    Premier League

Wade Machine (1-0) 1459 defeated King of Karlos (0-1) 1178

Wade Machine bounced straight out of the blocks and posted the highest score in the premier league this round. The surprise packet MCW led the way with (208/3) with support from Curry (150/3) and Monroe (135/3). Karlos played 4 less games this round and was best served by Hawes (167/3), followed by Lillard (161/3) and Durantula (159/3).

    2 Gasols 1 Eyebrow (1-0) 1276 defeated Too Seriouseses (0-1) 1186

This was a battle of the 2 teams promoted from Division One last year and it was close match throughout. Both teams played 38 matches but days 4 and 5 of this matchup is where Jet was able to gain a crucial advantage. The Monobrow was a beast this round (234/3), Pau Gasol (139/3) and Conley (143/3) were next in line. Walesy would have been happy with the efforts of George (179/3), Bosh (171/4) and Nelson (127/4).

    Run TMC (1-0) 1175 defeated Ruddy's Cavaliers (0-1) 810

The reigning champ has got off to a shaky start and it did not help playing only 28 matches in this round. The strategy of drafting 4 Bobcats players may prove costly to Ruddy in the longer term but time will tell. Run TMC showed no mercy in this matchup and LBJ even had a quiet round this round for his standards by only scoring (202/4). Jimmy Butler (137/3) and J Smoove (127/3) were the next best scorers. Ellis was the best for Ruddy with (135/3) with good support from Afflalo (115/4) and Walker (112/3).

    Heaver (1-0) 1270 defeated Jasmine's Mob (0-1) 1126

This has always been a good match over previous seasons and this one did not disappoint either. Heaver built a strong lead over the first 4 days of the round and Jasmine was unable to peg it back. The Beard (166/3) was the best for Heaver followed by Horford (144/3) and Teague (141/3). Somewhat surprisingly Boozer was the highest scorer for Jasmine with (147/3) and the next best were Chalmers (169/4) and D12 (125/3)

    The Jug O Naughts (1-0) 1377 defeated Westside Hardcore (0-1) 1319

Another close match in the Premier League and Fez was able to claim a hard fought win. Mick will be scratching his head with the early season form of the Colonel who was very disappointing this round with (37/3). Mick's best players were CP3 (258/3), B Lopez (132/3) and Batum (134/3). Fez got off to a good start early in this matchup and was best served by Vucevic (178/4), DMC (150/3) and Klay Thompson (144/3).

    Anthak (1-0) 1060 defeated Linsanity 17 (0-1) 1035

This match was a battle of the last man standing. Players were going down everywhere with injuries and it all came down to the last match of the round where it was Young up against Carroll and Anthak was able to claim the win when Young outscored Carroll very comfortably. Rubio was the leading scorer with (171/3) and the next best were Bledsoe (154/3) and Carmelo (148/3). Linsanity will be looking to regroup next match and get a few more players back on the court. The best players this round were Love (206/3), Turner (127/3) and Lee (127/3).

    TooSerious Division 1

TRADE: One traded was agreed to late in the week with CK Nicks sending Rondo to the IR of Crossy Crusaders in exchange for 'The Show' Larry Sanders.

Team Stowie 1419 def Fudge Fudge 1256

After being relegated from the Premier Division, this isn't the start Fudge had wanted. LBJ (201 / 4) and Rubio (170 / 3) provided solid scores but a couple of Lakers in Nash (56 / 3) and Young (24 / 2) were disappointing despite being scheduled for four games this week. The Brow (234 / 3) led for Stowie with support from the big pair of Vucevic (177 / 4) and the photobombing CB4 (170 / 4).

Cyril33s Crushers 837 def by Mookie Blaylock Athletic Club 1353

Two of the promoted teams renewed their rivalry in the first matchup of the season with MBAC getting the better of the Crushers. K-Love (205 / 3) erased any memory of last year with three big games to lead the scoring for MBAC with 8 other players hitting triple figures in the matchup including Wall (141 / 3) and David Lee (127 / 3). Batum (134 / 3) led for the Crushers and picked up a sneaky triple double against the Spurs while Rose (45 / 3) struggled in his first week back.

