ORFFA Round 14/AFL Round 18 Thursday 13th July

    THEME – ORFFA Literature Round

Book learnin’ has no place in the ORFFA, unless it is proper type literature book learnin’ during proper type ORFFA Literature Round. So this week let’s celebrate our favourite authors and pieces of high-concept literature.

Or, alternatively, let’s just shell out $37 for the AFL Football Record.

Charlies Opening Spelunkers v Whitsunday Warriors
Wineglass Bay Packers v Waikikamoocow Incorrigibles
Birdsville Battlers v Wagga Wagga Wombats
Cradle Mountain Devils v Venus Bay Vultures
Dunsborough Dung Beetles v Nareewillock Nuffers
Foul Bay Chickens v Mt Beauty Uglies
Gariwerd Cockatoos v Marble Bar Misfits
Gundagai Grasshoppers v Lovely Banks Lilacs
Iron Knob Codpieces v Larrikin Lagoon Lefties

Provisional Spelunkers Team that will be reviewed after teams are announced tonight. Looking forward to our match against the Warriors. @Len is picking the Warriors team this week to avoid any possible conflict of interest :D upload_2023-7-13_7-38-48.png

In terms of literature, I am eagerly waiting for this little gem to be delivered early next week.... love reading about all things high performance and leadership from professional sport.

I was just setting up my team for the round, but all the players are now locked and it wouldn’t save my new lineup… about 7 hours before the first game

Since TS is locked, here are my players for tonight's game - I have had to edit this post, Tom Hickey has been dropped, so I am taking him out of the RUC and I will replace him with Rhys Stanley, which I will have to name him in the EMG as I wont be able to remove Hickey tomorrow as the game will have been played already.

    DEF -
    MID -
    RUC -
FWD - Hayden McLean, Isaac Heeney
    INT -

    For tonight:
    D: Bailey Williams
    I: Braeden Campbell, Tom Papley

As to literature. This book has helped me deal with SC, TS and FA people. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

I think I'll be naming Errol Gulden as a mid and Ed Richards as a defender - I did some version of my team yesterday and it is saved, but if I can't make changes before the game then I'll leave a couple of intended inclusions here.

Literature might be a stretch but, given my last few weeks at work, let's go with

As for the footy, from tonight's game I'd just want to put Josh Battle in as the defensive emergency and Logan McDonald as the forward emergency.

Team appears to be in but I'll put it here anyway, given I have guys named on extended interchanges and I won't be able to make changes this evening due to Rep coaching commitments. I do have more fit ruckmen than I do midfielders, however. :(

D: Redman, Richards (already played), Idun, Clark
M: Rowell, Ross, Gulden (already played), Coleman-Jones (OOP)
    R: Soldo
F: Daniels, Cameron, Marshall, Ryan (e: Amiss)
    I/C: Miller, Murphy

If Coleman-Jones isn't named, I'll probably move Amiss into the midfield as an OOP instead.

A miracle has occurred - Wehr is a late in for GWS and hence for the Nuffers. Coleman-Jones makes way.
