Premier League
Feel the Love (1-3) 1525 defeated Jasmine's Mob (0-4) 1248
Feel the Love was able to post their first win of the season and was a result of playing 4 more games than Jasmine this round. Once again Love was a beast with (211/4), next best were Dragic (168/4) and Turner (152/4). Jasmine is still searching for her first win of the season and will be hoping that Kobe comes back very soon. This week her best players were D12( 158/3), Stuckey (146/4) and Dalembert (141/4).
King of Karlos (2-2) 1786 defeated Ruddy's Cavaliers (0-4) 1198
A great score posted by Karlos this week and this match was over very early. On Day 3 of the matchup Karlos posted 505pts and Ruddy never had a chance from that point onwards. Karlos had 10 players break the 100 pt mark this round and were led by Griffin (253/5), Durant (177/3) and Lillard (174/4). Ruddy is still struggling and needs to turn things around very quickly. Injuries to Knight and Thad Young went missing which did not help either. This week his best players were Wall (248/4), Ellis (228/4) and Walker (134/4).
Too Seriouseses (3-1) 1365 defeated Run TMC (1-3) 1207
Walesy has started off very well since being promoted from Div One and notched up another win this round. George was the best with (175/3), next in line were Ish Thomas (146/4) and West (141/3). Run TMC has now had 3 losses in a row and will be looking to bounce back next week. Drummond was the best with (169/4), followed by Webster (162/4) and a very quiet LBJ by his standards with (144/3).
Wade Machine (3-1) 1561 defeated 1 Gasol 1 Eyebrow (3-1) 1372
Wade Machine was able to get back in the winner's list with a comfortable victory this round over 1 Gasol 1 Eyebrow. The games played were 45-41 in favour of Wade Machine and Dirk led the scoring with (207/4), next best were MCW (162/3) and Marion (140/4). One of the Gasols have now gone down with injury so there is only one Gasol left and one Eyebrow. The Eyebrow managed a whopping 141 pts in 2 games this round and Pau Gasol chipped in with 105 from 2 games. So you could say Wade Machine were very lucky that Gasol and Eyebrow only played 4 games in total this round.
The Jug O Naughts (3-1) 1341 defeated Team Anthak (2-2) 1203
This match went down to the very last day whereby the Jug O Naughts were able to outscore Anthak by 116 to get the win. Anthak played 2 less games and Iggy going down on the weekend did not help things either. But worse was to come for Fez with Rose injuring his other knee and is now out for the season. The best players for Fez were LMA with (215/4), DMC (201/4) and Z Bo (151/3). For Anthak the leading scorers were Nene (161/4), Carmelo (148/3) and Rubio (148/4).
Westside Hardcore (3-1) 1417 defeated Heaver (3-1) 1363
This was the closest match of the round and went down to the final day as well. Unfortunately for Heaver he was hit hard by Westbrook being rested, Kanter being benched and the Beard missing a few games. On the other side, Westside was hit hard by the injuries to Lopez and Everybody Loves Raymond. So it really was a battle of last man standing. The leading scorers for Westside were CP3 with (300/5), followed by Wes Matthews (166/4) and Batum (162/4). This was the first loss for the season for Heaver and Teague led the way with (150/4), next best were T Jones (142/3) and McBob (142/4).
Division One
Crossy Crusaders (1-3) 1277 def by Team Stowie (4-0) 1351
For the second week in a row Team Stowie has waited til the last day to take the lead and go on and win. Their scoring was paced by The Brow (141 / 2) and Mike Conley (133 / 3). Crossy used all five acquisitions early in the matchup limiting options later in the week. Dame Lillard (174 / 4) and Dre Drummond (169 / 4) provided most points for Crossy.
Laino's Nuggets (2-2) 1189 def by Mookie Blaylock Athletic Club (3-1) 1634
MBAC, the highest scoring team in Division 1, stuck to their game plan racking up big numbers again in a win the Nuggets. Blake (254 / 5), Wall (248 / 4) and KLove (211 / 4) all made double centuries and show no signs of slowing down. Dirk (207 / 4) and RoLo (145 / 4) paced the Nuggets who struggled with the Thad Young and BroLo only contributing one game total for the matchup.
Cyril33s Crushers (0-4) 1298 def by Fudge Fudge (2-2) 1618
Fudge and Lebron (144 / 3) are getting their season going after a slow start. LMA (215 / 4) had a big week with Gerald Henderson (148 / 4) and Rubio (148 / 4) also delivering. The Crushers had a horror week with injuries to AI2 (82 / 3) and 1st round pick, DRose (81 / 3) derailing their first season in Division 1. This left the scoring up to Batum (162 / 4), Demarre Carroll (134 / 4) and James Anderson (130 / 4).
Liquid's Sixers (0-4) 1310 def by Adelaide Maggots (1-3) 1595
The Maggots picked up win number one against a slumping Sixers team craving the return of Kobe. Leading for the Maggots were recent pickup Martell Webster (162 / 4) and the big Aussie Andrew Bogut (159 / 4) as seven other players hit the tonne (with two more in the high ninties!) in a dominant display. The ever reliable KD (178 / 3) led for the Sixers with Dragic (169 / 4) also picking up the scoring pace while Bledsoe continues to miss games for the Suns and L6.
