Here's my "ole man" whinge and it's got nothing to do with footy, but I just need to get it out there. I really have trouble accepting that Buddha gets first crack at the fruit my wife brings into the house. I have to wait til he decides he doesn't want it, usually one day later before I'm allowed to eat it.....
Time to whinge about the Chinese Football League CEO Gillon McLachlan making an absolute mess of bye planning and fantasy football. If we really had to have the Australian Football League playing games outside Australia, and then giving the teams a bye, why couldn't they atleast align the byes with the rest of the league? Surely this BS game could have been played in round 10 or 11 or 12, so that both teams could have a bye the next week that would just align with the rest of the leagues' byes.... surely!!! Way to f*ck everything up Gillon.
When the hell did Sicily get named for the Hawks? 3 goals to half time and not even in my team... bugger! I'm really sick of late changes. Too many coaches play funny buggers, naming players that don't have a chance of playing, then swapping at the last minute. I can understand why, but it sh!ts me that they keep doing it. Read more at http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/2017-round-by-round-chat.89801/page-17#orQqdtXqftdPQZVH.99 There's so much money in fantasy footy these days, and late changes can really make a difference. I know that the footy is the most important thing, but the fact is that money drives the world. So I think that coaches should start getting fined for late changes on players that were never getting up anyway! I don't know what the situation with Sicily was, but it shits me no end!!!!
could be a conspiracy - maybe someone had money on him kicking a few goals and got good odds because he wasn't named???? oooooh. Mind. Blown.
If we're going to give away 50m penalties for not returning the ball to a player after a free kick, then surely we have to look at penalising a player for calling for the ball and then doing his *best* Neo impersonation when the ball is returned to him. Even if he wasn't due the ball, which occurs quite regularly (can't name examples, but many a time the ball gets returned to the teammate of a free kick recipient without penalty, especially when the recipient isn't looking at the ball), he can't then pretend that he didn't ask for it (you play professional AFL Nick, there's cameras friggin everywhere - did you really think no-one would notice???) I'd put him up on MRP report for dishonest conduct, and if there's no such charge, then we better bloody-well make one! It wouldn't be the first AFL rule change during a season... Even as an Eagles fan, happy to see the Dockers lose another game, I'm livid that this kind of thing happens, and is allowed to happen. Last week it was Clayton Oliver pretending that The Hulk had just belted him across the face and chest, this week its Nick Riewoldt living out his 12y/o acting fantasies. These kinds of things should be banned, and heavily penalised. VERY HEAVILY penalised!
I have an "OLD MAN WHINGE" to vent on as well and it's to do with a lack of match reports by a minority of ORFFU coaches. I have just researched all our rounds and there's a couple of coaches who have failed to lodge any Match Reports, when the Home team, up to Rd11 , not taking into account the round just completed. I can understand real life getting in the way occasionally and a report is the last thing that needs doing, but to not post 1 Report, is taking the mickey just a tad too far. I would dearly like to see a huge improvement here over the remaining rounds.....
