A 9 hour limit applies to take the current selection, with the clock pausing between midnight and 6am in the coaches Timezone (noting @snoz is in New York )

A coach trading out the current pick via an indraft live trade must post the trade in the appropriate thread within 6 hours of being on the clock and the coach trading in the pick has the remainder of the original 9 hour time limit to confirm the trade and take the draft selection.

Let’s make it a quick and enjoyable draft as we aim to complete things within our usual 6-8 day timeframe noting our post draft trade period will run from completion of this draft until 10pm Melb time on Tuesday 11th March is impacted if we fall behind the pace.

Some draft 2025 PSD in-draft trading guidelines are as follows, before sending or responding to trade offers please review these and check whether both parties are ticking off against them

1 - Eligible live trades are where the exchange has a matching number of current assets - either 1 or 2 - exchanged, with a maximum of 1 player being exchanged between the 2 sides in a single trade. Future draft pick/s (2025 MSD and 2026 PSD) and pick swaps can be involved in any trade.

For example there are 4 deal structures which are compliant
* single pick each - exchange of one current (2025 PSD) pick each, with exchange of 2026 PSD pick/s
(if the trade does not include 2026 PSD picks or pick swaps the trade is considered as unbalanced as the picks exchanged in the current draft have different values)
* two picks each - exchange of two current (2025 PSD) picks each, with or without exchange of 2026 PSD picks
* 1 player exchanged for one current (2025 PSD) pick, with or without exchange of 2026 PSD picks
* 1 player and one current (2025 PSD) pick for two current (2025 PSD) picks, with or without exchange of 2026 PSD picks

2 - Teams must use at least 4 draft selections and have 4 newly drafted players in their final 30 players as at the end of the 2025 PSD (aka the Lee Matty rule).

3 - as per rule 4 (l) the Board will apply any other restrictions required to ensure the that in-draft trading and the draft itself run as smoothly as possible.

"Early" = night before
30 minutes prior = as it was a proxy pick and I am doing other things it was either post then or delay your pick (not ideal) = not in the same ballpark as a Saturday night start
