This week’s RIVALRY ROUND matches, bolded teams currently in the top 8
    - Note if the derbies have a name or cup post it below and I will update the OP!!

Mole Creek Glow-Worms (5-2) vs Drouin Dropbears (7-0)
1st vs 5th. One senses the undefeated Dropbears will want to hand out a derby smashing to their southern opponents who have defied all probabilities to have won 5 in a row, 4 of which have been with paltry scores due to their Fremantle of 2013 type manic defense.

Black Swamp 29ers (5-2) vs Chinchilla Chumps (6-1)
    3rd vs 4th. The 6 Stubby derby. Game on @choppers !

Wedge Island White Pointers (3-4) vs Neptune Island Noahs (7-0)
2nd vs 9th. There is no love lost as the Originals visit the Copycats. Which Shark will prevail ? Why do I feel like ordering a flake and chips for my evening meal tonight ?

Dingo Beach Butchers (4-3) vs Cockburn Avengers (3-4)
6th vs 7th. The Hopper-Keays Cup. The Butchers (4-3) will host the Avengers in a game of opposites with Dingo Beach winning 4 then losing 3 while their opponents have the reverse form line (something which will continue until at least Round 9).

Jan Juc Ducks (3-4) vs Rutherglen Fugitives (2-5)
8th vs 11th. Both teams love to run and gun, so a shootout will not surprise. Jan Juc has lost games when scoring big scores, while Rutherglen has lost multiple close ones. An 8 pointer for Rutherglen after 3 consecutive losses.

Maralinga Atoms (3-4) vs Port Lincoln Power (2-5)
10th vs 14th. Both teams have scored 8450 points so far this season. Maralinga will look to make this their 4th straight win in the SA Power Cup match against the underdog Power.

Mt Thirsty Boozers (2-5) vs Useless Loop Virgins (2-5)
12th vs 13th. Only 2 points scored between them. An 8 pointer with a long road back for the loser. 3 straight losses up against 4 straight losses. Whichever way this one goes let's hope the winners remember the team song.

Heard Island Shags (2-5) vs Walpole Woylies (0-7)
15th vs 16th. The “Darcy Byrne-Jones Vase” (except that the Woylies are already pretty much locked in for MSD Pick #1, and my apologies to the other Darcy [MacPherson] and others). The longest distance “derby” there is provides the Woylies with a reasonable chance of opening their account after 2 sub 30 point losses (Rds3 and 7) while the Shags need a win to gain momentum and challenge for the finals.

    Good work @TheTassieHawk !
Amazing round of matches. The ORFFF season has played out finely to serve up a absolute mouth watering treat of matches for rivalry round.

a game with 2 teams equal on current points scored.
    15 v 16
    12 v 13
    3 v 4
    6 v 7 strangely with reverse wins/losses going on

    1st vs 5th should be a cracker

The originals vs the copycats should always be a big one...

and only 1 game left, 8th vs 11th, both teams trying to reverse their fortunes and keep in sight of the top 8.

Thanks @TheTassieHawk for the preview and bringing all this to our attention. What a big round in the ORFFF!

When's the draft??? This is sad... Finally have a ruckman. Only have one emerg playing. How ironic, took over the team after the first few picks, already selected by then where lobbe, Deledio and Rockliff. Got absolutely nothing from them combined this year.

smith, adcock, baguley, birchall (have no one playing)
TMitchell, SMitchell, Boak, Motlop (have no one left)
    Brooksby
    JRiewoldt, Deledio, Petrie, Dixon, (Brown)
gibson, Goddard (Again, no one left playing to make emerg)

Deledio and Rocky are quality, injuries happen.. Lobbe should have been a stellar pick this year with no Ryder

Looking forward to the SA Power Cup this week against the local rivals Port Lincoln. As TTH said these teams couldn't be more evenly matched, both having scored 8450 points this season.

In Atom team news the decision to trade SD Thompson is hurting more and more each week - with two OOP players now having to cover down back.

D: Burgoyne, Lonergan, Stanley*, Lang* (Milera*)
M: Coniglio, A. Swallow, NDS, Redden (Duggan)
    R: McEvoy
F: Martin, Wingard, N. Riewoldt, Menzel (D. Rioli)
    I: Gibbs, B. Crouch (Dunkley)
    Out: Reid
    In: Dunkley, Rioli

Copycats????? How can the most feared marine predator be a copycat of the man that built the Ark :p

Sad for me to admit, but you've got this match in the bag mate - don't think I have many defenders this week with Andrews being added to the medical room :(

Saturday night score check from the 6 stubby derby match @ the paddock

The home side are 9/688 with Westhoff, Bont, Viney, Geary, Newnes and Bruce to play
The chumps are 5/379 with Tuohy, Kerridge, E-Wood, Picken, Harmes, McLean, Dickson, Montagna, Armitage and NicNat to play

The 29ers will need to hold a decent lead going into the last, their main hope at this stage appears to be one or more of the Chumps bulldogs players experience a misadventure in the boggy conditions between the change rooms and the field of play

Boozers finally post a score. 1323 I believe. And that's without having half a team. Still looks like a loss with the virgins 828 with 5 to play. And of course all eagles scoring well in the demolition. 12 big tonnes in this clash with 10 over 120. But another week and another loss for the reserves version of the boozers
