I know Im starting to sound like a broken record but, damn this one close league! With only two rounds to go no one is certain to make the play offs and only a few teams a out of it all together. Top spot got knocked off again and in the West the top 4 teams are seperated by a game and points for only and in the East the top three teams are also only separated by PF. The last two playoff spots are certain to be decided by PF and with some of the scores lately its still pretty open.
In the NFL this week the Patriots beat modern day rivals, the Colts, the Bills won their second game for the year, the packers smashed the Vikings, the Steelers belted the Raiders and the eagles held out the Giants in a fumble fest, but the biggest story was the miraculous victory by the Jets at the death. Mark Sanchez led his men up the field 85 yards in less than a minute snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Santonio Holmes getting on the end of an amazing final drive and catching the winning pass for an impossible touchdown. Also Randy Moss continues to suck it up, no catches again this week. Well, time for the league review
<!--more-->First game, well start with the biggest score of the round, going to AUSSIE BATTLERS (e) as they beat SAM CROW (w) 143-71.  ABs had two players score in the 30s, led by Steve Johnson with 31.  This huge score includes a big fat 0 from the TE, making it even more impressive.  Sam Crow fell victim to fumble fest with Bradshaw fumbling all over the place to land him a zero too.  The win takes the ABs to top of the east conference with a couple of  big games to finish the season.
The second match up was the biggest game of the round with the winner to take top spot in the West. Â The eventual winner was THE PACK (w) as he knocked off top place BOLDIN SHOWERS (w) 121-87. Â The Pack extended his winning streak to four straight, the best of anyone at this present time and resigned BS to their second straight loss and down to second on the ladder. Â The Pack was helped along with four scores of 23, as he snatched top spot in the west.
Third up was a flogging as UNDER ACHIEVERS (w) beat competition easy-beats DOOBIA DOOBS (w) 119-54. Â Nothing particularly interesting happened in the match-up except maybe the QB shootout with Sanchez for UAs scoring 25 and Drew Brees just outscoring him with 27. Â This keeps UAs only a game off the leaders with the next two weeks seeing him take on both of them, leaving his fate firmly in his own hands (as much as possible in fantasy).
Next up saw TEAM STOWIE (e), leader in the east go down in a high scoring affair to ADELAIDE MAGGOTS (e) 115-101. Â It was Greg Jennings for the Maggots that was the shining light with 33 points. This win keeps the very slim hopes of the Maggots season alive and tightens up the east even further with three teams all sitting on 6&5 with no easy games for any of them in the next two weeks. Â Maggots are going to need two massive scores to finish the season to make playoffs but in this league anything can happen.
Finally it was my boys, MR WIGGLES (e) taking on Walesys TOOSERIOUSESES (e). This was a close fought battle, being decided by only 3 points in the end. It was definitely not a day for the tight ends, neither being able to score a single point, and despite the TSes having the two highest scorers for the match-up, it was myself that won out 89-86. The win gives me a decent shot at playoffs, being separated from the top two by PF only. It should be a great final two rounds to decide who goes through.
Well, thats about it. I know as I finally get this posted that the next round has already started due to the Thanksgiving day holiday, and for those that missed the games, the Patriots finally got going at half time to put the Texans away, Brady finishing with a perfect rating and a pretty handy 29 points for me. With two rounds to play, its going to be a big finish. I (Wiggles) play both the teams above me on the ladder, which means my fate rests in my hands and most other top teams play at least one other team vying for a playoff berth. So here we go!
