Well goodness me, here it is round 3 already and time to pay homage to the intellectually gifted but physically challenged types who seem to make up a fair percentage of our coaches.

    Marble Bar v Mt Beauty

Both teams fresh from wins last week and will be keen to consolidate . Cotch has been flying for Mt Beauty and faces a real test in the heat at Marble Bar.

    Charlies Opening v Iron Knob

Theres definitely a gag somewhere in a battle between a knob and an opening which I would have far too much class to point out. Except I think I just did.

Anyhoo both teams victorious last week and looking to go 2-1 with the coach of Charlies keen to do well in the round honouring his people.

    Mawson Base v Waikickamoocow

Both teams looking for a win after last week. Kiwis face perhaps the most inhospitable welcome in football down at the Freezer with a daytime high of -25 degrees and ten goal winds forecast for gameday. Penguin control barriers have been erected around the ground after unfortunate pre season practice match incidents.

    Cradle Mountain v Nunawading

The one good thing that will come out of this game is that one club will have a win on the board. For the loser - well at least you can probably look forward to some high draft picks 2013. Unless its a draw of course.

    Gundagai v Namatjira

The Mildura boys will be travelling (presumably all piled into a dodgy bongo van) to Gundagai this week to face the fifth placed Grasshoppers. Big Sandi v Nic Nat a ruck duel to savour in this one.

    Foul Bay v Gariwerd

The poultry men host the Grampian mob at the Coup, in what must be considered the toughest away game in the ORFFA currently. Is it the local odour of decomposing Gallus domesticus or the fact that the Chooks posted 1378 last week? Only time will tell.

    Venus Bay v Birdsville

The Vultures welcome the Battlers down at their seaside town. Venus Bay the quiet achievers so far, sitting in third at 2-0 without much fuss. Despite playing Josh Drummond. Birdsville looking to hold ground after coming down to earth last week.

    Far Kew v Whitsundays

The Warriors travel down to Far Kew where presumably the numerous WAGs associated with their team will be taking the opportunity to get their hair done.

Seriously, you will never see so many hairdressers in a single suburb. Which hasnt stopped the Frogs from winning their first two and hopping into fourth place.

    Powlett Plains v Darraweit Guim

An injury ravaged Packers will be buoyed by the return of Adam Cooney this week. They are certainly going to need to a huge effort to overcome the competition leaders who have gone from strength to strength in the last two weeks.

Dont forget - be nice to a nerd this weekend!
