Iron Knob have had an incredible first half of the season, and are now rightly premiership favourites. A dominate midfield led by Ablett and Griffen has been on full display so far this year, and they will be looking to continue their form to ensure a home final. They have only had one slip up back in round 5 when they ran into a fierce Mount Beauty. Coming into the break with a thumping win over Birdsville sends a strong message to the rest of the competition.

The preseason favourites haven't disappointed. They had what looked like a major slip in in the first two rounds, but they turned out to be against now first and third on the ladder. Since those, they have gone on to win the last 8 matches with some very consistent performances. It's a scary thought when you consider they still have Pav to come back and Joel Selwood yet to hit form.
