Another week has come to a close and there are only 8 teams across all 3 leagues that are still undefeated! In the NBA, most teams have played 8 or 9 games, and Miami & OKC are setting the pace so far; while Washington is the only team still yet to get a W. This reduced season is throwing up some strange scenarios with lots of early blow-outs and players being rested left right and centre. Miami even gave LeBron a game off - and I hope they continue with that tactic as Im up against him this week . While talking of LJames, he is still easily our highest scorer - averaging 68.8 fppg so far - and Love is still a clear second as well - averaging 59.4 fppg. the pack have dropped back a bit too as 3rd spot - Kyle Lowry - is only averaging 51.8 fppg now and the top 3 are the only ones ave over 50; whereas 3rd spot was averaging about 55 a week ago.
We had 2 teams top 1700 this week and one other probably should have, but didnt set up his final day roster before it locked and had 180-odd points sitting on the bench that coulda been used. The two teams that did manage to top 1700 were <a title="Team HEAVER! (Dave Tong)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=13&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Team HEAVER! (coached by HEAVER) in Premier with 1708 and <a title="The Jug-O-Naughts (Kristian Collins)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=10094&teamId=2&seasonId=2012" target="_top">The Jug-O-Naughts (coached by Fez) in Division 1 who romped away with the highest score of the round with a 1755! Well done guys. The highest scoring loser was up against HEAVER and it was <a title="Robert Sarvers Handbag (Chris Riches, Steve Smith)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=7&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Robert Sarvers Handbag (coached by chris88 & smittys07 ) in Premier, who scored a very good 1512 - which would have beaten 13 of the other 17 winners! There were a few close games this week, but the closest went to the game between <a title="Maxwells Marvels (Andrew Maxwell)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=10201&teamId=3&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Maxwells Marvels (coached by maxweas) and <a title="Team 726 (Sam Lee)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=10201&teamId=6&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Team 726 (coached by minis) in Div2 where the final margin was only 16 points... and minis is the one that didnt set his final day roster before it locked - and for those of you who missed it, <a href="http://tooserious.net/nba-one-week-into-the-new-season/comment-page-4#comment-112498" target="_blank">earlier tonight he gave us a little insight into his day on Monday that is pretty funny - or stressful ...depending on how empathetic you may be. Special mention should also go to the Div1 game between stowie and UnderAchievers & ? who had a final margin of just 17 points! And finally, the lowest score this round - 998 (only one not to crack a grand) - easily went to <a title="Brutal Deluxe (Jack Cheal)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=10094&teamId=6&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Brutal Deluxe (coached by Sainter) in Div 1 who has not been setting up his team for each day... Sainter, Im not sure if you are not around or if you dont know how to do it. I hope everything is alright with you mate. If you read this - give us a shout out to let us know youre ok, and if you not sure how to set your rosters in advance, speak up and we can help you.
Again, over the break will be the review for each individual league. I will write the Premier League review, Steve the Division 1 review and smokinjoemisiti will write the review for Division 2:::::::

PREMIER LEAGUE (by anthak)
<a title="Fudges Sixers (Jim Tsilikas)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=16&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Fudges Sixers (fudge) 1092 v <a title="Kings of Karlos (Sean Minetti, Leigh Walles)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=10&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Kings of Karlos (karlos & Lethal) 1573
Karlos had a super settled unit this week with almost all of his players playing all possible games. Stuckey was his only injury concern, and he only had the one acquisition during the matchup; whereas Fudge had a couple of injuriy woes - particularly Nene who didnt play a game for him this week, and he used all 5 acquisitions and 16 players in total during the week - but still could not catch Karlos in games played losing out in that regard by 9 games. But nothing should be taken away from Kings of Karlos who posted one of the highest team scores of the round, helped in a big way from Nash (214 from 4) and Durant (194 from 5). The best for Fudge was Westbrook with 178 from 5.
<a title="Wade Machine (Daniel Laengst)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=15&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Wade Machine (dabombers) 1579 v <a title="Run TMC (Owen Beebe)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=19&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Run TMC (Owen) 1447
Last years champion vs last years minor premier! What a matchup on paper, and it lived up to expectations in some ways, but the result probably seemed evident fairly early on. Both sides went through the whole week with no injury concerns, and neither team raided the FAs much - well Dabombers didnt at all, while Owen had 2 acquisitions. The scores were a bit up and down throughout the week, but Dabombers had it under control the whole time and it was really only a junk time catchup by Owen on the last day that made the scores look a bit closer. Best for Wade Machine was Anthony (217 from 4) and best fro Owen was Harden (195 from 5).
