<p style='color: #424242;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]An ORFFL curio for you all; only 2 players have spent 3 years at an ORFFL Club (and are going into their 4th) while having played less than 20 AFL games. Want to guess who those 2 lucky folk are?
    <p style='color: #424242;]
    <p style='color: #424242;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]SPOILER ALERT
    <p style='color: #424242;]
    <p style='color: #424242;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]Matthew Buntine TLP (21yo, ORFFL Career avg. 62.44, 16 games)
    <p style='color: #424242;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]Daniel Menzel HDH (23yo, ORFFL Career avg. 0.00, 0 games)
    <p style='color: #424242;]
<p style='color: #424242;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]Before I proceed with some mild condemnation it behooves me to point out that generally I'm in favour of giving 3 year contracts to recruits under 21 years of age. Any number of those 51 weeks could be spent in the lower leagues, suffering from injury or sent to a remedial school to learn how run defensively. You suffer these absences in the hope that by the end of this 3 year contract that they'd have shown something in the preceding years on your list to suggest that by the end of their next 3 year contract they'd be firmly established in your sides B15. Warranting the investment of both a presumably early draft pick and the 3 years they've spent on your list doing probably not much.
    <p style='color: #424242;]
<p style='color: #424242;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]So let's cut to the chase and get out the blowtorch and pliers; I don't think Buntine has shown that he'll be in GWS B22 in 3 years, and thus if he's not playing, he won't be making any ORFFL sides B15.
    <p style='color: #424242;]
    <p style='color: #424242;][span style='letter-spacing: 0px;]And similarly thusly, Daniel Menzel. Nup.

I agree with the blowtorch and pliers. You should totally delist Tom Mitchell. Make a statement and do it at the MSD

Crap, went out at 5 and didn't see the changes putting Shenton out and Warnock in

Buntine is an interesting one. Has certainly been in the TLP delistment group each year. I am probably looking at him with rose coloured glasses, but i think he has shown that he can play a role, if not for GWS then maybe someone else. The arrival of Shaw and Patfull have pushed him down the pecking order, which combined with a bad run with injury meant he hasn't had the opportunity to have a solid run in the seniors. He played well in the pre season but then got relegated when the real stuff started which was disappointing.
Menzel's troubles have been well documented. Along with Morabito, and potentially Patton, they may well have their careers destroyed by injury.

      3-2! o/

Only out of finals and differences. Not bad for the 4th worst scoring team Shows anything can happen when you actually have 15 players to choose.

Thanks for the rocket for Thurlow H, worked wonders. Can Smith, Tyson and Rohan get named and shamed this week please.

Snakes emerging, good feeling around the club today, Pav to be tested during the week, but we are hoping he comes up.

Looking forward to a big contest with Coulta this week

Goal kicking practice for Christensen at SI this week?

Promises to be a good game Johnson - am hoping Jasper continues on with his current AA form, Sarge bags another 5, and the Chad continues his recent good form along with Ebo.

Christensen needs to practise winning the ball when the game is still a contest.

With Kelly, Lewis and Sloane out and Brisbane up against Carlton he may just get his chance.

Menzel not far off a return, probably a few weeks after Scharenberg and a few before Moore.

Jasper is going to attract a lot of attention from opposition coaches me thinks... His efficiency (83%) is miles high.

What sort of pre-season did Christensen do anyway, looking slightly pudgy??

Also, is there anything in the rules compendium that says coaches can't delist someone mid-season?

You can definitely delist players midseason, that's how the draft happens.

Not sure if there's a maximum number of delistings? I assume a 'reasonable' few.

Well only 6 weeks till the mid season draft.... I obviously don't have any holes in my team so have no interest whatsoever in participating (did anyone say Ty Vickery?), but just had a quick look at the free agents. Am I right in thinking Ellis-Yolmen, Vandenberg and Oxley are all free agents?

A young buck by the name of Josh Glenn tonned up on debut last weekend, what other gems have presented themselves already this season??

that was quick PL! An interesting list, if the bullfrogs continue on their merry way, I doubt any of these gems will be making their way up to the Murray region to play for the Bullfrogs.
