Well fight fans, another huge weekend of matches looms over us like Sandipants over an Oompa Loompa. Three teams still undefeated, then a log jam between 4th and 15th. It is mathematically possible for the Whitsundays to be in the eight by the end of this round, which just goes to show the even nature of the competition. Join me over the break, where I pose a little puzzle or two for you....

<!--more-->
Powletts Plains v Marble Bar
Both teams needing the four points here if they want to keep up with the pack in mid table. Packers still struggling to get a side on the park with Nat Fyfe and Luke Hodge still a way off returning yet. For the Misfits, Paddy Ryder has been showing the way. He just needs a bit of support for Marble Bar to turn it around.
Darraweit Guim v Far Kew
The quiet town of Darraweit Guim might not look like much on the surface. But when you look closer, every hairdresser in town has pictures of a certain long, flowing hairstyle that has taken the town by storm. Maric continues to produce the goods as the Guim look to stay unbeaten. The amphibians look to put the horrors of last weeks thrashing behind them.
Whitsundays v Venus Bay
Relaxed seaside lifestyles link these two clubs and clambake style parties are already planned for after the match social functions. This wont stop Venus Bay from trying to remain unbeaten against a Whitsundays side who won against its coaches expectations last week. An incident of Bufo marinus poisoning being blamed by Whitsundays for some bizarre coaching moves recently.
Birdsville v Foul Bay
Birdsville still reeling from the loss of Murphy, McEvoy and Fisher, which is quite frankly not the best time to be coming up against a rampant Foul Bay.
Travis Cloke is going to have to pull something enormous out this week or this could get ugly. Feel free to improvise around that feed line, budding comedians.
Gariwerd v Gundagai
8 point game this one, with both teams mid table. Hi Lo back for the Cockies this week which should add 40 or so to the score. ROK back and firing has made a big difference for the Hoppers, and I expect this to be a crackerjack game.
Namatjira v Cradle Mountain
A horror start to the season for the Nungas, who will be hard pressed to get the four points against a Cradle Mountain just starting to find some form. Pendles and Daisy travelling very nicely at the moment with Namatjira needing Gibbs to fire up.
Nunawading v Mawson Base
The Mawson team Fokker will be landing at Moorabbin, which followed by a short dog sled up Springvale road will leads us to face the Nuffas. With my luck, this will be the week Stanton doesnt get tagged. Nuna desperate for a win as currently stone motherless last. Hopefully this wont be the week.
Waikikamoocow v Charlies Opening
The winless Kiwis host the Spelunkers this week. I have a feeling about the Incorrigibles this week. Just what that feeling is, Im not sure yet. Ill let you know after the match.
Iron Knob v Mt Beauty
The Uglies on the road this week after a couple of impressive performances in the last couple. Iron Knob also sitting pretty on two wins, so this is looming as a real humdinger as both teams look to go 3-1. Ablett v Cotchin in the mids looks a classic match up here.
Good luck to all this week.....
