Well here we are at the start of another round. Some teams looking for redemption after less than satisfactory performances, some looking to build on first up wins.
One thing for sure is that coaches should by now have entered their teams via the team page and be able to enter their teams here <a href="http://tooserious.net/ORFFA.php">http://tooserious.net/ORFFA.php[/url] each week.
Some big matches coming up this week which we will explore over the break.......<!--more-->
Whitsundays vs. Marble Bar
Both teams with something to prove this week in the big clash on Hook Island. Whitsundays just horrible last week and will be looking to bounce back while the boys from Marble Bar were unlucky in an narrow loss to the Antarcticans.
The one thing for certain here is that there wont be much left to drink at the Tiki Bar once the MIsfits are done with it.
Birdsville vs. Darraweit Guim
Just as sure as the Darraweit area holds some of the best Ordovician sedimentary sequences in Australia is the fact that the Guim are flying high after a huge win last week. A long trip via airship to Birdsville might affect the Dirigibles and we can rest assured that the Battlers will give as good as they get.
Gariwerd vs. Powlett Plains
After copping an old fashioned hiding last week the Cockies will be happy to get back on home ground. The Packers proved to be a formidable adversary last week, despite the fact that Cooney didnt make it on the park. The Powlett Plains coach will be looking to keep a steady claw on the tiller as Gariwerd look to turn it around.
Namitjara vs. Far Kew
The Frogs supporters will want to make sure they bring their steering locks and car alarms for the big clash with the Nungas, otherwise a few Range Rovers or BMWs might be up for sale real cheap down the local pub the next day. After big performances from Swan and Thompson last week, the loss of HMac and the return of NIc Nat for the home side might be the difference here.
Nunawading vs. Venus Bay
Nuffers smarting after defeat in the battle of the Easter Suburbs last week, whilst Venus Bay are celebrating after a big win in the Shaky Isles. The match up of Stanton vs. Watson should be a highlight of this game.
Waikikamoocow vs. Foul Bay
The Incorrigibles face a stern test this week after what can only be described as a less than satisfactory performance last week. The poultry farmers will be looking foul up the Kiwis hopes after a solid win last week.
Iron Knob vs. Gundagai
The protectors host Gundagai this week on a ground that is still considered by some to be not up to ORFFA standard. After copping a drubbing from the Chickens last week they will be lookin g to exploit their rough ground advantage to the maximum. The hopppers want to keep their winning ways as they adapt to the h arsh conditions.
Mt. Beauty vs. Cradle Mountain
The boys from postcode 3699 host the other mountain men in what promises to be a fantastic midfield clash. Cotchin and Martin against Pendles and Thomas should make for a fantastic spectacle for the crowd, which is expected to reach the ground capacity at the Mount Beauty Recreation Reserve.
Charlies Opening vs. Mawson Base
Fresh from an on the road victory last week, the Penguins once again cross the Southern Ocean to face the Spelunkers. Words have been exchanged on both sides between the teams and umpires are expected to keep a tight rein over a match where tempers may get out of hand. Jimmy Bartel makes a welcome return for Mawson after a case of frostbite last week.
