Yep, two reviews in one, just to mess with Terrys head. Well, that and a complete lack of time over this weekend.

It looks like the Gold Coast have had a pretty good welcome to the league. I reckon Swallow, Harris, Toy, Coad and Matera will be in just about every squad now.

That said, I still havent watched the games- Ill try to watch them later tonight.

Then Ill get my footnotes for each game up.

- So, there wasnt too much to take out of the games for the Lions, what I can say though is that Jared Polec looked solid against the Bombers, being one of the only Lions to stand up. Only collected two touches against the Saints, but with the Lions midfield in such disarray, Voss surely has to play the kid as much as possible.
- Rohan Bewick, mature aged runner from the WAFL who came to the Lions as part of the Brennan trade, looked pretty good tonight, got a little bit of the ball, but his disposal certainly let him down a bit. Still- Brisbane have some big holes to fill and Bewick averaged 20 touches in the WAFL last year.
- Banfield and Rich both looked good in the Saints game.
- Out of all the Lions though, Tom Rockliff performed the most consistantly across both games- though priced at $400k as a MID only, I dont see much value.
- Sam Sheldon looked good against the Bombers, however he sat out as a sub in the second game, so his score above isnt quite reflective.
- Rookie priced Broc McCauley, Mitchell Golby, Claye Beams, Patrick Karnezis and Joshua Green all showed some, but certainly didnt set the world on fire.

- Ryan Gamble looked pretty good, snagging some late goals against the Lions annd a couple against the Bombers. That said, No Roo, Gilbert or Kosi means that hes still probably going to be a good depth player for the Saints.
- Leigh Montagna was everywhere. Certainly look good as a premium selection.
- Goddard should be in every team. Looks as good as ever.
- Tom Simpkin caught my eye, I was suprise to see that he only had 5 touches over the two games. Thought he looked alright.
- Overall though, it was tough to take anything out of these games with the Saints.

- Dyson Heppell looked fantastic with 9 touches- though to be fair, it was against the Lions, so perhaps temper your expectations. That said, hell definitely play next week.
- The other name on everyones list was Michael Hibberd, who was playing a role on Milne. Although Milne kicked two, he was held to just 4 touches, so I reckon he did alright. His first contest was spectacular.
- David Zaharakis was great against the Lions with 8 touches and 2 goals. Looked very composed.
- Stewart Crameri kicked 5 goals over both games. Sure, the ball fell into his hands in the right place at the right time occationally- but when was the last time a Bomber kicked 5 goals! Certainly making the most of his chances.
- Alex Browne was an interesting case, picking up 8 touches against the Saints, while he sat out as a sub in the other game.
- Jobe Watson and Brent Stanton were both as prolific as ever, it was pretty obvious that both wanted to win.
