DT, while Towers was less proficient with just 9 disposals and 29DT.

West Coast vs Collingwood
Result: Collingwood by 20.
It was a battle of two of the heavy weights of the competitions, and I gotta say, it didn't disappoint with Collingwood finally pulling away half way through the final term.
Sidebottom led the way, with 20 disposals, 2 goals and 109DT, while Pendlebury was there abouts with 28 of his own touches and 99DT.
Shaw, as always, was the go-to guy out of defence, and managed 26 disposals with 91DT. I just wish I could say the he'd play 22 games this season. He'd be locked in if that was the case.
Martin played half a game, and looked solid, picking up 11 disposals and 43DT points.
Over on West Coast's side, Masten and Scott Selwood we both very good, with 113DT and 111DT respectively. I reckon one of these two (possibly both) will lifting their averages a solid margin this year, so keep a close eye on them.
LeCras looked potent up forward, with 12 touches and 4 goals for a 76DT, but possibly worrying was that he only scored a 76 with 4 goals in there.
Mid priced option, Josh Kennedy picked up 8 touches and 50DT, while Embley was subbed off injured with just 2 touches and 6DT. They reckon he'll make it back for round one, but really, his risk profile just went right up.
Heroes: Sidebottom, Masten, Selwood
