Well, last week got away from me and so I will combine both weeks in one review. Ill try to keep it brief. Week 6 in the NFL was a close round, with no less than 8 games being decided by a touchdown or less and 2 of those going into OT. The Pats held their nerve and ground out an OT win to keep their streak of wins after the bye going, now up to 6. The other big news was the Cowboys were beaten again, taking their season to 1-4 and leaving them on the brink. This is big news because they are hosting the superbowl this year in their huge new stadium and were desperate to be there for the big dance. If you dont know about the stadium check it out, it has the worlds biggest TV and the players race runs right through a members bar, just to name a few features

Week 7 also had a couple of interesting match-ups, most notably Brett Favre playing against the team which he won the Superbowl with. His time lost in controversial circumstances and he hobbled away with two fractures to his ankle. The Pats won again! Overall there was seven games decided by less than a touchdown and plenty of controversy all over the place. This is a game in which the rules dont allow for grey areas and to us Aussies it can seem a little harsh sometimes, (surely the Vikings reciever caught that, right?)...anyways the league looks like this

Week 6, BOLDIN SHOWERS beat Walesys men, TOO SERIOUSESES and claimed the soul leader status in what is turning out to be a tight comp. No real individual standouts, in fact there were so many single digit scores its not funny. It was just one of those weeks, no one scored 100.

SAM CROW beat ADELAIDE MAGGOTS 91-78, putting AMs on the brink of season collapse. Interestingly it was Kevin Kolb that was the high scorer in this game. It was only a few weeks ago that it looked like his job had been pinched by Michael Vick for the year.

Last week I said things were looking shaky at the top of the east conference and the east leader TEAM STOWIE were done by THE PACK 86-79. The pack was dominant in the RB positions taking big points here and despite having a poor week from his WRs it was enough to take the chocolates.

Another low scoring affair between AUSSIE BATTLERS and UNDER ACIEVERS 78-63, with the Battlers getting home largely due to QB Aaron Rodgers giving him 21 alone. The opposing QB however had a shocker and could only muster 7 points, and with a top score of only 13 from Peterson it was always uphill for the UAs.

Lastly my boys, MR WIGGLES took on cellar dwellers DOOBIA DOOBS. this game went into the Tuesday game to seal a victory for me 84-79. It was looking pretty shaky for me for a while but a big 3rd quarter address got my boys over the line, but Tom Brady continues to play hide and seek on the field and is not the three-time superbowl winning QB I was hoping for.

Week 7 saw BOLDIN SHOWERS continue his winning ways, getting up over the ADELAIDE MAGGOTS 99-91. It was a close run thing with Eli Manning stepping in at QB for brother Peyton who had the bye and top scoring for the BS with 22. It was a solid week for BS with only 3 scores in single digits but he did leave 23 points sitting on his bench, but who hasnt done that?

AUSSIE BATTLERS cracked the ton and easily accounted for bottom placed DOOBIA DOOBS 102-52. That is probably season over for Doobs, but I have been wrong before. A healthy score from ABs sees him go to 4&3 and a tie for the lead in the East. The East is a hotly contested conference with 3 guys all on 4&3 and it will be tight to get those last two playoff spots.

TEAM STOWIE continued his downward spiral losing to SAM CROW 71-94. It was Roddy White (love that name) who starred for Sam with 32 points. This moves Sam Crow up into a tie for second in the west and Team Stowie falls out of first place for the first time in a few weeks.

UNDER ACHIEVERS returned to the winners circle after a closely fought affair with TOO SERIOUSESES 84-80. Despite getting a -3 from Mike Thomas it was overshadowed by having 3 players score 20 or more, a nice effort that. Walesy now has two losses on the trot and will quickly need to turn things around against bottom placed Doobia Doobs next week.

Finally my boys MR WIGGLES scored a nice even 100 to get over THE PACK 91. After the Saints, who were predicted to score a reasonable 9 had a shocker and returned -3 I was feeling like it was all over. But to my rescue came Darren McFadden, otherwise known as RUN DMC, and boy did he run. He scored 3 Touchdowns and ran 165 yards on his way to a league high 43 points, thats my man!

So thats about it. Im spent. Ive had a quick look and there are some pretty big games next week so make sure those teams are finalised, so hit the waiver boys. Till next week...
