The season is done and dusted. Please join over us over the break where we review the results from the grand finals for each league.

First of all I would like to thank Stowie, Pearcey and Headmandude for their tireless efforts throughout the year for providing the reviews for each league. It is much appreciated.

Also a big thanks to Ant for his help with setting up the leagues and inviting the discussion on the scoring format and rules.

Lastly I would like to thank everyone who has placed comments in the threads during the season. I think we have the 2nd best community in Too Serious whereby we have a lot of discussion about the games and general NBA chat. We will be back bigger and better next year!

    Premier League

Westside Hardcore 1837 defeated King of Karlos 1590

Westside timed their run to perfection and were able to claim the championship with a comfortable win over King of Karlos. Going into this match I was expecting Karlos to get the win as he has had the most consistent team right throughout the season but full credit must go to Westside. Games played were 48-47 in favour of Westside. Lowry was huge for Westside this round with (249/4), next best were CP3 (233/4) and Batum (213/4). Unfortunately for Karlos, Durant only played 3 games this round and he finished with (183/4). The other best players were Griffin (225/4) and Lillard (194/4).

    Division One

Let me congratulate everyone on a very fun and entertaining season. No matchup was easy and all owners stayed incredibly active, even throughout the playoffs.

    #4 Team Stowie (9-7) 1953 def #2 Adelaide Maggots (11-5) 1697

The matchup was in the balance early with both teams getting strong contributions across the board but on the fifth day, Team Stowie built what turned out to be an unasailable lead. The Brow (261 / 3) took home the Finals MVP and topped off the celebrations with a 40pt / 20reb game on the last day. Thad Young (184 / 4) and CB4 (175 / 4) rounded out the top performers for Stowie. Leading for the Maggots were Noah (201 / 3), IT2 (188 / 4) and KD (183 / 3) as their season, that featured an amazing eleven game winning streak, ended just short of glory.

CK Nicks (11-5) 1365 def Mookie Blaylock Athletic Club (13-3) 969

Enter The Dragon (8-8) 1372 def by The Raptors (9-7) 1659

    Laino's Nuggets (5-11) 1227 def by Crossy Crusaders (6-10) 1565

Travys Boys (5-11) 1253 def by Broady Broncos (7-9) 1706

    Fudge Fudge (5-11) 1482 def Cyril33s Crushers (7-9) 1436

    Final Standings

#1 Team Stowie (Promoted to Premier)

Stowie will join Premier for the first time after playing in the inaugural season of TS Fantasy Hoops. They got off to a hot start on the back of Anthony Davis, but injuries to Davis, Vucevic and Butler slowed the team down throughout the middle portion of the season. Davis would return and keep bringing the big scores and his Pelican team mate Tyreke finally cracked the starting lineup, two keys to Stowie getting over the line in the playoffs.

    #2 Adelaide Maggots

Maggots built a very strong squad on draft day led by Curry (later traded for KD), Noah and IT2. Their pickup of Gerald Green when Bledsoe was unavailable was a massive bonus. Bledsoe returned at the wrong time for Maggots as they essentially lost one of their main men on the eve of the grand final. A great season, and will be hoping for another long winning streak and shot at the Championship again next season.

    #3 CK Nicks

CK Nicks finished the season in the #3 spot, a massive effort after just scraping through to avoid relegation last season. Drafting Westbrook, Tobias and Rondo was a risk that paid off as their record shows.

#4 Mookie Blaylock Athletic Club (Promoted to Premier)

Congratulations to MBAC on having the highest points for total (across all Divisions I believe) and making his way up to Premier Division next season. Some fantastic drafting getting Love, Wall, Blake and DLee up front and Oladipo a bit later, just struggled to stay healthy late in the year.

    #5 The Raptors

The Raptors came into the playoffs on a two game skid after stashing a number of injured players in the lead up. Unfortunately, only Kawhi made it back in time for Round 1. Drafted very well, especially grabbing MCW in the tenth round!

    #6 Enter The Dragon

L6 took KD with the first overall pick but it didn't turn into instant wins losing six of their first seven matchups. They managed to turn it all around and scrape into the playoffs but didn't have the cattle left in the end having traded hard to make the playoffs.

    #7 Crossy Crusaders

Crossy avoided relegation! In a similar manner to rival CK, Crossy got the three wins required to save himself and send Laino's packing. Trading Larry Sanders away in return for Rondo turned out to be a key move as he contributed strongly in the final few weeks.

    #8 Laino's Nuggets (Relegated to Div 2)

Laino's first season in Div 1 started strong but then losing BroLo, Westbrook and Jrue for a large majority of the season made it incredibly tough. They've made the jump up before, so I can't see them spending too long back in Div 2.

    #9 Broady Broncos

The Broncos were in the playoffs for 90% of the season, just falling out in the end. One of the favourites after draft day, they were led by CP3 and the bargain of the draft Kyle Lowry, who was picked in the seventh round. He is a favourite of the Broncos, but might need to reach a bit higher next year.

#10 Travys Boys (Relegated to Div 2)

Travys Boys, who missed the start of the draft, ended up with a lot of injuries. DWill, Ilyasova, TChandler, Marion, Gordon, Lawson, Henson, MGasol... I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting. Unlucky and will now head to Div 2 for next season.

#11 Fudge Fudge (Relegated to Div 2)

Fudge, despite having LBJ and LMA didn't get consistent contributions from the next teir players through the middle of the year resulting in a six game losing streak quickly losing pace on the leaders.

    #12 Cyril33s Crushers (Relegated to Div 2)

Cyril33s Crushers, who drafted DRose (and turned down A LOT of trade offers for him) managed to hang in the playoff race until the last week with Millsap and Batum leading the way with help from some unreal waiver wire pickups including Collison and Barnes.

    Division Two

    Championship Game:

Six Ten Two Forty - 1916 def The Hinrich Manoeuvre -1549

Congratulations to GM Martin Bodo for leading his team, Six Ten Two Forty, to victory in the championship game against The Hinrich Manoeuvre. Commiserations must go to GM Alasdair Woodford who, after a great finals series, fell at the last hurdle.
The deciding game was dominated by the Two Forty's, winning in emphatic fashion by 367 points. Both teams used their full allocated number of acquisitions in this match-up, with the games played total sitting at 51-50 in the Two Forty's favour. The winning team was led from the front by their marquee players: Griffin (225/4), Batum (213/4) and James (195/4) whilst THM were best served by Paul (233/4), Young (184/4) and Duncan (141/4).

Again congratulations to Six Ten Two Forty for their Championship win and well done and thank you to all GMs for their involvement in this terrific season.

Bokoshe Broken Arrows - 1583 def Brisbane Average Joes - 1401
