The NBA season is well underway and there have been some surprising results in the first 2 weeks. The Kings have started off well, the Raptors are on fire, Heat are playing well without the King and the Grizz are looking the goods at the moment. We have also seen some more predictable results in that Philly are already in tank mode, it is going to be a long season for the Bucks, Nugs and Lakers, Spurs and Warriors are going to battle it out for top spot in the West and the Cavs will take a while to gel.
From a fantasy perspective, the Monobrow has been incredible. All the people in our leagues who did not pick him with the first pick in the draft are regretting that decision big time. Already we have seen players go down with injury - Westbrook, Oladipo.
Premier League

Ruddy's Cavaliers (2-0) 1613 defeated Too Seriouseses (0-2) 1172
Games played were 52-38 in favour of Ruddy. The Chief is biding his time at the moment waiting for the big guns to make it onto the court - Durant and MCW. Division One
Biggest Losers - 1298 def Hinrich Manoeuvre - 1269
Top Scorers: BL - N Vucevic - 159, HRM - L James - 160
Games Played: BL - 42, HRM - 42
In a game that came down to the last day the Biggest Losers outscored Hinrich Manoeuvre 227-147 to secure victory. GM Woodford would be hating on Greg Popovich and his decision to rest Duncan and Ginoboli on the 2nd day of their back-to-back but can take solace in the fact that Derrick Rose didn't play a game for the Losers all week.
The Fab 5 - 1567 def Ant Hak - 1325
Top Scorers: F5 - K Walker - 187, AH - C Paul - 199
Games Played: F5 - 46, AH - 40
Separated by only 1 point with 1 day to go, The Fab 5 put the foot down on the final day of games to outscore Ant Hak by a whopping 243 points to secure their first victory of the season. Would be safe to say that CJ Miles could see himself on the waiver wire with his massive output of -5 for the week!
Jasmine's Mob - 1978 def Crossy's Crusaders - 1613
Top Scorers: JMOB - J Harden - 234, CC - J Butler - 199
Games Played: JMOB - 52, CC - 49
In what was a very high scoring affair, Jasmine's Mob fell just short of the holy grail of 2000 points for the week in her smack down of Crossy's Crusaders. Jasmine was well served by her favourite Big Pecker who managed 123 points for the week. Jasmine was very excited when she drafted her own Big Pecker and was hoping he would be of good use throughout the season. Crossy would be disappointed in the performance of 1st round pick Blake Griffin who was well down on his usual performance.
Hall of Famers - 1485 def Adelaide Maggots - 1072
Top Scorers: FAME - S Curry - 220, AM - S Ibaka - 163
Games Played: FAME - 44, AM - 40
Led by the NBA Player of the Week Steph Curry, the Hall of Famers had an easy victory over the Maggots. The Hall of Famers improve to 2-0 and look in ominous early season form. The Maggots are having a hard time putting points on the board, especially with high draft pick Carter-Williams suffering from injury and Calderon joining him on the pine after just 1 week of the season.
Broady Broncos - 1646 def The Raptors - 1468
Top Scorers: BB - D Cousins - 209, RAP - D Howard - 168
Games Played: BB - 48, RAP - 44
After a solid week by both teams, the Broncos came out on top with a 178 point victory over the Raptors. Both teams now sit on a record of 1-1. Both team used the waiver wire to full effect with 5/5 acquisitions used each. Both teams look competitive and should both notch their 2nd win before long.
The Real MVP - 1493 def CK Nicks - 1278
Top Scorers: L6 - D Lillard - 211, CKNY - T Wroten - 203
Games Played: L6 - 45, CKNY - 41
In what GM CK labelled as the ‘battle of the hospital wards' The Real MVP was able to extract 4 more games for the week which led to a comfortable victory over CK Nicks. With Westbrook, Roberson & P Jones all missing games, the Nicks closely resemble the real OKC Thunder. Add to that injuries to T Jones and a slow start for K Leonard, this team is in allsorts and it might be a while before they notch their first W. On the other hand The Real MVP have Anthony Davis in the line-up - ‘nuff said.
