Welcome to the winter special influenza edition of ORFFA, which is going to be fairly brief, given that Ive been coughing up some interesting colours today. This is in keeping with the reduced squad sizes this week as we bravely play through the bye rounds. Continue reading over the break to find out how many doughnuts Mawson can manage in a side stacked with North players..............<!--more-->

    Marble Bar v Waikikamoocow

Youd have to be on the Kiwis to back up their big win from last week, given the recent form of Marble Bar. The only factors might be the huge 6000 km road trip to get there and baking heat. Mind you it is winter at Marble Bar.

    Iron Knob v Nunawading

Iron Knob scored 1419 and LOST last week. Given that Nuna managed a princely 825 last round, the Codpieces might just get over the line this week.

    Mt Beauty v Namatjira

The Uglies flying at the moment, whilst the Nungas unlucky to get beaten last week and still searching for that elusive first win.

    Charlies Opening v Gariwerd

The Cockies just cant seem to get home in the close ones, and have played much better than their ladder position would suggest. The Spelunkers need a win at the Pit to climb back into the eight.

    Mawson Base v Birdsville

Only looking at about 9 making it on the field for Mawson this week due to a surfeit of Kangaroos players.  Birdsville needing a win to stay in touch and they just might get one this week down at the Freezer. Weather is forecast for fine and is currently -28 C, so it could be a day for the long sleeves.

    Cradle Mountain v Whitsundays

The Warriors whisked away from their sub tropical paradise and the delights of the Tiki Bar to a snowy mountaintop to face a good side. Draw your own conclusions as to the likely result.

    Gundagai v Darraweit Guim

Match of the round here, with the Guim travelling up the Hume. Sandi v Mullet in a cracking ruck duel which may well decide the result. Then again, Nicky Dal might well have something to do with it too, given his opposition next week.

    Foul Bay v Powletts Plains

Another cracking game here with two wily coaches doing battle. The Chooks have the form, but you can never count out a coach with both anterior and  posterior cerebrums.

    Venus Bay v Far Kew

It will be just like school holidays for the Frogs as the head down the South Gippsland highway for a jolly game of beach footy at Venus Bay. Apart from the fact that the Pipi Diggers are 4 and 0 and may well give them a few problems, given recent form.

    Good Luck all.