Broady Broncos (2-2) 1340 def by CK Nicks (3-1) 1622
CK Nicks did what most probably thought wasn't possible at the start of the week, taking down CP3 (300 / 5) and the Brocos. DWade (53 / 1) and Hawesome (160 / 3) missing games helped the Nicks cause while a the Broncos trio of Raptors only played twice each. The volitile DMC (201 / 4) led for the Nicks with PG24 (175 / 3) showing plenty as ten players in total hit triple figures during the matchup for the Nicks.
Travys Boys (3-1) 1127 def by The Raptors (3-1) 1411
Rounding out a home team domination were The Raptors who handed Travys Boys their first loss of the season. Monta (228 / 4) looks like a perfect fit at the Mavs, while rookie sensation MCW (162 / 3) returned from injury and picked up right where he left off. Travys Boys were another side struggling with injuries this week as MGasol (127 / 3) looks to be out for a while and DWill (4 / 1) is struggling to stay on the court. Z-Bo (151 / 3) led the scoring for the Boys.
Week 5 Matchups
Team Stowie (4-0) at Mookie Blaylock Athletic Club (3-1)
Fudge Fudge (2-2) at Crossy Crusaders (1-3)
Cyril33s Crushers (0-4) at Laino's Nuggets (2-2)
Adelaide Maggots (1-3) at CK Nicks (3-1)
The Raptors (3-1) at Liquid's Sixers (0-4)
Travys Boys (3-1) at Broady Broncos (2-2)
Division Two
What a week it was in Division 2! Both winless teams notched up their first victory, the game between the two undefeated teams came down to the last quarter of the last game, and all games were close except for 1 blow-out! There was again one trade this week with the Paky Ballers trading Nicolas Batum to Six Ten Two Forty for Terrence Jones, Gerald Henderson & Trevor Ariza. Also, the Adelaide Celtics will have to use that wire after the unfortunate news of Derrick Rose being out for the rest of the season.
Results were as follows:
Bokoshe Broken Arrows (3-0) - 1547 def Biggest Losers (3-0) - 1532
What an epic battle between the 2 undefeated teams with the result coming down to Jordan Hill needing 7 points in the final quarter to secure victory for the Arrows. Hill went on to score 22 in the last and the Arrows won this one by just 15 points. The Losers management were not happy with the late withdrawals of Hawes and Harden on Sunday which cost the team the W but there is no ‘I' in team and the Losers will look to bounce back next week. The Arrows are playing well and sit alone at the top of the rankings as the only undefeated team. GM Brett T would have to be mighty pleased. Games played were in the Losers favour 45-43 which shows how well the Arrows played.
Top performers for each team were:
Bokoshe Broken Arrows: Paul George - 175/3
Damian Lillard - 174/4
Nene - 161/4
Biggest Losers: Spencer Hawes - 160/3
Anthony Davis - 141/2
Chandler Parsons - 139/2
The Hinrich Manoeuvre (1-2) - 1366 def Manimal Love Favors (1-2) - 1337
THM had a massive come from behind victory scoring 104-62 In the last days play to win this match up by a mere 29 points. GM Woodford would have to be mighty impressed with this victory, moving his record to 0.500%. The Favors would be cursing Eric Bledsoe in particular who was DTD but ended up sitting out the entire week. THM also have some injury worries of their own with three players sporting the dreaded ‘O' (Young, Butler and Felton). Massive week for Chris Paul totalling 300 points. Games played were in the Favors favour 41-39 making the victory even more sweet for THM.
Top performers for each team were:
The Hinrich Manoeuvre: Chris Paul - 300/5
Dwight Howard - 158/3
Evan Turner - 152/4
Manimal Love Favors: Kevin Love - 211/4
Andre Drummond - 169/4
Robin Lopez - 145/4
Brisbane Average Joes (0-3) - 1152 def Smokin Joe Misiti (1-2) - 1010
The Average Joes broke through for their first win of the season with a 100+ point victory over SJM. This was a great victory for the Joes as it was done without using the waiver wire once compared to SJM who used their full 5 acquisitions. Games played were 38-34 in the favour of SJM which goes with the trend so far this round. SJM will be looking forward to the return of injured stars Kobe Bryant and Deron Williams.
Top performers for each team were:
Brisbane Average Joes: Monta Ellis - 228/4
Mike Conley - 133/3
Kyrie Irving - 119/3
Smokin Joe Misiti: Kevin Martin - 151/4
Marcin Gortat - 137/4
Stephen Curry - 110/2
Six Ten Two Forty (2-1) - 1461 def Paky Ballers (1-2) - 1369
610-240 made it 2 wins in a row with a close victory over the Ballers. This was a to-and-fro contest with a number of lead changes with the Ballers falling short on the last day of the week. This match-up was made all the more interesting as it was between the 2 teams that featured in the trade mentioned above with all players involved playing games for both teams. Games played was in the Ballers favour 47-42. What's with the team playing less games winning this week?
