A big round of matches this week with second against third and fourth against fifth. Bandits mob prove a bit too good for the Kiewa valley boys and the Protectors prove way too good for a frankly disappointing Penguins. The Pipi Diggers and the Guim confirm their spots within the eight and Whitsundays win two in a row.

Marble Bar 1041 lost to Darraweit Guim 1278
The Dirigibles with an important win away which sees them cement their spot in the eight. Not much joy for the Misfits in a match which sees none of their players over the ton.
Whitsundays 1251 defeated Powletts Plains 921
The Warriors take advantage of a yet again injury riddled Packers to make it back to back wins and more importantly - they did it without Juddy. Our ruminating Raptor must surely be thinking about sacking his entire medical staff, such have been the Packers woes on that front this season.
Birdsville 1144 lost to Far Kew 1269
The Frogs have been a strange sort of team this year. That midfield can pull out some big scores but they still lose some you would expect them to win. Not this week though, as Jack Grimes shows the way at Birdsville.
Gariwerd 1047 lost to Venus Bay 1240
Tough week for the Cockies, especially when Tippet knocks his coconut against Beau Waters iron bonce early doors. A good win for the Vultures which sees them move a game clear in seventh.
Namatjira 1243 lost to Foul Bay 1454
Have you ever seen those movies where the plucky underdog manages to scrap a win over a behemoth? Well in real life most often that behemoth wins and this match proved no different as Tucky picks up another 3 votes in the Chooks B & F. I dunno what the medical staff down there have been injecting him with before a game, but I bet its illegal to give it to racehorses.
(Does your B & F have a name, Chief?)
Waikiamoocow 1087 lost to Cradle Mountain 1324
The loss of Mitch Robinson before the bounce was always going to make it tough for the Kiwis against a honest team like the Devils. So it was to prove with Cyril leading the way in an important win for Cradle Mountain to stay in touch with the eight.
Iron Knob 1446 defeated Mawson Base 1159
Going from -40 degrees to 25 proving a bit too much for the Antarticans and especially for LT as the Penguins put in a performance that can only be described as tired. Iron Knob consolidating second spot with a big win that sees the Codpieces travelling very nicely indeed.
Mount Beauty 1144 lost to Charlies Opening 1216
One of the better games of the round in the shadow of Mount Bogong, with Dishie and Stephen Hill doing the job when it counted. The Spelunkers back in the top four and coming good at the right end of the season.
Nunawading 0 lost to Gundagai 1337
The Nuffers fail to make it to their own home game after a police incident with the fundraising committee sees their entire squad detained to help police with their enquiries.