<a title="Adelaide Maggotz (Cameron Sears)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=21&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Adelaide Maggotz (maggots) 1156 v <a title="Ruddys Cavaliers (Peter Rudd)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=20&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Ruddys Cavaliers (Ruddy) 1263
Last week maggots was lucky to get away with a W in a low scoring affair, and this week he was on the other side of that - still quite low scoring, but couldnt do enough to beat Ruddy. Both teams had their injuries, and they both ended up playing the same amount of games each team. It was an interesting game, with Ruddy getting a handy lead with 2 days to go, before Maggots came storming back to within 8 points with just a day to go, but Ruddy then put his foot down again and won comfortably in the end. Ruddys best was Bryant (209 from 4) and Maggots best was Millsap (135 from 4).
<a title="Jasmines Mob (Jasmine Johnson)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=5&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Jasmines Mob (Jasmine) 1379 v <a title="ant hak (Anthony Hack)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=1&seasonId=2012" target="_top">ant hak (anthak) 1212
We both copped some injuries this week and both used all 5 acquisitions, using 16 players each - Jasmine ended up with 3 more games played which is nothing. We had so many close days near the start of the week and I thought it would be a good matchup, but Jasmines team was far too strong for mine in the end and she won comfortably. Jasmines Mobs top scorer was RJefferson (166 from 5) and Gay (163 from 4) did really well too - probably better. My best was Monta Ellis with 219 from 4 games which was a good positive for me.
<a title="Too Seriouseses (Les Wales)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=2&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Too Seriouseses (walesy) 1406 v <a title="Westside Hardcore (Michael Walters)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=6&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Westside Hardcore (Mick) 1431
This was an extremely close game. It was a bit up and down throughout the week, but it came right down to the wire with just 25 points separating them at the end. There was no pun intended there, but it may have litterally come down to the wire - the waiver wire... well FAs anyway, as Mick used all 5 of his acquisitions and Walesy not 1, and therefore Mick ended up with 6 more games played - that and walesy was affected by injury with Beasley missing a few games - although Mick had his own problems with LeBron missing a game too. That missed game let DJ Augustin sneak through to lead the team with 202 points (from 4 games; whereas LeBron was next in line with 195 (from 3). Best for Walesy was KLove with a massive 235 from 4 games.
<a title="Team HEAVER! (Dave Tong)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=13&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Team HEAVER! (HEAVER) 1708 v <a title="Robert Sarvers Handbag (Chris Riches, Steve Smith)" href="http://games.espn.go.com/fba/clubhouse?leagueId=23530&teamId=7&seasonId=2012" target="_top">Robert Sarvers Handbag (chris88 & smittys07) 1512
This was a tremendously high scoring affair, with Heaver having the 2nd highest score across all 3 leagues, and RSH being the highest scoring loser across all 3 leagues! Both teams had really high games played counts and both used 4 of 5 acquisitions to help them achieve that. After days 3 and 4, chris88 & smittys07 had the lead in this matchup, but Heaver won the last 4 days which saw him hit the lead after day 5 and extend it from there on. but what a game - Robert Sarvers Handbag must feel a little hard done by sitting 0 and 2 after putting up 2 high scores to start the season - but there are also plenty of positives in that! Top scorers in this game were JSmith (261 from 5) for Heaver and Bosh (178 from 4) for RSH..

DIVISION 1 (by Steve):
This week saw one trade go down in Division 1 whereby I traded Scola to Stowie in return for Varejao.
The Jug O Naughts (Fez) 1755 v Stevo’s Nuggets (Steve) 1439
I threw everything at Fez this week and still came up short. The combination of the King and J Smoove was too much to overcome plus Fez had a wide range of players who were consistently scoring 20-30pts each game. J Smoove was the best player for Fez with 261, followed by the King 195 and Tyreke Evans on 160. My best players were Carmelo with 217, Westbrook 178 and Chalmers with 150. Fez has now made it 2 from 2 and is one of the early pacesetters in Division 1.
Canuck Steelers (Under Achievers) 1474 v Team Stowie (Stowie) 1456
This was the closest match of the season so far in Division one and came right down to the very last game where Stowie was hoping Mike Conley would score enough points to get him the win. Alas, Conley came up short and the Steelers have now made it 2 from 2. The best scorers for the Steelers were K Love 235, Gallinari 188 and 178. Stowie received good contributions from Bargnani 164, Conley 158 and Jefferson 135.
Doobia Dominators (Doobs) 1355 v Brutal Deluxe (Sainter) 998
It appears that Sainter has gone into hiding as he is not updating his team for each day and is not responding to emails. Where are you Sainter??? Doobs was able to notch up a comfortable victory here and spent most of the round setting up his team for future rounds which is a smart strategy. The best players for Doobs were Durant 194, Horford 184 and Jack 164. For Sainter, he had to rely upon Augustin 202, Pau Gasol 182 and Blatche 142 to get the job done. Please respond to us Sainter, you gave us a guarantee before the season started that you would be committed to this league.
