/Portals/0/User%20Images/naidoc01.jpg This round is kind of special for the multi-cultural Whitsunday Warriors, being one of only two island teams in the ORFFA. Might have to kill a pig. For those scratching their beards, it means [span style='color: #31859b;]National Aboriginies and Islanders Day Observance Committee. Now don't you be blaming me, that is the way they spell aborigines and if they want to take a whole week to observe a 'day', that's their business. Our job, as ORFFA Observance Committee, is to check out the talent for next year's draft. I baggsies that goanna. /Portals/0/User%20Images/naidoc.gif Warning: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are warned that this forum may contain images of deceased people. Kozzie, Zac, etc.

This week the Dirigibles are welcoming our friends from Gundagai for a visit. We extend them a hearty hello. We haven't bothered watering The Paddock this week, as it is under a couple of centimetres of permifrost after the recent sub-zero temperatures the Guim has experienced. Our forwardline has been practicing kicking at goal whilst wearing cross-country skis. Michael Walters has, thus far, snapped 3 skis and punctured two footballs. Hoping for big things out of our forwards this week after a couple of down weeks. Walters, Shane Edwards and Eddie Betts have had this weekend marked on their calendars for a while (given their Indigenous heritage) and are setting themselves for a big game. Hopefully the return of big Ivan from a couple of weeks rest will offset the loss of Justin Westhoff and Luke McPharlin.

Waite's a shame, Enright being managed one suspects and hopefully Sewell will take that as the wakeup call he was due, Tomlinson the victim of his own stupidity.

Mumford) Fwd: Bartel, Stokes, Pavlich, Hawkins (Emg: L.Adams) I/C: Judd, McLean Hawkins very lucky to hold his place this week and Mumford very unlucky not to be in the side given he plays GWS. Would like to see one more good game from Adams or Dahlhaus before I can trust them again. Backing Pav to back up for a second week in a row and giving the young kid Murdoch a go in the backline this week. Was encouraged by his performance last week. This of course means that he will cop a vest judging by the way we have selected our team this year.

I think we could do that in season 1, but I'm not sure what happens if they are called on... ?

The Nunawading Nuffers wish to advise they are very annoyed with one D Jolly. Since joining the club he is yet to trouble the stats men. Equally annoying is the fact that Ben Hudson, whom made way for the decidedly unJolly (because Jolly was keeping him out), has played every week since being delisted. Mitchell (I Smith) R: Jacobs F: Elliott, Podsiadly, Wright, Macaffer (Robinson) I/C: Ziebell, Crouch (T Logan) Tom Logan named for the first time - best of luck fella. Had hopes that Nick Graham would get a run given carlton's uninspired recent form but Mick (apparently) knows best. Sad to see Hamish McIntosh out for, perhaps, the rest of the year. Hopefully he will be back injury free for the 2014 season to give Sauce the incentive needed to remove digit.