Top performers for each team were:
Six Ten Two Forty: Blake Griffin - 254/5
Bradley Beal - 165/4
LeBron James - 144/3
Paky Ballers: Kevin Durant - 178/3
Corey Brewer - 151/4
Greg Monroe - 137/4
Peg's Men Lethal (2-1) - 1595 def Doobia Dominators (2-1) - 1218
In the most lop-sided game of the week, the Lethal's laid the smack down on the Dominators by over 375 points. Victories may be few and far between from here on in for the Lethal's with Marc Gasol out for an extended period of time so this win was very important for GM Walles. GM Doobs would not have been happy with the play of Tony Allen, scoring a -1 in 1 game. Needless to say Tony now finds himself on the waiver wire. Games played was 41-39, bucking the trend for the week.
Top performers for each team were:
Peg's Men Lethal: Dirk Nowitzki - 207/4
DeMarcus Cousins - 201/4
Zach Randolph - 151/3
Doobia Dominators: LaMarcus Aldridge - 215/4
Wesley Matthews - 166/4
Carmelo Anthony - 148/3
Adelaide Celtics (0-3) - 1350 def Nahla vs Little Dee (2-1) - 1294
The Adelaide Celtics notched up their first victory with a close win over Little Dee. This was a great victory for GM Cover after hearing the loss of his star player and 1st round draft pick, Derrick Rose. Rose will miss the rest of the season and will either sit on the Celtics bench doing his best towel-waving impression of Brian Scalabrine or end up on the waiver wire. Games played was in the Celtics favour 45-41 even though GM Rodgerson used the full 5 transactions available to Little Dee.
Top performers for each team were:
Adelaide Celtics: Martell Webster - 162/4
Isaiah Thomas - 146/4
Josh McRoberts - 142/4
Nahla Vs Little Dee: John Wall - 248/4
Andrew Bogut - 159/4
Brandon Jennings - 129/4
Match-ups for week 5 as follows:
The Hinrich Manoeuvre (2-2) vs Biggest Losers (3-1)
Brisbane Average Joes (1-3) vs Manimal Love Favors (1-3)
Smokin Joe Misiti (1-3) vs Bokoshe Broken Arrows (4-0)
Six Ten Two Forty (3-1) vs Peg's Men Lethal (3-1)
Adelaide Celtics (1-3) vs Paky Ballers (1-3)
Nahla vs Little Dee (2-2) vs Doobia Dominators (2-2)
Division Three
<div>
San Diego Anchormen (1-3) 1521 d Wafty Boxes (2-2) 1436
<div>
<div>
Breaking the duck on the back of a huge 300/5 from CP3 and ably assisted by Batum 162/4 and ETurner 152/4, The Anchormen were too classy for the Boxes with only Dragic 169/4 and LBJ 144/3 offering up decent contributions.
<div>
<div>
Rusty Buckets (3-1) 1457 d Let's Go Lillard (1-3) 1297
<div>
<div>
D12 stepped up with 158/3 and joined forces with Drummond 169/4 and Gerald Green 150/4 to lead the Rusty Buckets to a snappy victory over Let's Go Lillard despite solid weeks from KLove 211/4, Lillard 174/4 and Wes Matthews 166/4.
<div>
<div>
Nettin Blatche (2-2) 1503 d Team ThreePEAT (3-1) 1239
<div>
<div>
Pop! Went the ThreePEAT bubble and Roses knee all at once as Bogeyman 159/4 was the only resistance offered against Nettin Blatche and big weeks from Griifin 254/5, The Schnitzel 207/4, JoeJohnson 161/4 and Nene 161/4. ThreePEAT is just praying Rose gets the knee cleaned out instead of having the meniscus reattached.
<div>
<div>
Dirty Hawes (3-1) 1661 d Run T-Mull-C (0-4) 1209
<div>
<div>
The hottest team in the League was too strong for the team that now remains the only squad without a W. Monta 228/4,KD 178/3 andHawes 160/3 were way too strong for Run T-Mull-C despite some form from LaMarcus 215/4, Beal 165/5 and K-Mart 151/4.
<div>
<div>
Team Minis (3-1) 1342 d Team ElBonz (3-1) 1305
<div>
<div>
The Minis knocked off the undefeated ElBonz despite Melo 148/3 being the only player close to the 150 mark. 201/4 from DeMarcus and 150/4 from Teague was not enough from ElBonz
<div>
<div>
Shep's Superstars (2-2) 1439 d Big Shot Bob (1-3) 1211
<div>
<div>
248/4 from Wall and a welcome return of 162/4 from MKW was enough to bring home the bacon over a struggling BSB. PGeorge 175/3, Webster 162/4 and ZBo 151/3 offered the greatest resistance. Just not enough.
<div>
<div>
<div>
Notes:
<div>
No teams undefeated and one team (Run T-Mull-C) without a victory.
<div>
Dirty Hawes are leading the league in points (2598) and running hot.