The Bucks Fizz (spm 67) 1507 v Crossy’s Crusaders (Crossy) 1208
The Bucks Fizz were able to sneak away with the win due to Crossy having a number of players missing through DTD injuries. As I mentioned last week, Bucks Fizz have assembled a very good roster which is very deep. The best players for Bucks Fizz this week were Ellis on 219, Marc Gasol 172 and Nash 160. Crossy’s best players were Jennings 182, Howard 172 and Aldridge 178. Bucks Fizz are now sitting at 2-0 while Crossy has dropped back to 1-1.
Albert Park Rangers (Bgt2110) 1368 v Everton 149érs (Rev) 1286
This matchup was a very tight contest right throughout the week until the very last day where the Rangers were able to score 126 compared to the 149érs who could only manage 29. The Rangers received good contributions from Al Jefferson 171, Teague 158 and Calderon 148. For the 149er’s, the best scorers were Joe Johnson 148, Stoudemire 142 and Wes Matthews 137. The Rangers are now 2 from 2 while the 149érs will be seeking their first win of the season in round 3.
Ck Nicks (Costak) 1295 v Get Knicked (Liquid Sixx) 1252
This was another hard fought contest which ebbed and flowed each day of the matchup. Both teams were relying upon results to go their way on the last day of the matchup to get the win and Costak came out on top. The best scorers for the Nicks were Kobe 209, Rose 181 and Gortat 136. For Get Knicked, they received good scores from Harden 195, Gay 163 and Chandler on 148. Both teams are now in the middle of the pack sitting at 1-1.

DIVISION 2: (by smokinjoemisiti)
SmokinJoe Misiti (smokinjoemisiti) 1324 defeated The Hinrich Manoeuvre (Don_Cottagers) 1264
Smokin’s top scorer for the week was Brandon Jennings with 182, whilst picking up Mike Conley off waivers proved crucial with him scoring 158. He also hung onto Richard Hamilton who missed his last 3 games which cost Smokin some points. Don got 178 from Russell Westbrook and 171 from Al Jefferson. The final day saw Smokin have 6 players play compared to Don’s 4 and that proved to be the difference, with Mike Conley recording 47 points to seal the win.
Team 726 (minis) 1511 defeated Maxwell’s Marvel’s (maxweas) 1495
Another close encounter! Minis got 175 from Kevin Love, whilst 8 others scored in triple figures. Max got 209 points from Kobe Bryant and 202 from DJ Augustin. The last day saw Minis have about a 100 point lead but with only 1 player playing against 4 from Max. Low scores from Tony Allen (7), Marcus Camby (13) and Tim Duncan (14), allowed Minis to get the tight victory.
Team Ring Ticklers (joellamerton) 1387 defeated Hawthorn OKC Magic (Cobra_Magic) 1174
Joel had some good play from the Gasol brothers with Pau getting 182 and Marc 172. Cobra’s top scorer was once again Lebron James with 195. This matchup had a few star players out injured with Cobra having Lebron miss one, Eric Gordon missing 3, and Zach Randolph missing 4 games. Joel had Steph Curry miss 2 games but was able to get the win.
Team Farken White (Jet) 1604 defeated Six Ten Two Forty (twoeyec) 1265
Jet had a big week from Carmelo Anthony who scored 217 whilst having the disadvantage of Blake Griffin and the Clippers only playing 2 games. Twoeyec’s top scorer was James Harden with 195 whilst Tyreke Evans was solid with 160. The problems for Twoeyec were with Michael Beasley and Andrew Bogut, who was back in Australia for personal reasons. This allowed Jet to get a comfortable win.
Team Travysboys (travyboy11) 1357 defeated Broady Broncos (nicksnow) 1282
Trav got 214 from Steve Nash whilst the Demarcus Cousins saga didn’t affect his production, getting 151 points. Nick got 219 from Monta Ellis and 188 from Danilo Gallinari, whilst injuries to Wade and Nene probably cost him this matchup. The final day saw Trav overrun Nick with his 5 players scoring 221 compared to Nick’s 1 player scoring 31.
Cyril33s Crushers (hawker) 1328 defeated Dropping Bombs (brettmarinovich) 1302
Yet another close encounter with Hawker getting the win on the back of Atlanta trio (who all played 5 games) Josh Smith-261 points, Al Horford-184, and Jeff Teague-158. He did however have Chris Paul and Deandre Jordan only playing 2 games because of the schedule. Brett had 194 from Kevin Durant, whilst only 99 from Rondo, and the injury to Manu Ginobli hurt his chances of winning. The last day saw Brett coming home strong with an 8 player to 3 advantage but 5 of his 8 scored under 20, meaning Hawker got the close win.
And here is the upcoming schedule:
