Being a split round, suggest everyone stick their teams (and amendments) here, as well as tsLeagues, for the Bleak Weeks. /Portals/0/User%20Images/Storm.jpg
With Coniglio and Walker gone for the year, my team is a bit all over the place right now. Just going to name those who are expected to play this weekend and ensure my emergency slots are filled given the uncertainty over a couple of players for next week. Hoping McPharlin, Gibson, Hill and a couple of others return this round - though it is unlikely Cooney is going to play this week. DEF: Frawley, blank, blank, blank (e: McPharlin) MID: Goddard, Armitage, Tyson, blank (e: Cornes) RUCK: blank FWD: Harvey, Westhoff, blank, blank, (e: Hunter) I/C: blank, blank (e: Cooney)
Get 'em while they're hot: DEF: Birchall, Johannisen, Gardiner, Laidler (Plowman) MID: Sloane, Barlow, Gibson, Thomas (Hrovat) RUC: Lobbe (Derickx) FWD: Kennedy, Motlop, Patton, Black (Butcher) I/C: Boak, Wines (Young)
Charlie's Opening team for the intra-island match against the devils for the inaugural 'We love our sister more than the other guys' trophy Def: Mackie, Hooker, Hansen, TBA (Atley) Mid: Swallow, Pearce, TBA, TBA (Savage) Ruck: TBA, (Apeness) Fwd: Petrie, TBA, TBA, TBA (Ambrose) Int: Bontempelli, TBA (Montagna)
No loopholing for the Chooks in this split round I think, all my non-playing players are in teams that are playing this week. Big game against the Big Knob. Winner more than likely finishes on top. Both teams scored 1470+ last week. Here is the team as it stands at the moment for the underdogs... Foul Bay: Def: Bartel, M.Johnson, Jaensch, Harwood (Emg. Broughton) Mid: J.Selwood, Liberatore, James Kelly, Judd (Emg. McLean) Ruck: Mumford Fwd: Pavlich, Dahlhaus, Hawkins, Dangerfield (Emg. Yarran) I/C: Stokes, Ja. Roughead (Emg. Vince)
Not a lot to play with this round, worried Kelly might wear a vest and Terlich will miss, hoping for a selection miracle to cover both in pt2 if that happens.

Probably not, I'm thinking. This is the first time Iron Knob and Foul Bay have met in a round other than round 1. Chooks would have been favourites in both seasons' opening rounds. And I don't think Chooks would have been underdogs against any other team at any stage.

Waikicks have had some relief from the injury cloud and may be able to field a full team for the split round. As previously noted TSLeagues seems to rebel against blanks and emergencies so the techno phobics known as the Match Committee have chosen not to test the technology against the chameleon from Powlett Plains' team. D - McVeigh, Duffield, H Taylor, Hibberd (Pedersen) M - Fyfe, Dal Santo, B Crouch, Hannebery (Ziebell) R - H McIntosh F - J Elliott, Podsiadly, M Robinson, T Mitchell (M Wright) I/C - S Jacobs, I Smith (Crameri) Footnote - saddened to see the retirements this week - Cassisi, Hayes and Maxwell will be missed. Harvey and Murphy (love your column in the Age) going around again is really feel good stuff.
Big round of ORFFA for the Bleak weeks. So many games between teams similarly placed on the ladder. With the season coming to a close, there's some very important games. Obviously, we've got 1 v 2 which has been in the news and anticipated for weeks. Also got: 6v 7; ]8v 9; 10v 12; ]]11v 13;And ]14v 17. ]

As Chief has indicated huge match this round with the winner likely finishing top (not that the helps much) Would have liked to have Ablett for this one ... Iron Knob D - Harbrow, Hodge, Hanley, Burgoyne (Henderson) M - NJones, Douglas, Shuey, Macrae (Mackay) R - Goldstein F - Goodes, JRiewoldt, Breust, Darling (Kersten) I - Griffen, Minson (Grima)
Venus Bay Vultures DEF: Watts, Everitt, Shaw, Docherty MID: Gibbs, Mundy, Beams, Gaff (Melksham) Ruck: Longer FWD: Blair, Parker, Mayes, Close (Howe) INT: Ellis, Young (J.Merret)
The Birdsville [span style='text-decoration: line-through;]Potatoes line up for this week. D: Enright, Houli, L McDonald, Patfull (T McDonald) M: Ebert, Murphy, Ray, Treloar (Lonergan) R: Clarke F: Cloke, Howlett, Jetta, Mayne (White) IC: McEvoy, Rischitelli (Green)
Apparently Cooney is playing this week, so I have added him into the team as a bench emergency at the expense of Newnes. I'll edit the team in the post above and also enter a provisional full team in the tsLeagues in case technology doesn't like me.