    Laino's Nuggets 1252 def Crossy Crusaders 1070

Glow in the Dark man Paul George (179 / 3) got the Nuggets season off to the perfect start leading all scorers in the matchup with Crossy. He was backed up by Super Mario (168 / 4) and BroLo (132 / 3) who hasn't lost any touches yet despite playing for the Mega Powers. Crossy had to deal with a couple of injuries including PG pair Brandon Knight (-1 / 1) and Patrick Beverley (8 / 1) and an underperforming Larry Sanders (37 / 3) who was promtly traded. Lillard (161 / 3) has scoffed at those who thought the second year blues might might catch him, leading Crossy in week 1.

Adelaide Maggots 1146 def by The Raptors 1279

I am sure he will get mentioned in every writeup, but MCW (208 / 3) take a bow, he's got the Sixers rolling and the Raptors off to a good start too. Harden (166 / 3) and new Mav Monta (135 / 3) also contributed plenty in the Raptors win. The Maggots had some bad news with Ryan Anderson being ruled out for up to three weeks on the eve of the season (but he is still marked DTD!!!) leaving them a man down for the week. The Splash Brothers Steph (150 / 3) and Klay (144 / 3) led the way for the depleted Maggots.
    <p > Travys Boys 1062 def CK Nicks 889

Travys Boys took the lead on day two of the matchup and never let it go. Led by Tyson Chandler (131 / 3), The Matrix (124 / 3) and Marc Gasol (114 / 3) they did what was needed to hold off CK Nicks. Injured players meant CK had the lowest score in week one with Rondo and Harris still not available for a little while longer (the former has since been sent packing). Westbrook (36 / 1) made a surprise return, so surprising that CK wasn't able to get him into his lineup! Hopefully, his return to a core of DMC (150 / 3) and Boozer (147 / 3) will allow CK to turn it around quickly.

    Broady Broncos 1298 def Liquid's Sixers 1248

Preseason polls mentioned these two as the teams to beat, and they didn't disappoint with both teams putting up big numbers throughout the matchup. The Broncos were led by a massive week from CP3 (258 / 3) with Hawes (167 / 3) and Ariza (139 / 3) providing solid backup. L6 were led by 1st overall pick KD (158 / 3) and Mini Lebron (154 / 3). Both these teams looks primed for big seasons.

    Week 2 Matchups

    Cyril33s Crushers (0-1) at Team Stowie (1-0)

    Fudge Fudge (0-1) at Laino's Nuggets (1-0)

Mookie Blaylock Athletic Club (1-0) at Crossy Crusaders (0-1)

Travys Boys (1-0) at Adelaide Maggots (0-1)

The Raptors (1-0) at Broady Broncos (1-0)

    CK Nicks (0-1) at Liquid's Sixers (0-1)

    Division Two

    (1-0) Biggest Losers - 1444 def (0-0) SmokinJoe Misiti - 1052

This was a high scoring affair with the Losers putting together back-to-back 400+ point games to get over the line. The self-professed pre-season favourites get off to a solid start ;)
Games played was 37-34 which was closer than the scoreboard suggested.

Top performers for each team were:
Biggest Losers: Anthony Davis - 234 (3 games)
    Spencer Hawes - 167 (3 games)
    James Harden - 166 (3 games)
SmokinJoe Misiti: Nikola Vucevic - 178 (4 games)
    Stephen Curry - 150 (3 games)
    Tyson Chandler - 131 (3 games)

