Can't remember if we decided to post our teams in a thread somewhere.........can anyone help with that?
Good to see Len has at least posted his players on the field, from tonight's Carl v Rich game and I should have done the same but........no excuses really. so here's my team for this weekends Rd 1 fixture. And I really think we need to incorporate a rule that has everyone posting their team in a thread prior to kick-off for each subsequent round, because right now, I haven't got a clue who Mt.Thirsty is putting on the field, and leematty also doesn't have any idea who my on field players are.......I really don't think that's good enough..........over to the powers that be..please make it happen...... My team DEF Tuohy Grundy Wood Mackie (Adams) MID Griffen JPK Stevens Armitage (Caddy) RUC Naitanui (Phillips) FWD Kerridge Hall Higgins Montagna (Boekhorst) !/C Townsend Picken subject to late changes before lockout Saturday.......
The Avengers R1 team, subject to any late changes prior to the Giants Dees game; DEFENDER - Heath Shaw - Matthew Boyd - Garrick Ibbotson - Tom Sheridan (Zac Williams) MIDFIELDER - Callan Ward - Adam Treloar - Andrew GAFF - Marc Murphy (Callum Mills) RUCK - Shaun Hampson FORWARD - Kurt Tippett - Eddie Betts - Chris Mayne - Jack Steele (Jack Martin) INTERCHANGE - Scott Thompson - Lachlan Hunter - (Edward CURNOW)
Neptune Island host the Green-beenied Slugs Noahs completely rad line-up: D: R Murphy, Rich, Johanissen, Malceski (Laidler) M: Sloane, Prestia, Zaha, Tyson (Josh Kelly) R: Gawn F: Bell, M Weller, J Hill, Leuy (Boyd) I/C: Bastinac, Ross (Bugg)
is loopholing allowed? i cant recall... i.e. can i now name a non playing player in forward line to therefore utilise my emergency score?
I'm just putting this out there, I'm not a fan of loopholing, never have been and never will be.........not everyone has that opportunity, only some, so it becomes an unfair competition. A bit like the AFL really, and as we are an AFL fantasy comp, I suppose the majority are OK with it. I'm not.
I am not using it for round 1 and am not planning to do so for afl rounds 16 and 17 unless I have lost a game through not loopholing this week or in round 16 My issue is not so much the unfairness you mentioned but more the lack of realism of naming someone who isn't named for their afl club (even as an emg)
Heard Island: D: Broadbent, McGovern, SD Thompson, Tarrant (Maynard) M: Ellis, Fyfe, Cunnington, MCrouch (Hallahan) R: Kreuzer F: CRioli, Hickey, Simpkin, Daniher (Lonie) I: DPearce, JLloyd (Taberner)
Ive got no problem with loopholing. As long as people dont use blanks in the starting XV. When the ORFFA first started i suggested that we shouldnt be allowed to loophole, but ive had a change of heart over the years.
black swamp Bartel garland walker Geary - Mayes Swan newnes bont duckwood - jameskelly Westhoff barlow puopolo zacClarke - BenBrown Sinclair - no emg grigg cotchin -viney emg (to play for grigg) All survived the jet boat trip over and the Wedge Island welcoming committee Bruce, cutler, and Murdoch to do some Commando training at Wedge Island along with Collins, T Menzel and any unused emergencies, Grigg, McVeigh and Masten listed as back in a few weeks
I think we established no blanks as a rule and i think walesy said this is supported by the system which is good I don't feel strongly and expect I could well have a change of heart in future Unless we get an explosion of Thursday night AFL footy then we can probably tweak the 2017 ORFFF fixture so that teams that don't wish to loophole can play against each other in one or more Loophole rounds
