Completely offtopic, and I'm sure that nobody needs me filling them in on what's going on with our friends from across the pond but I just thought I'd put it out there - if anyone wanted to help out, the Australian Red Cross has started up a relief fund.

    You can donate here.

    Thanks for the link, Jo.

It's a strange world we live in as of late. From the volcanoes and snow storms in the northern hemisphere at the end of 2010, to the bush fires, floods, earthquakes and cyclones in the south.

Thoughts and prayers to all of those affected.

As some of you may know, I work as a journo for a mob called Our Community, which work closely with community groups and not-for-profits across Australia.

One of the things we have is a free online donations service (via a sister site GiveNow.com.au) for groups to attract funds through. Normally setting up something like this can be expensive, but we do it for nix, and the credit card surcharges are zippo too (as opposed to some of the higher charges through other schemes)

By the by - we've got this set up -
    http://www.givenow.com.au/otherways/emergency

which will allow people to give to a variety of places in NZ to those who need it.

So if people want to give through there, safely and securely, they can.

    Thanks for the link, Chris.

Lucas - totally! La nina needs to calm the hell down and go on time out back to South America if she can't learn some manners...

My mums family are all kiwis, a fact I blame all of my blonde moments on. They're all up North but it's just kind of terrifying to think that something like this could happen to them at any time without warning.

On True Sainters we are running a raffle to help raise money for the NZ Earthquake. In the past we have raised over $1500 for Diabetes Australia and $1200 for the Qld Floods so we thought it was time to turn our attention to our Kiwi neighbours.

Raffle tickets are $5 each with all money from ticket sales being donated. Prizes probably only interest Saints Fans though!!!

1st Prize: 1st Prize: Official NAB Cup Players Jumper (Tom Lynch)
2nd Prize: "Saints On A Mission" Canvas Print
3rd Prize: Hall Of Fame Inductees Print

Full details can be found here: http://z7.invisionfree.com/truesainters/index.php?showtopic=3631
