Hello again! Its been a busy few weeks for me - with supercoach starting up again...  and moving house as well.
I want to thank Steve for all the effort he put into these writeups for the last 3 weeks. Steve, you did a great job, was excellent reading them each week - and it seems to have turned things around for your team haha. While doing the writeups, you went on a winning streak, whereas my teams form nose dived - after claiming the DD trophy outright, i then lost the next 2 games before jumping back on the winners list this week - albeit with a fairly low score. Im hoping now that I am doing this again, my team can start performing as it was a few weeks back. lol.
Our league is so close at the moment. Owen and Karlos are both on 12 and 2 at the top of the Too conference, while there are four teams on 10 and 4 at the top of the Serious conference. But where it really gets close is that there are 7 teams on 50% records holding spots 7 to 13 on our overall ladder. It doesnt stop there either: the next two spots are held by teams 1 game back - Cameron who is ranked 9th on the points for ladder; and UnderAchievers who is ranked 12th on the same table. Actually those two teams are the only two that buck the trend of our points for ladder being the same as the actual standings. To explain differently - The top 12 teams are all ranked the same on the points for ladder, with Cameron and UnderAchievers in amongst them at their spots. alright - thats still not explained really well, but Im sure most of you will know what im yakking about.
Very close at the moment anyway! So many teams still in with a chance to make playoffs! And teams at the top can still finish in any order. And, importantly, with only 5 games to go in our regular season, all teams can still mathematically miss or make the playoffs!! Thats awesome. Some huge games coming up over the next few weeks!
I have to congratulate Kings of Karlos for winning his 9th game in a row this week. Well done mate! You have stormed up the ladder to go level with our mainstay at the top of the table - Owen and Run TMC. Next best current streak is 5 wins for both Steve and Micka.
Now over the break, youll find the review of Matchup 14; and the preview of Matchup 15::::::

Matchup 14 game reviews:
<a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=1&seasonId=2011" target="_blank">Team anthak 1020 v <a title="Ruddys Cavaliers (Peter Rudd)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=14&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Ruddys Cavaliers 767
I was happy to get back on the winners list this week after a couple of losses in a row. Feb 1st was the only day that i actually lost, so it was a good consistent effort from my boys, but still not spectacular - even still they did the job required to get over an injury riddled Cavaliers outfit. Ruddy had approx 25% less games played than me over the week, so I was lucky to cop him now, rather than a few weeks ago when he was flying! Ruddys best 2 performers were Gasol (187 from 3 games) and Tyson Chandler (150 from 4 games); And I was best serviced by Durant (198 from 3), ZRandolph (176 from 4) and Rose (108 from 2).
<a title="Too Seriouseses (Les Wales)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=2&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Too Seriouseses 941 v <a title="Wade Machine (Daniel Laengst)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=15&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Wade Machine 1442
See what a bit of confidence can do for a team. Some teams strive under adversity, but others need a bit of a pep-up. Wade Machine were tipped for the first time and went out and smashed the TSeses by a whopping 500 points! Thats pretty damb good against a team closeby on the ladder. Dan had 2 players with double centuries - Wade (234 from 4) and Dirk N (226 from 4); and another 4 with tons - Conley (181 from 4), Davis (176 from 4), Horford (116 from 2) and Scola (113 from 3). While Walesy had a few injury problems and only 3 players with tons - Billups (176 from 4), Hibbert (129 from 4) and GWallace (127 from 4) but he was also well served by Jamal Crawford (99 from 3) and DeJuan Blair (91 from 3).
<a title="Team El Bonanzas (Al Lee)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=3&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Team El Bonanzas 0 v <a title="Fudges Sixers (Jim Tsilikas)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=16&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Fudges Sixers 1109
Fudge scored well this week, as most do against Elbonz... He had 3 players score at least 150s, with Aldridge going one better with a double ton (228 from 4); the other 2 were Iggy (153 from 3) and KevMartin (152 from 3); and Harris (149 from 4) wasnt far behind them.
