Well it is time for the Whits and the Waikiks to let bygones be bygones and concentrate on the quality of the coffee being delivered in the Tiki Bar by Chelsea. I think you may be correct on that one - The Guim have been pretty lucky with their draw, so can't complain at all. Hopefully we don't embarrass ourselves!

I don't mean to be petty, but considering this round is in her honour... do you think we could feature some pix of her loveliness ? Unless of course TiB has exclusive use and publishing rights of said imagery.

Longer than normal match comittee meeting this week following the Chooks unacceptable display last weekend. Coach and all round Grand Poobah Chief Russell met with the media following the teams final training session, still visibly angry with his team. 'We have been really disappointed with the application of the playing group over the last few weeks. The discipline of the playing group, especially from senior players such as Matthew (Pavlich) and Jimmy (Bartel) has been unacceptable and the midfield has let itself down over the last few weeks leaving everything to Joel (Selwood) and Libba.' When pressed about the disappointing returns about mid-season recruit Tom Hawkins, the Chief was equally forthright. 'Tom was a player that we had coveted since the clubs inception and we were rapt to finally get him to the club, even though it came at the cost of losing Josh Kennedy who we had been very patient with allowng him to rehab for all of 2012 who in turn rewarded us with a very good first half of the year. That being said, we need Hawk to perform a lot better than he has been currently to pay back the faith we have shown him. We know he is not 100% at the moment, but we have high standards as a club, so unfortunately for Tom, he is going to have to go back to the twos to find some form. Chief Russell also flagged some surprising inclusions, ones that could be playing for their careers. 'We think we will be bringing Patch and Gia back into the side this week, just to re-jig the forward line a bit. Patch has been in and out of the side all year, has consistently shown good for at reserves level, but hasn't performed on the big stage. Gia has been really good in the last month and deserves another opportunity, possibly his last, to see if he still has it. It would be fair to say that both players are playing for their careers at Foul Bay, but they might not be alone. This week will say a lot about whether there is still the hunger to go back-to-back. 'We have a lot of respect for Cradle Mountain. We think they have a side that is better than their ladder position. Stevie J will be hungry and Pendles is one of the best players in the comp. But, in fairness, we need to get our own backyard in order.' Foul Bay Ins: Adams, Giansiracusa Outs: Bartel (susp), Hawkins (omitted) Def: Ibbotson, Johnson, Pearce, Broughton (Emg: Harwood) Mid: Selwood, Kelly, Liberatore, J.Thomas (Emg. Vince) Ruck: Mumford Fwd: Roughead, Stokes, Adams, Giansiracusa (Emg. Hawkins) I/C: Judd, McLean (Emg. Trengove)

My recollection of the Wakik Match Committee meeting is a little hazy. I think the team to play the Warriors from the Whitsundays on Sunday is: D - Taylor, Hibberd, Duffield, Maguire (Russell) M - Fyfe, McVeigh, Hannebery, T. Mitchell (Crouch) R - Jacobs F - Wright, Robinson, Staker, Elliott (Podsiadly) I/C - I Smith, Ziebell (Macaffer)
If and when I find the minutes after talking to Chelsea, picking up TiB's mob, harvesting some spuds (why did I put those to tasks together?), catching some waves and some fish, getting the venison that's been hanging, checking the pinot supply and the sundry other tasks we attend to there may be some last minute changes.
