    As promised last week, I will discuss some of the fantasy studs and duds for the season so far. Feel free to post your comments below about some of your success stories and failures.

    Please read over the break

    <!--more-->

    I won’t talk about Lebron, Durantula and CP3 as we all knew they would be at the top of the tree for points scoring. However, there has been some surprises with some of the other names appearing in the top 20 players based on averages. Probably the biggest success story of the season so far is Sideshow Bob (avg 48.6), he has been a beast on the boards but also has improved his all round game to score more points. Well done to the owners who picked him up, I know Ant picked him up with a pick in the 80’s in the Premier League.

    Other players who have started off the season on fire are Noah (avg 45.9) who has assumed the responsibility of leading the Bulls while Rose is still out injured. Jrue Holiday (avg 43.8) is racking up the points on a consistent basis. AK47 (avg 42.6) is another who has been a huge surprise after coming back into the NBA this year. People who watched the Olympics basketball would have known that Kirilenko was going to have a good season (how did I forget it). Timmy D (avg 49.6) has turned back the clock although owners will probably be aware later in the season the Spurs will rest him on a regular basis for the playoffs.

    In regards to the Duds, where do I start? I could probably name a few as some of them are on my team. J Smoove (avg 33.4) has had a very ordinary start to the season. He looks hesitant in a contract year and has not scored the points I was expecting when I drafted him at pick 4. Ilyasova (avg 14.9) is another who has struggled with the expectation of delivering the goods after being awarded a 5 yr contract with the Bucks. Other players who have not performed to their normal expectations are Wade (avg 36.7), Cousins (avg 31.4), Ginobli (avg 25.7).

    Now onto the review, I will do the review for the Premier League, Stowie will do the review for Division One and Rev will do the review for Division Two.

    Premier League
    Jasmine’s Mob (2-2) &#160; 1476 v Linsanity 17 (0-4) &#160; 955
    The less said about this matchup the better. It was a non contest from day one and Jasmine ‘s Mob took no mercy on Linsanity. Jasmine has now improved her record to 2-2 while Linsanity is still searching for answers. Jasmine had 7 players break the 100 pt mark compared with Linsanity’s 4. The leading scorers for Jasmine were Parker (186/4), CP3 (186/) and Parsons (158/3). For Linsanity, Dragic (137/3) was the best followed by Bargnani (130/4) and J Smoove (127/4)
    King of Karlos (3-1) 1473 v Ruddy’s Cavaliers (2-2) 1381
    King of Karlos was able to grab a hard fought victory over Ruddy. Despite Ruddy using 4 acquisitions during the round, Karlos stayed true to his original roster at the start of the round and it paid off. Deron Williams finally came back in form for Karlos with (183/4) closely followed by the Bobcat duo of Sessions (161/4) and Walker (162/4). Once again Durantula was the best for Ruddy with (221/3) followed by Lopez (149/4) and Artest (143/4) – I refuse to call him by his pretend name.
    RunTMC (2-1-1) 1206 v Adelaide Maggotz (2-1-1) 1206
    History was created this week with the first ever tie in the TS NBA fantasy basketball. Run TMC had thought they had the lost the match by 3 pts and but with the final adjustments for the round their score was increased by 3 meaning a draw! Run TMC probably was unlucky to get scores of -4 from Stuckey and 2 from Crash Wallace on the last day. The Maggotz would have been jumping with joy with the news that K Love came back from injury quicker than anticipated. The best players for Run TMC this week were Kidd (169/4), Westbrook (162/4) and Turner (143/4). For the Maggotz, Harden led the way with (154/3) followed by Jennings (135/3) and Anderson (131/3)
    Wade Machine (2-2) 1181 v Fudge’s Sixers (0-4) 944
    Wade Machine was able to score the win in this matchup due to playing 38 games compared to the 32 games for Fudge. Wade Machine improved their record to 2-2 while Fudge is keeping Linsanity company at the bottom of the premiership table. The best players for Wade Machine were Thad Young (177/4), Valanciunus (144/4) and MKD (137/4). Once again Timmy D turned back the clock for Fudge with (196/4), followed by Lawson (152/4) and J Rich (126/4).
    The Jug-O-Naughts (3-1) 1405 v Team Anthak (3-1) 1219
    Fez was able to knock off the unbeaten Anthak after coming from behind on the final day when he scored 335 pts compared to the 116 pts for Anthak. Fez has a slighty more favourable schedule with 42 games compared to the 39 games for Anthak. Both teams are now 3-1 and have started off the season really well. Best players for Fez were Rondo (176/3), Melo (167/4) and Lee (165/4). Anthak relied upon Kobe (176/4), Sideshow Bob (146/3)and Iggy (143/4).
    Team Heaver (2-2) 1215 v Westside Hardcore (2-2) 1042
    Heaver was able to make it 2 wins on the trot and moved away from the relegation battle. Unfortunately for Westside the Monobrow went down with an ankle injury this round and to make matters worse Lowry returned for Heaver. Best players for Heaver were Hibbert (173/3), Lowry (162/4) and Horford (152/4). For Westside, Sausage Arms Felton led the way with (169/4) followed by Mullens (158/4) and Gallinari (153/4).

    Division One

    TRADE: The second trade of the season was agreed to with the Albert Park Rangers recieving Kirilenko, Jrue Holiday and Tony Allen from Team Stowie in exchange for Josh Smith, George Hill and Kawhi Leonard.

    Crossy Crusaders (3-1) crossy 1158 def by Team Stowie (3-1) (stowie) 1383

    The first loss of the season for Crossy Crusaders this week as Team Stowie managed to take a sizeable lead on the second day and manage it throughout the matchup. Leading scorers for Team Stowie were the recently traded Jrue Holiday (185 / 4) and fellow PG Jeff Teague (158 / 4). For Crossy Crusaders unheralded pair Byron Mullins (158 / 4) and Chandler Parsons (158 / 3) provided the most points.

    The Bucks Fizz (1-3) (spm67) 1324 def Albert Park Rangers (0-4) (bgt) 987

    The Bucks Fizz pick up their first win of the season on the back of nice performances from Melo (167 / 4) and Kemba Walker (162 / 4) with six others also cracking triple figures. This leaves Albert Park Rangers as the only winless squad leading to the trade of first round pick J-Smoove (127 / 4). Brandon Jennings (135 / 3) was the only other player from Albert Park Rangers to reach the century during this matchup.

    Nahla Vs LittleDee (1-3) (rodgo) 1116 def by Didnt Draft Durant (doh) (4-0) (Jet) 1325

    DDD(d) stay undefeated thanks to big weeks from Tony Parker (186 / 4), Varejao (146 / 3) and Blake Griffin (138 / 4). For Nahla Vs LittleDee Rondo (176 / 3) and Kobe (176 / 4) lead the scoring and they will be hoping for some good news on rookie Anthony Davis who didnt take the court during this matchup.

    Everybody Loves Raymond (2-2) (Liquid_sixx) 1055 def by Canuck Steelers (2-2) (UnderAchievers) 1321

    The Canuck Steelers get their second win in a row, and could be 4-0 if theyd had a bit of luck. Providing the points this week were CP3 (186 / 4), Ryan Anderson (168 / 4) and Ramon Sessions (161 / 4). Everybody Loves Raymond had good and bad news losing Kyrie for a month but the surprise return of Kevin Love (145 / 3) will have the smiling despite the loss.

    Broady Broncos (1-3) (nicksnow) 1330 def CK Nicks (2-2) (costak) 1059

    Another surprise return came from Kyle Lowry (162 / 4) powering Broady Broncos to their first win with Harden (154 / 3) and Wes Matthews (135 / 4) also doing some damage. CK Nicks had a nice first day but it was mostly downhill from their with Deron Williams (183 / 4) left on the bench for one day and Larry Sanders providing -17 points before getting the chop.

    Travys Boys (1-3) (travyboy11) 1344 def by Mildura Dunkanauts (4-0) (walesy) 1485

    The Mildura Dunkanauts became the second team to remain undefeated with seven players topping triple figures led by KD (221 / 3) and Tim Duncan (196 / 4). Travys Boys had eight players hit the tonne with Thad Young (177 / 4) and Westbrook (162 / 3) the highest managing quite well despite a large number of injuries.

    Division Two
    <div>Amnesty Clause Candidates (1-3) 1297 defeated The Hinrich Manoeuvre (0-4) 1109
    <div>
    <div>The Hinrich Manoevre remain one of just 2 winless teams after Amnesty claimed their first win of the season. ACC was aided by the return of Kevin Love, and the in form Steph Curry (156/4), Sideshow Bob (146/3) and Iggy (143/4). Hinrich meanwhile had a great week from CP3 (186/4) and Jefferson (127/3) produced strongly from his 3 games. Unfortunately for Hinrich though he is still searching for win number one.
    <div>
    <div>Lainos Nuggets (4-0) 1308 defeated The Raptors (2-2) 1228
    <div>
    <div>Lainos Nuggets is now the only undefeated team after a tight win over The Raptors. It took Laino until Saturday to take a commanding lead scoring 264 to 75 for the day. Laino was once again aided by Westbrook (162/3), but it was the mid-late round value that won him the game with Thaddeus Young (177/4), Parsons (158/3), Lillard (141/3) and J-Rich (126/4) all having strong weeks. The Raptors can feel hard done by as they probably would have won had Davis and Leonard played this week, but were still competitive thanks to Rondo (176/3), Hibbert (173/3) and Lowry (162/4).
    <div>
    <div>Mookie Blaylock Athletic Club (3-1) 1382 defeated SmokinJoe Misiti (2-2) 1083
    <div>
    <div>Mookie moved to 3-1 this week with a comfortable win over SmokinJoe after opening up a 160 point lead on day 1. Deron (183/4) and Melo (167/4) were the standouts, but Mookie also got value from mid-late round players Sessions (161/4), Teague (158/4) and West (150/3). Joe had big weeks from Parker (186/4) and Lee (165/4), but may be ruing the trade that sent Al Jefferson to Hinrich in return for JJ (just 104/4) and the still injured Eric Gordon.
    <div>
    <div>Cyril33s Crushers (3-1) 1459 defeated Six Ten Two Forty (2-2) 1223
    <div>
    <div>Despite Lebron playing only 2 games this week, Cyril again managed the rounds highest score. This was thanks to 8 players scoring over 100 points, the best being Holiday (185/4), Kidd (169/4) and Mullens (158/4). 6-10-240 lost Kyrie Irving this week and was left to rely on Walker (162/4), Lopez (149/4) and Turner (143/4). 6-10-240 has now dropped to 2 and 2 after a strong start to the season and will need to bounce back to stay in touch with the leaders.
    <div>
    <div>Doobia Dominators (2-2) 1238 defeated Pegs Men Lethal (3-1) 1158
    <div>
    <div>Doobia won their second game of the season, and in the process ended Pegs unbeaten start to the season. Considering it was an 80 point game, Durants massive 221 from 3 games could be considered the difference. Felton (169/4) and Horford (152/4) were also strong contributors, while Peg had just 3 players reach triple digits for the week in Anderson (168/4), Harden (154/3) and Gallinari (153/4).
    <div>
    <div>Adelaide Celtics (2-2) 1073 defeated Gosford Gunners (0-4) 980
    <div>
    <div>The Gosford Gunners remain winless after suffering another loss to&#160;the Celtics this week. Lawson (152/4) and World Peace (143/4) were the Celtics best performers in an even team performance. The Gunners had some standouts in Duncan (196/4) and Kobe (176/4) but fell away after that and failed to reach 1000 points for the 2nd week running.
