Howdy all, now I know that there are a few of us looking on at the fun that is the ORFFL and thinking - 'why didn't I get in on one of those?' Let me state first that the Commish has made it crystal clear that any expansion of the ORFFL is WHOLLY DEPENDENT on a vote by existing franchises to expand the league. So don't get upset if they don't. However, if we were to find a league (18)of dedicated coaches that will bother to put in a team every week, we may be able to exert some moral pressure on the existing franchises to show mercy on us. So if you're keen, think of some out of the way place to represent and preferably some crazy story to go along with it and post! say hello to the 'Mawson Base Penguins' coached in potentia by yours truly.
@Xenomorph I do not know much about ORRFL, actually very close to nothing, so can you message me the rules/game... from what I have heard it sounds awesome, never asked what it is though. Which probably isnt good as I already have said I will do it. which i will lol
Fitzy, If you follow some of the fourm topics listed under AFL/ORFFL and some of the main topics (click on the ORFFL tab on the right hand side of the home page will bring them all up) will give you the best guide to how it all works. Basically it is a draft based keeper league. Lots of fun. If you enjoy SuperCoach you will be all over the ORFFL/ORFFA like a fat boy on a cupcake.
Fitzy - go to the ORFFL section of posts. Read sticky posts. Please read carefully as we will be following their rules. Please ensure that you have your head around these rules soon as we may want to have a draft fairly soon and you will be stuffed if you don't understand it.
I used to give my sister cupcakes when we were young - but I think you are talking about cake related matters rather than juvenile flatulent buffoonery.
Interesting...ORFFL started as a reptile league. Possibly something philosoraptor can enlighten us about. http://woldog.angelfire.com/Football/1998/football.html
Think a bit about your team story and how they got there Fitzy - the fantasy part is at least half the fun here. Have a look at the other team posts in ORFFL forum too.
I'm in! Looking forward to it! Any chance I can have a name change now though, no worries if I can't, also when is the draft? I'm pumped for it! Haha
Alright awesome. Venus Bay Vulchers it is! Let me know if I'm in and when the draft is when you can Thanks

Quote from Fitzy on April 26, 2012, 14:19 Sorry mate been at school... Wagga Wagga Wombats ? Or is something those lines taken?
Wagga Wagga, which means place of many Crows, is quite urban and does not have wombats. However, nearby Wantabadgery does have quite a few. "Just sayin." . . . Vultures???
You're in. All will be notified of draft starting in due course. Is everyone keen to start rnd 6 and accept a bit of a skewed draw in the name of getting a season of sorts in this year? I don't think it's feasible to start this round as I am informed by certain horned persons that the draft can take a while with peoples availabilty etc. I will do a draft order based on some random number type internet generator. It's Vultures, by the way.

We were primitive in our methodology so our even our advanced philosophies are worthless today. As long as you had the Captain firmly planted on Robert Harvey and Shaun Rehn/Matthew Burton in the ruck you were set.
Fitzy, Venus Bay in Vic or SA? X, Yep the draft will take a while unless you are really strict on timing between picks. Only takes 1 unavailable to delay things for everyone.