<a title="Adelaide Maggots (Cameron Sears)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=4&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Adelaide Maggots 1123 v <a title="Dannys Lebronts (Danny Smith)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=18&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Dannys Lebronts 801
This result makes it 6 losses in a row now for Danny10! The LeBronts were doing quite well early on, but have slipped up big time and are now back with the pack fighting it out for the last few playoff spots. Cameron has been scoring really well most of the season, but despite this - this was only his 6th win, which sees him a game back from a playoff spot. Cameron had 5 players score tons - CP (158 from 3), LRMAM (119 from 4), Morrow and Maggette (both with 118 from 4), rounded out with Bell (108 from 4). While Danny10 was, once again, best served by Lebron (236 from 4), with good contributions from Parker (119 from 4) and Nelson (115 from 4).
<a title="Jasmines Mob (Jasmine Johnson)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=5&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Jasmines Mob 1007 v <a title="Run TMC (Owen Beebe)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=19&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Run TMC 1263
A big game this one - both teams have consistently been near the top of the ladder all season. Jasmine seems a little hard done by in that she only had 2 games each from 3 of her best players, but overall there was only 1 game separating both teams in total games played for the week. But I would rather have my best 3 playing maximum games, than players at the end of my roster. Owen had 2 players score over 200 - Jefferson (217 from 4) and Griffen (201 from 4), with Jackson (190 from 4) coming close. He also had big contributions from Rondo (152 from 3), Miller (127 from 4), Prince (115 from 3) and Hayes (114 from 3) - that being a huge 7 players over 100! Jasmine also had her fair share of contributors with 5 players over 90, led by Sessions (194 from 4), Ellis (109 from 2) and House (102 from 4).
<a title="Westside Hardcore (Michael Walters)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=6&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Westside Hardcore 1138 v <a title="Doobia Dominators (Andrew Dubowik)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=20&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Doobia Dominators 879
Another impressive performance by Mickas mob! Whereas Doobs has been smashed by injuries lately. A good indication of how this game would go was on day 2 when the Dominators put up a total of -1 for the day. They went on to win 2 days during the week - 1 by a point, and the other in the final day junk time. Mickas 3 players over 100 actually all topped 150 - Brand (193 from 3), Millsap (185 from 4) and Anthony (153 from 4). Doobs had 5 players score over 100 led by Amir Johnson (183 from 3), and well supported by Felton (145 from 3), Granger (134 from 4), Gallinari (105 from 3) and Bosh (104 from 4).
<a title="Do Something Knicks (Chris Riches, Steve Smith)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=7&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Do Something Knicks 1088 v <a title="Team Stowie (Daniel Stow)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=8&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Team Stowie 960
This was one of the closest games of the round, even though 128 points was the final margin. There were 31 players used all up by both teams during the week with both probably riding the waiver wire to help their team get over the line, as it was close throughout the week. Stowie had 4 players over 100 - Kobe (184 from 3), Collison (149 from 4), Mathews (130 from 4) and Ibaka (104 from 3); whereas DSK only had the 2 - Nene (164 from 4) and Blatche (148 from 4), with another few in the 90s as well.
<a title="Under Achievers (Richard Chambers)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=11&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Under Achievers 1030 v <a title="Pikus United (Adam Ziegler)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=9&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Pikus United 0
Big win obviously! UAs best players for the week were Gay (198 from 4), Kidd (181 from 4), Humphries (108 from 4), McGrady (104 from 3) and Lopez (102 from 4).
<a title="Team HEAVER! (David Tong)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=13&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Team HEAVER! 998 v <a title="Kings of Karlos (Sean Minetti)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=10&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Kings of Karlos 1233
Another top of the table clash in the same week! Kings of Karlos kept on their merry way with a convincing win over the very formidable lineup of Heavers. Karlos jumped out of the blocks on fire and led by close to 300 points after the first 2 days. Heaver then rallied a little before Karlos put the nail in the coffin, winning the final day. Both teams had 5 over 100 with another 1 stranded in the 90s. Karlos was best served by Howard (171 from 4), Calderon (143 from 3), Jamison (138 from 4), Odom (122 from 3) and Afflalo (106 from 4); And for Heaver it was Westbrook (185 from 3), JSmith (157 from 3), Love (121 from 3), Batum (117 from 4) and LWilliams (113 from 3) with tons.
