We are past half way of our regular season now, having played 6 of our 11 games. Across all 3 leagues, there are still 4 undefeated teams, and 2 that are yet to taste success. Both HEAVER and karlos are both undefeated in Premier League, and Fez and bgt2110 are both undefeated in Division 1, while there are no undefeated teams in Division 2. There is one team yet to find a win in Division 2 and that is coached by Don_Cottagers, with the only other winless team being Revs in Division 1.
Being more than half way through, its probably a good time to look at the way the finals are shaping up. 6 teams make the finals (with the top 2 getting a first round bye). Albert Park Rangers (bgt2110) 1630 v Stevo’s Nuggets (Steve) 1565
This game was the highest scoring game for the weekend but unfortunately for me I came out on the losing side despite scoring the 4th highest score for this week in Division One. Each day during this matchup the lead was going back and forth between the Rangers and the Nuggets but the Rangers came home stronger over the last few days. Leading scorers for the Rangers were Monroe 222, Pierce 212 and Curry 150. The best for the Nuggets were Westbrook 196, Carmelo 151 and Hibbert 145. The Rangers are still unbeaten for this season.
The Bucks Fizz (spm67) 1603 v Team Stowie (Stowie) 1296
The Bucks Fizz have been one of the quiet achievers this season and have now compiled a record of 4-2. They were far too strong for Stowie this round whereby they had a nice even spread of scores right throughout their roster while Stowie had to rely upon D will and Howard to get the majority of the points for his team. Leading scorers for the Bucks Fizz were Rubio 202, Humphries 179 and Anderson on 158. For Stowie, Dwight led the way with 214 closely followed by D Will on 203.
The Jug O Naughts (Fez) 1536 v Everton 149érs (Rev) 1536
Fez did not have too much trouble with this match up and has now made it 6 from 6 this season. Things were relatively even in this matchup heading into the weekend but the Jug O Naughts put the foot to the petal and smashed out a score of 401 on Sunday to get the job done. The best players for Fez were Lebron 229, Tyreke Evans 154 and Bynum on 152. For the Everton 149érs, the best players were Timmy Duncan 175, Fields 166 and Wall on 126. Unfortunately for the 149érs, they are still seeking their first win of the season.
Crossy Crusaders (Crossy) 1619 v Canuck Steelers (UA) 1303
This was a match between two of the form teams in the league and I expected the final margin to be a lot closer than what it turned out to be. Unfortunately for the Steelers, Bosh had a quiet week and the nutcase Stephen Jackson did not see any court time either. Both teams were very active in picking up players from the FA list. The leading scorers for Crossy this week were Griffin 202, Aldridge 198 and Parker 194. The best for the Steelers were Love 217 (enjoy your holiday for stomping on Scola’s head), Lowry 166 and Young on 133.
Get Knicked (Liquid_Sixx) 1466 v Doobia Dominators (Doobs) 1107
Get Knicked are rolling now and have made it consecutive wins. But Doobs can’t take a trick at the moment and has now made it 4 losses in a row. Get Knicked had total control of this match from a very early stage in the round. The leading scorers for Get Knicked were CP3 215, Gay 191 and Millsap on 165. The best scorer’s for Doobs were Durant 263, George 228 and Irving 115.
NahlavsLittleDee (Rodgo) 1492 v CK Nicks (Costak) 1358
Rodgo has been doing a bit of trash talking on our league page and his team were able to back up his words this week by defeating the CK Nicks. This matchup was very close until the last 2 days of the round but Rodgo was able to sneak away to get the win. The best scorer’s for Rodgo were Wade 188, Granger 189 and Stoudemire on 157. The CK Nicks received good scores from Rose 246, Gortat 199 and Camby 162. Rodgo is now 2 from 3 since taking over the team which has been a great effort.

Jet produced a nice score this week with Blake Griffin his top performer with 202 points, whilst Marcin Gortat scored 199. He does have a few injury concerns for the upcoming matchup with 5 players listed as day to day and Jason Kidd still listed as out. Smokin’s top scorers were Dwight Howard with 214 and Danny Granger with 189.
Six Ten Two Forty (twoeyec) - 1257 defeated The Hinrich Manoeuvre (Don_Cottagers) – 1103
A low scoring matchup that resulted in Don remaining winless for the season. Twoeyec was best served by Deron Williams who had 203 and Tyreke Evans who had 154 from 3 games. Top scorer for Don was Russell Westbrook with 196 whilst he had Nelson and Okur miss the entire round. The final day of play saw Don need an out of this world game from Jose Calderon to win but the Spaniard could only produce 4 points!
Broady Broncos (nicksnow) - 1432 defeated Maxwell’s Marvels (maxweas) – 1420
A great matchup coming right down to the final day of play. Top scorers were Greg Monroe with 222 for Nick and Derrick Rose with 246 for Max. Max had a battle on his hands for the final day with Linas Kleiza and Mario Chalmers representing him, coming up against Nick’s Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen. The result of the final day was only 59-54 allowing Nick to pull out the win.
Team Travysboys (travyboy11) - 1520 defeated Team 726 (minis) – 1457
Team 726 suffered their first loss of the season in a close contest. Kevin Love scored 217 for Minis but it was Trav’s Paul George who had a breakout game that may have proved the difference in this one. George scored 228 points for the round which included a massive 96 points against Dallas. Rookie Ricky Rubio was also good for Trav with 202 points.

Paul Pierce scored 212 and Kris Humphries 179 for Joel whilst Chris Paul scored 215 for Hawker. Hawker had some disappointing games from Barbosa, Scola and Daye just to name a few. Steph Curry had a huge 83 point scoring game for Joel.

Another close affair with Brett snatching the win on the final days play. Kevin Durant had a big round scoring 263 for Brett whilst Lebron James was again the standout for Cobra with 229 points. The final day saw Brett have 2 more players playing than Cobra and that proved the difference. Brett would have been relieved to have Rajon Rondo back and play 2 games for the round.
