<p style='color: #424242; margin-bottom: 0px;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]Ok, well I'd bookmarked this round from the outset as containing one of the most pivotal clashes of the season; the Grand Final of 2014 rematch. On the face of it though, it's looking a sight underwhelming. Which was kind of the popular opinion going into last year's GF, and for the same reasons. Injuries and general absenteeism have thoroughly diminished one side's chances of victory.

<p style='color: #424242; margin-bottom: 0px;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]By my count Poowong have between 17-19 players lining up in their AFL this week; certainly enough to field an full ORFFL XV. Yet it's the calibre of players missing from their line-up that tells the desolate truth; Ablett, arguably still the best player in the game, Brad Crouch, one of the most impressive young talents going around, and in Darling and Cooney two of Poowong's more productive and reliable FWDs. You see a Joel Patful you can replace in a side (ignoring the fact that you may never need to given his elite durability). A Gary Ablett on the other hand, well there's only one.
    <p style='color: #424242; margin-bottom: 0px;]
<p style='color: #424242; margin-bottom: 0px;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]Over at Woy Woy 2015 has started in much the same fashion as 2014 (and indeed every other year really); playing well, scoring points, losing matches. How is that the Wizards have scored the 5th most points in 3 weeks and yet have only have one win on the board?
<p style='color: #424242; margin-bottom: 0px;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]Just magic I suppose. Despite their record what sets the reigning premier apart from other sides in the competition is the depth of their playing list. Only 4 of their list of 26 has yet to see regular games in 2015. Well that and that they have a FWD in Betts averaging over 110ppg and two DEFs in Hodge and McDonald averaging likewise.
    <p style='color: #424242; margin-bottom: 0px;]
<p style='color: #424242; margin-bottom: 0px;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]Derided by this commentator as delusional, Woy Woy's list management strategy of surrounding ageing stars with yet more ageing role-players has not only won them a flag and proved a certain detractor wrong, it's a strategy that keeps them in more games than many an other side. No doubt if will fall over eventually as Father Time has his way with us al in the end, however I don't think he'll come calling this weekend.

Magicians should win this week. Judd/Gray out. It's time for the depth at the Hammers to stand up.

Only because of Tyrone Vickery, I think the Savages will salute and give the Bullfrogs a veritable spanking this weekend...

Well your predecessor Merton had a 0-5 record against Sarah Island…

…on the other hand the Tiges are playing Melbourne so all things are possible.

LOL Hornsy. Thrilled to be game of the round this week,
I reek of Geelong at the moment, ageing stars with new talent who aren't doing much.

      Bring on the mid-season draft

If only the Tigers had won it could have been something special... As it is looking at the Tiges top scorers tonight it is all bullfrogs..

An 18 point win to the Bullfrogs!!! Turns out that not even Tyrone Vickery could get in the way of the inaugural win over the Savages.

The hoodoo is broken. Must've been a Meerkat thing.

Meanwhile, band-aid team managed to pull out another win and against our Western rivals too o/

Humpty Doo looking like they can dominate the league if they manage to put all their players on the field and the good news for finals aspirants the Quolls and Potoroos after a terrible start is at least one of them will win next week.

Actually spots for finals looks highly competitive this year if first four rounds is anything to go by

Good game and congrats. Sitting in 4th with McGovern and Rance performing a Twin Towers act in defence. Looking very sharp.

Agree with P_L, comp is very even this year, not a lot a gap between the top and middle 6's.

Finally something to smile about for the the Pigs. Stringer and Hogan woohoo, plus some of the young mids starting to show some signs. Anyone got a spare ruckman? I've got 2 duds and a kid. Commiserations to Coulta though.

Ah, many congratulations to the Bullfrogs! Bravo Stripey.

Great to see at least one of my draft picks is doing the job in Mr McGovern. Pity I couldn't pick him up for my own ORFFA team.

If Rance doesn't get you (or take an intercept mark), McGovern will.

No team that hasn't won at least 1 game, highly competitive first 4 rounds, spots for finals looking like they could go to any number of teams........geez the person who came up with the ORFFL fixture should take over from the guy doing the AFL one :)

Ha, imagine being the coach who over-rated Sylvia so much they picked him in the 4th round of the initial draft. What a silly goose.

Warburton are still reeling over the loss of one of our spiritual leaders Captain Col . The prized Warburton forward line was never the same once he shifted out west. The Warburton coaching staff have decided to take a sabbatical to ponder how to rebuild the list. So we are heading to deepest darkest Sth America til July 6th and have recruited guest Coach The Tassie Hawk as interim coach . Hopefully the change of coaching will lead to a change of fortune and we would like to Welcome him as part of the team. Warburton won't be engaging in trades this mid season but may be a part of the draft.

Go Wanderers we will be checking in when internet permits to see how the season is progressing.
