Welcome to Week 2 roundup.  It was an absolute edge of your seat round with a measly 8 points being the biggest winning margin!  To make things even more interesting, only Stowie was able to back up last weeks win with another this week.  So, what does that all mean?  It means, this is one damn close league.  Anyways, without further delay onto the review.<!--more-->

The tightest game of the round was decided by only a solitary point 93-92.  DOOBIA DOOBS(west) getting up over a valiant THE PACK(west), although Doobs kept Beanie Wells on the starting roster for the second week, despite him being injured. This game was decided in the last 2 minutes of the round with Brees final drive up the field securing the win.  It was mighty unlucky The Pack left Jahvid Best on the bench only for him to put up a massive 40 points, the best (pardon the pun) of the round.

Next up saw UNDER ACHIEVERS(w) face off against SAM CROW(w), and come up victorious by 2 whole points.  This was billed as the battle of the draft and UAs were helped along by Peterson putting 24 big ones and repaying some of the faith shown in him which saw him go at #2 in the draft.  On the Flip side, however it was Crow who was holding the #1 pick and did he put in a shocker, Johnson managing only 2.  If youre looking to trade him out and teach him a lesson, Im willing to talk, hehe.

Third game up had BOLDIN SHOWERS(w) come up short to a league-high scoring AUSSIE BATTLERS(e) 94-89.  I have to admit when I was watching Peyton Manning in Manning Bowl put on a clinic for his bro Eli I thought the Battlers had no chance.  Who would of thought ABs own QB, A. Rodgers would end up outscoring him and combined with LeSean McCoy putting up 30, post the best score in the league.  Thems the breaks I guess.

Now for one of the most disappointing days of the season.  Not only did the Pats suck hard but my boys MR WIGGLES(e) went down to Walesys TOO SERIOUSESES(e).  I thought for a moment that I might just hold on there, as the Saints were marching home! (with any luck a similar result will pan out on Saturday).  That was until Reggie Bush went down with a leg injury early in the second half.  Walesy was helped along with a standout performance from Schaub as he led the Texans to an overtime victory over washington.  Those O/Ts really can be a bonus with Schaub picking up about 4 points in that time.  The only real concern for the TSs was draft pick #5 MJD putting in another stinker, just 2.

The final game saw TEAM STOWIE(e) blow away the ADELIADE MAGGOTS(e) by a huge 8 points.  No real standout individual brilliance in this one but one performance did catch the eye.  Brett Favre looked every day of his 40 years, throwing 3 picks and no TDs and is surely starting to worry the maggots, time to hit the trade table me thinks.  However this win was enough to see Stowie rocket to the top of the standings with the only perfect record for the season and conversely send the Maggots to the cellar without a win so far.

So, thats about it for the wrap, but I thought I just might mention just how crazy the NFL is in comparison to the Cotton-wool wrapped AFL.  This weekend saw a fella by the name of Michael Vick become the 1st choice QB only a year or so after leaving jail for running a dog fighting ring, and here we were worried about the likes of Ben Cousins.  On a sadder note the Denver Broncos are dealing with the suicide of one of their younger players on the weekend, and finally a high-school kid died during a game but the game was played out anyway, much to the disgust of most who heard about it.  Makes the problems of Fevs antics at the Brownlow a year ago seem pretty insignificant!

Anyway, sorry to bring down the feel a little bit but It does put things in perspective.  Feel free to drop a post below about anything above.  Also Im looking for a decent running back if anyone wants to make me an offer, so till next week, happy trading.