    (1-0) The Hinrich Manoeuvre - 1491 def (0-0) Brisbane Average Joes - 789

With the highest score of the round The Hinrich Manoeuvre were never headed and established themselves as the team to beat this season. With 17 players used the winning team showed that working the wire can play big dividends. With the games played a lopsided 38-23 the result was no real surprise. A very nice opening round win.
Top performers for each team were:
The Hinrich Manoeuvre: Chris Paul - 258 (3 games)
    Mario Chalmers - 169 (4 games)
    Carlos Boozer - 147 (3 games)
Brisbane Average Joes: Mike Conley - 143 (3 games)
    Monta Ellis - 135 (3 games)
    Gordon Hayward - 103 (3 games)

    (1-0) Bokoshe Broken Arrows - 1410 def (0-0) Manimal Love Favors - 1064

Another high scoring affair with the Broken Arrows balanced attached being too strong for the Favors. Injuries did the Favors no favours with a number of players only suiting up for 1 game for the week, with the games played being 36-32.
Top performers for each team were:
Bokoshe Broken Arrows: Paul George - 179 (3 games)
    Damian Lillard - 161 (3 games)
    Arron Afflalo - 161 (4 games)
Manimal Love Favors: Kevin Love - 206 (3 games)
    Eric Bledsoe - 154 (3 games)
    Andre Drummond - 134 (3 games)

    (1-0) Six Ten Two Forty - 1158 def (0-0) Adelaide Celtics - 944

Led strongly by LeBron James 610-240 got off to a good start with a comfortable win over the Derrick Rose-led Celtics. The Celtics GM would not have been happy with their highest draft pick combining for a total score of 45 points for 3 games. Things can only go up from here. Again, the team with the most games played (37-34) was the winner. Use that waiver wire people!
Top performers for each team were:
Six Ten Two Forty: LeBron James - 202 (4 games)
    Blake Griffin - 136 (3 games)
    DeAndre Jordan - 126 (3 games)
Adelaide Celtics: Chris Bosh - 171 (4 games)
    Josh Smith - 127 (3 games)
    Isaiah Thomas - 115 (3 games)

    (1-0) Peg's Men Lethal - 1171 def (0-0) Nahla Vs Little Dee - 1144

In the closest contest of the week Peg's Men beat Nahla by only 27 points! Must have been some nervous moments for the eventual winners as they could only muster 60 points in the final day of competition, almost being run down. Peg's Men also trailed in the games played 37-38 so it was a very good victory. The result would not have been as close except that Peg's Men had Michael Carter Williams on the bench for his debut game when he scored 100+!!!
Top performers for each team were:
    Peg's Men Lethal: DeMarcus Cousins - 150 (3 games)
    Dirk Nowitzki - 129 (3 games)
    Jameer Nelson - 127 (4 games)
Nahla Vs Little Dee: John Wall - 141 (3 games)
    Brook Lopez - 132 (3 games)
    Miles Plumlee - 109 (3 games)

    (1-0) Doobia Dominators - 1114 def (0-0) Paky Ballers - 998

Another close contest with the Dominators getting the win. Extended use of the waiver wire ended up being fruitless for the Ballers with them being behind in the games played count 35-36.
Top performers for each team were:
Doobia Dominators: Carmelo Anthony - 148 (3 games)
    LaMarcus Aldridge - 138 (3 games)
    Wesley Matthews - 128 (3 games)
Paky Ballers: Ricky Rubio - 171 (3 games)
    Kevin Durant - 159 (3 games)
    Pau Gasol - 139 (4 games)

    Round 2 fixture as follows:
Biggest Losers (1-0) vs Manimal Love Favors (0-1)
Smokin Joe Misiti (0-1) vs The Hinrich Manoeuvre (1-0)
Brisbane Average Joes (0-1) vs Bokoshe Broken Arrows (1-0)
Nahla Vs Little Dee (0-1) vs Six Ten Two Forty (1-0)
Adelaide Celtics (0-1) vs Doobia Dominators (1-0)
Peg's Men Lethal (1-0) vs Paky Ballers (0-1)
Interestingly that all the winners from week 1 play against all of the losers. Good luck to everyone in round 2.
