Spelunkers team to take on the Knobs of Iron... taken a hit this week losing both Short and Fritsch, time for some of the fringe players to step up
Happy NAIDOC week, and a shoutout to Gariwerd Cockatoos Aboriginal players: Chad Wingard Ngarrindjeri, Jamaine Jones Barkandji, & Harry Rowston Wiradjuri. Hopefully we can give a couple of you a game this weekend!
Have most definitely realised that the Nuffers have been getting by on barely 18-20 players each week this year, and have had a blessed run with injury and form. This however may have changed this week unless a couple of people return from injury or are late inclusions. Have 9-10 players who have either not played, or only played 1-2 games this season (mainly as sub). Great for the future given these guys are mainly youngsters, but a horrible position for future list management decisions.
Saved my team but will put it here too. DEF Idun, Richards, Clark, Redman MID Gulden, Serong, Rowell, Horne Francis RUCK Miller FWD Cameron, Marshall, Amiss, Coleman Jones IC Ross, Murphy
Cradle Mountain Round 13 team for their away game against @Chris88’s Nuffers. Out: D Lloyd (omitted) In: D Zorko Def: N Vlastuin 87, J Lever, D Heppell, J Bowey (R Fox) Mid: J Steele, S Pendlebury, J Hopper 88, R Ginbey (J Gresham) Ruc: T English Fwd: D Zorko, A Naughton, L Murphy, D Butler (D Lloyd) Int: R Marshall, T Nankervis 108 (J Laverde) Bold = Played on Thursday night At this early stage the eighth placed Devils are 283/3 Average 94.3 and trail The fourth placed Nuffers 294/3 Average 96.0.
After last night's game I reckon the Devils may have their whiskered noses in front given English, Naughton and Pendles did well. Richards did enough for the Nuffers and Murphy had a season best game to keep it close. Just reckon your mob might have a smidge more depth right now, @dmandrews . But hopefully it's a close one.
Yes @chris88 you are right, the Devils had a narrow lead over the Nuffers after Friday night. The Devils having 22 players available for selection compared to just 15 for the Nuffers was a significant factor in CMD gaining the ascendancy yesterday. At the end of Saturday night The Nuffers at home are 834/10 Average 83.4 and trail Cradle Mountain 1,221/13 Average 93.9 Narrewillock players in action today are Caleb Serong, Mason Redman, Jye Amiss, Callum Coleman-Jones and Jordan Clark. The combined average of these five players in 2023 is 394 putting the Nuffers on track for around 1,228. Seven of the 10 Nuffers to take the field so far have scored at least 85 including Ed Richards in his return from injury. Hopefully some more Narrewillock players return in the next week or two to enable the Nuffers to be closer to full strength in the run to the finals. Cradle Mountain failed to reach 1,228 in their previous five games from Round 8 to Round 12. With their position in the top eight under threat the Devils have found a couple of extra gears to be 1,221/13 with Dyson Heppell and Lachlan Murphy still to take the field today. After losing three consecutive games from Round 10 to Round 12 CMD's much improved Round 13 performance has them poised to return to the winners list.
Yeah, with a full team guys like Callum Coleman Jones wouldn't be getting a game. 18 in 3 quarters, yuck. Hopefully I get three guys back next week so the likes of CCJ can be dropped.
Hey Guys, can I get some help please End of round 11 the Uglies were 7 & 4, has there been 2 rounds since? Couldn't seem to find scores or ladder update on the usual link. I shall forgive any bad news (just this once )
@HeavyMen all I can suggest is go to the link below which should take you to round 18 and then click on the back icon to the left of the 18 to move back in the rounds. Hope that helps amigo http://tooserious.net/forum/tsLeagues.php?leagueId=2
Why couldn't I have been against the Grasshoppers in round 13, when I scored a lazy 1522, instead of having them in round 14. I wont score that again.
Thanks Graeme, dunno why I didn't get to that before but it's all there in black & white. And...Hey,hey, hey two wins & top 4 now I believe. Any truth in the rumour Bama is being sequested (word?) by the AFL to take the Gold Coast Suns job? Doubt he'd take it on moral grounds, given they royally fucked Dew! Gotta love the ORFFA
Below is a link to the ORFFA Round 13 review. http://tooserious.net/forum/threads/orffa-review-for-round-13-of-the-2023-season.91435/#post-245017 Apologies for the Round 13 review being so late. I had more real life stuff to attend to than in a typical week. Having said that I should have adapted to the conditions and written a shorter review which could have been posted in a more timely manner.