<a title="Team Fezkat (Kristian Collins)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=17&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Team Fezkat 913 v <a title="Stevos Nuggets (Stephen Nilsson)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=12&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Stevos Nuggets 989
This was easily the closest game of the round and the only one with a margin less than 100 points. Steve once again winning by the skin of his teeth - after the closest margin last week as well. As I mentioned earlier, Steve is on a 5 game winning streak now, which is a huge turnaround after his season was almost in tatters mid season. Im really happy that the season is so close with no teams that are easybeats (apart from the obvious couple), and no teams that are unbeatabull (why isnt that in the dictionary haha. I still have fond memories of 1996 obviously!). Steve had 5 players over 100, but none over 122! Hickson (122 from 4) was his best, and he was supported by Ilyasova (119 from 4), Wall (116 from 4), Watson (109 from 4) and West (103 from 3). Fez had only 3 over 100 but 2 of them topped 150 - Stoudamire (165 from 3) and JJ (156 from 3), while Deng finished with an even 100 from just 2 games.

Matchup 15 game previews:
<a title="Wade Machine (Daniel Laengst)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=15&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Wade Machine (7-7) v <a href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=1&seasonId=2011" target="_blank">Team anthak (10-4)
Im certainly not tipping Dan after what it seemed to do for his mob last week! My boys: Team anthak gets my tip.
<a title="Fudges Sixers (Jim Tsilikas)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=16&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Fudges Sixers (7-7) v <a title="Too Seriouseses (Les Wales)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=2&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Too Seriouseses (7-7)
With the new site up and going and bugs to fix, let alone all the AFL stuff going on now, its hard to see Walesy getting another win now. Tipping Fudges Sixers.
<a title="Dannys Lebronts (Danny Smith)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=18&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Dannys Lebronts (7-7) v <a title="Team El Bonanzas (Al Lee)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=3&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Team El Bonanzas (0-14)
Dannys Lebronts to snap his losing streak.
<a title="Run TMC (Owen Beebe)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=19&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Run TMC (12-2) v <a title="Adelaide Maggots (Cameron Sears)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=4&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Adelaide Maggots (6-8)
I said before that no team was unbeatabull, but I may have been hasty... Owen would have to come close to being as intimidating as the Bulls of 95/96. And he has just picked up an inform Wesley Johnson from the Waivers to further strengthen his team! Even with the good form that the Maggots are in, I gotta pick Run TMC.
<a title="Doobia Dominators (Andrew Dubowik)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=20&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Doobia Dominators (5-9) v <a title="Jasmines Mob (Jasmine Johnson)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=5&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Jasmines Mob (10-4)
However Owen may have been a little lucky last week - and after that match, im tipping Jasmines Mob to get back in the winners column this week.
<a title="Team Stowie (Daniel Stow)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=8&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Team Stowie (5-9) v <a title="Westside Hardcore (Michael Walters)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=6&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Westside Hardcore (10-4)
WH have been one of the form teams of late - well actually most of the season! But I gotta pick an upset or two... Tipping Team Stowie here.
<a title="Pikus United (Adam Ziegler)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=9&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Pikus United (0-14) v <a title="Do Something Knicks (Chris Riches, Steve Smith)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=7&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Do Something Knicks (7-7)
no upset here... Do Something Knicks to win in a canter - Ive been waiting for a moment to confidently write that after the round 1 debacle...
<a title="Kings of Karlos (Sean Minetti)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=10&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Kings of Karlos (12-2) v <a title="Under Achievers (Richard Chambers)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=11&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Under Achievers (6-8)
Can anyone stop him????  I hope so... would be a shame for the Diggler trophy to be out of reach for the rest of us. Go Under Achievers!
<a title="Stevos Nuggets (Stephen Nilsson)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=12&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Stevos Nuggets (7-7) v <a title="Team HEAVER! (David Tong)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=13&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Team HEAVER! (10-4)
Now that Steve has gone camping and is not doing this writeup anymore, Im sure his fortunes will change... So Team Heaver has my tip.
<a title="Ruddys Cavaliers (Peter Rudd)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=14&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Ruddys Cavaliers (7-7) v <a title="Team Fezkat (Kristian Collins)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=17&seasonId=2011" target="_top">Team Fezkat (5-9)
I think this will be a close game! Very hard to pick... but im going with Team Fezkat.
.
So that is it for this week. Have a great one! and remember to get some chatter happening in between watching NAB games and working out initial SuperCoach teams...
